Momentum signifies progress or development that is becoming faster or stronger, so there is need to maintain and keep the momentum going because it is a very positive development in your team. However, the question is how to maintain or keep improving the momentum and below is my opinion.
1. Training and mentoring:
The nature of this business in particular and internet marketing in general is very dynamic, so you need to create a platform with which you will keep your team up to date in modern and changing techniques in order to boost present momentum and to avoid being stuck in the past.
3. Contests:
Hold Contests as motivating technique to encourage your team to maintain, improve and try new endeavours. It could be a simple giveaway or a reward for whoever achieves targets, that at the least, maintain current momentum levels.
For example you may set a reward for any member of your team who generates a certain number of PSAs per month, using the current average as a minimum. So if the current average is 10 PSAs, you may set the target at between 10 and 15 PSAs per month. This means your are maintaining the current momentum of 10 PSAs and boosting this momentum from 11 to 15 PSAs subsequently.
Please note that it is not just enough to give rewards, but they should be commensurate with the achievement.
4. Recognition and rewards:
These are effective incentives to motivate your team to keep working hard and not to let up the momentum. In this situation reward may not only be a result of a contest but for other indications of hard work, like daily logins, maintaining at least EA status on a consistent basis, E365 Finalist, Power Rank and so on. Merely recognising the efforts of your team members in your Team Mails, Stream Posts, Forum, Leadership Page etc is another significant way to motivate and sheer your team to keep up the good work.
5. Organise online/physical events:
The purpose here is to interact virtually or/and physically in order to bring reality of existence among yourselves into your team. As they often say, seeing is believing and your team members will have the opportunity to brainstorm, share ideas and personal success stories. This also will encourage social relationships and a sense of 'family'. The more this goes on, the more commitment each member may be and the overall momentum of your team will gradually be boosted.
In conclusion, you must realise that to maintain and boost team momentum will definitely not encompass all teams members, so be prepared to build this momentum around the serious members of your group. However, you do not need to give up on others, but to guide and support them, with the objective of bringing them into this active and serious part of your team, in order to enlarge the sphere of momentum building.
