This is the kind of question I was asking myself in my spirit. Why? Because after joining SFI I was not doing what I have decided to this new year. Now, my answer is a SFI affiliate must consider it as his own business and have a burning small voice encouraging him saying:''Hey, you guy, learn something every day about your SFI business and you'll be rewarded as you are committed to do it without giving up''
Very good question, I guess you are a new affiliate. If so, welcome aboard and if not wish you all the best. Back to the question, as a new affiliate you have come on board as a result of being convinced that you can make a good income here. First things first, you need to learn a lot from your sponsor, if not then the sponsor of your sponsor. Within your sponsor's genealogy there are a few of those who have succeeded. You need to learn from them about their success. The first month should be focused more on learning than earning, if you earn then that's a plus. Wishing you all the best.

This is a very important question. New affiliates who just joined, might feel overwhelmed with the vast information he has to learn. How SFI designed the affiliate program is very much basic, concise and easy to follow and understand. You need to take your time to read and digest the information as a new affiliate. It is like when you are in the first grade, you are learning the basic, i.e. the SFI BASICS. You start from here and move on. Of course, it depends how much time you invest each day in reading and learning the affiliate program. Write down and commit how much time you spent each day. Have a plan. Be specific and objective in your day to day goal. Are you a fast learner, very much focus, and consistent with your plan each day? Then this will ensure your first month financial return. SFI Affiliate program is not a quick money scheme. You earn while you learn! You have to believe what you do and put your mind into it. This will lead you to attain financial freedom.

Good financial return in first month means a quick rich program and SFI is not designed for that. Most of the affiliates think they will earn at the end of first month, so i usually let them know about the compensation plan, basics before they move to a fast track or start working.
So only those affiliates who loves to work after understanding the basics and plan, i help them all the way i can 24x7.
During the first month in SFI, we learn the method, read launchpad and learn about about SFI. So i feel looking for money during the month is not a great idea, but it gives only frustration. Its the duty of sponsor to aware his PSAs.

Welcome and communicate with the new affiliate. Guide them to accumulate VERSA points
say 500 within 24 Hrs of joining and how to achieve 1500 VERSA points to become EA and then make efforts to develop their down line. Every one cannot buy or invest. Encourage the new affiliate not to give up. LAUNCHPAD & BASICS lessons will help them and further familiarise SFI functions by more involvement. The EA benefits will be there if they can maintain it and guide them as and when they communicate with the sponsor. In short create interest and success in his SFI business entrepreneurship.

I Think this is a excellent question but i feel there is to much talk about financial gain for new affiliates.I am in SFI now for 5 months and i only know 50% of this business i would not expect big financial gains until at least i know 90% of this business there is so much to learn, so i would say to all Affiliates studio and learn (Rome wasn't Built in a Day)
Everyone says it is basically impossible... well... it is, if your affiliate can promote TC products and make direct sales to people they refer, they will make a great commission. So theoretically, the best way to make the highest sales is simply to sell TC products. If you can sell a couple of thousand dollars' sales the first month then you'll get a couple hundred in commissions in the first month. It is SIMPLE, but it is not EASY! :)
New affiliates should focus on finishing all their training along with the daily "to do list", and setting up a standing order. Also, they should focus on building their downline. Never let any negative thoughts make you want to quit, success does not always happen over night.
You need to get referrals who want to advance to EA status like you. Also, you want to get your product on Tripleclicks and get your referral to buy there. When you start having enough income to pay for it, you need to start a standing order. If you can do that before you staart earning, fine, but do not go overboard and spend more than you take in. Never do that.Focus on getting referrals who buy at Tripleclicks and you use it as your store too, for things you normally buy. And get referals who want to work at home and build toward residual income. Teach them how. Do not be in a rush. Do your homework, lay your groundwork and you can do this business.

Hmm. Honestly, in the first month, I don't want my affiliates to primarily focus on earning. Instead, I encourage them to learn as much about the business as possible. One lesson a day on the LaunchPad is what I stress to them so that they don't get overwhelmed. Also, I advise them to read the links within these lessons to learn even more about that day's topic. If possible, read those lessons twice or even three times so that they are able to absorb even more information from that lesson.
But, I do understand that some affiliates want to do something to possibly earn them cash so that they feel that their efforts aren't futile. Their best bet would probably be to promote products on the TripleClicks Store. Everyday, promote 3 - 5 products on social networking sites. By the end of the month, they should be able to get at least 1 or 2 sales. And not only will they see $ commission, but they probably will see VP income as well. That should get them going and inspire to aim even higher.
