When someone starts out in online marketing or even becoming an Entrepreneur in general there are many ways to start building your knowledge base.

When I start, there were brand new strange skills to learn that I didn’t even know existed before I started to venture into the internet world. Unfortunately, most of the time part of that learning path is making mistakes. Some people have very unrealistic expectations. There is no such thing as a “get rich quick scheme” that is real business. There is also no such thing as a “push button” system.

Here are a few things I've realized:

- Basic thing is the ability to LEARN and the learning process.

- Apply what you have learned.

- Everyone learns in their own special way so, find the way you learn best and apply it.

- Find something you are a little afraid of and make yourself do it, you will find yourself growing

- You can never know everything, be okay with that, admit it, and ASK.

- Find out what kind of learning you prefer (by reading, listening...)

- Make it about serving others and their needs and problems.

Understand that just a few small changes of the way you talk to yourself can have a fundamental impact on your business

The best way would be to "Preach what we practice". For the affiliates to treat this as a serious business would be to make sure that we tell them our experiences and most important be open about "what has not worked" more than "what has worked".

We, ourselves, need to be positive and believe that all the associates are here to make their lives better. That's a starting point. Having done that it becomes easier to to deal with associates who are serious and who are not. We are in an online business and obviously the approach has to be different than the conventional one's. I for one believe that we shall have to show the end 2 end capabilities of SFI to show the sheer size of the business and opportunity it provides people to succeed. You may want to ask the following questions and also show the affiliates what SFI provides as an answer:

1. Is the organization stable? - Absolutely. 14 years of successful run with continuous evolution and growth and many success stories.

2. Do I need to invest? - Literally no investment to start a business But invest progressively depending upon your propensity to grow.

3. What if I fail? - SFI has created so much of support material and all of them are tried and tested for success. Additionally, the forum is so strong you literally can reach out to anybody for help.

4. Do I make money from day 1? = Well no. Nobody in this world provides charity. You put in your effort , follow the rules, work hard, think different. You are bound to succeed. Success comes only to those who work for it with dedication, determination and hard work.

There are many more things we could highlight for the associates to take this business seriously. Bottom-line - If your intention is to become an entrepreneur, independent, taking control of your life, make your own decision - "SFI is the place to be in". Work hard, live easy, enjoy life and most importantly "hold your head high".

SFI has made every effort to show affiliates, right from the beginning, that this business is really a business. So we should never tell people that they will make instant income tomorrow or today by joining any business venture, including SFI! When people sign up, we should always let them know that they have work to do and that it takes time to grow any business.

Other than telling people these things and showing them these things in the training, there's nothing you can do. There are people out there who want everything handed to them on a silver platter. They want a hand-out. They want a charity to give them money so they don't have to work for it. They think they have Aladdin's lamp. A genie is supposed to give them instant gratification magically. That is so unrealistic! You cannot change their mind set. All you can do is wish them well and move on. Give your attention to those who are willing to work. You will find that this really pays off, in the long run.

This is a very good question and the answer lies within the question. First of all, SFI is a real business and therefore should be treated as such. As with any business there are a few things to consider:

1. The costs - no business owner expects to start a business for free. It cost in numerous ways that include time and money. Some of the costs that should be considered are as follows:

1A. Start-up cost. When compared to a traditional brick-and-mortar business, SFI has practically no upfront start up costs. While it is necessary to have a computer or smart device that is internet capable, you can use free internet sources and borrow a computer until you are able to buy one. Free sources in this category could be the cafe, a public library, a relative, or a close friend that has these. Who knows you may be able to sponsor them when they see your progress.

2A. Operational costs. Again when compared to a traditional business, SFI has very little if any operational cost. It cost no more that the capital you set aside for your marketing and promotion, product research & development, and logistics. $90/mo is plenty to take care of your business needs in the beginning. I recommend that $30 of those dollars be invested in a transfer buy that will maintain your EA2 status. Invest another 30 in growing your network. Invest the last $30.00 in supporting your network and Pricebender auctions.

2. Business plan. Your business plan is going to outlay your mission statement and objectives as well as set the plan of action for your management plan, merchandising plan, financial plan, and operational plan. Without plans for success, you doom your business to failure even before you begin.

Treat SFI like a business entity for profitable purposes. Like all businesses, affiliates should come up with a mission statement and business goals. Make short term and long term plans.

The profit motive goes without saying but if affiliates think that SFI is some “get rich quick” scheme then they are in for some disappointment. Approach the business by setting realistic achievable goals and set a comfortable time-frame to achieve these goals. Measure your performance with the goals set and take corrective action for deviations.

Like all other businesses set a budget for your SFI business. How much are you willing to spend at TripleClicks, paid advertising etc.

The training element is important for any business. SFI has vast resources to train affiliates in building up their SFI business. Take advantage of these resources.

Firstly, you need to explained to your affilates that SFI is a business like any other business (it takes some time to start earning) but maybe with a litle bit of fun. Beside that, after joying SFI they are like into a middle of jungle and not know where to look and where to go and start. How you communicate with your affiliates will determine their perception about SFI. Communication is very important right in the beginning as affiliates join in your team.

This is a question that takes a lot into consideration.

The affiiates we want are the ones who do see this as a business, that are willing to invest a bit of money and a lot of time, and understand all "over night success" stories actually took at least 3 years.

We hear about looking for the " 4 aces", the ones that are there that do get it and that is perhaps what we need to do. Rather than trying to get the inactives to log in and get it, give extra encouragement to the ones who are going to be the leaders of tomorrow.

When someone looks at SFI they will see that there is a lot of work to do, you need to log in everyday and it takes time. Some will not be able to handle this and wil become inactive, either because they are sitting there watching TV or because they are off looking for a get rich quick scheme, because they need that, need the false promise. They are not entrepreners and never will be.

Then you get the ones who are inspired by the fact they can get stuck in, put in some real effort and that, in time, it will pay off.

Help them set goals and achieve them each month. Then set bigger goals and achieve them.
