I think Gery answers this question quite exactly when he alludes to the fact that we need to show our new affiliates that we care about them, that we understand them, and that we want them to succeed. The same can be said about a letter to a perspective affiliate. Take the time to write your letter from your heart.

The wrong answer is to write a standard letter that you would send in an auto-responder. A letter you write from the heart will show your perspective affiliate that they will be working with someone that will stand beside them while they embark upon this new venture they are contemplating.

What you write is not as important as how it is written. Write what you believe and believe every bit of what you write, because if you don't....that person will be inactive in no time. On my leadership page, my best suggestion includes studying the system and all the training allotted to us through the system; because, the more you know about the system, the easier it is to teach your down-line the same.

Hi Mark,

To answer your question, I'd say "don't overdo it", meaning just concentrate on the most important things there are. If people want to know more, they usually want to know the answer to "what's in it for me?" question and it's difficult to have one univeral answer for all of them.

What I'd put in such a letter would be:

1. What is SFI - most probably they already know that from you
2. Why join?
- earning opportunity as an affilate
- becoming an ECA opportunity if you have a business of your own (additional distribution channel)
3. Ways to earn money
- as an affiliate
- as an ECA
4. Networking - meeting like minded individuals from all over the world and your country, connecting with them
5. Last but not least - an additional stream of long term passive income in the future.

Now, just develop those five points as you find fit, and voila - your letter is ready.

If a potential affiliate is interested in SFI, a short promotional email with the link to your gateway is all you need. Since SFI is free to join you might mention that there is no upfront cost to start and they can test drive SFI as long as they like.

You want the action to sign up first and foremost. I'd also mention that you will be available to assist them along the way.

Getting into too many details in the beginning is not a good idea. Write the steps to join Free and give them a reason to join. For some text to use in your emails go to:

Your letter should contain....

1) Description of SFI Basics

2) Getting started with this awesome internet job

3) Let them know that without doing their's daily actions, they won't succeed

4) Also do let them know that if they won't build their own team, they won't get
any commissions

5) But for a start, just let them to "READ" everything about this job....They should
take time to learn about everything

6) Also direct them to read FORUM posts....There are lots of useful texts written there

7) And of course inform them, if they want really to EARN some $$$$, they should make
a BIG TEAM ....and soon become at least BTL ....

This is a great question as the answers from affiliates have been great in helping all of us to be effective communicators when introducing SFI to people who are interested in this organization.

The first part of this question, for me, is consideration of the letter. A "letter" comes in different forms - electronic, paper, card, post-card and even on business cards. So for me, I consider the type of letter that is a fit for the individual that I am communicating to.

Once the "format" of letter is decided then content (what do I say) comes next. I often approach my comments about SFI as a means of building not only my personal world but also the world in which my family and friends will feel fulfilled. I also share how SFI has helped me to fulfil my dreams for not only self but for those I care about. I then proceed to share some other successes from affiliates (testimonials) about what SFI has done for them.

In my humble opinion, it is important to assist future members of SFI - either as an affiliate or a TripleClicks member to understand how there is personal benefit so the more real that the SFI experience can become the more likely you will have someone join SFI.

Your wording about "wanting to know more about SFI" is the key to any letter that is sent out to potential affiliates as "knowing" means to not only answering "WHAT" SFI is, not only "HOW" SFI helps people achieve their dreams but also needs "WHY" the individual should join SFI.

I sometimes will send a letter in answer to a question from someone who is looking at the SFI business. However, the best solution I have found is to send them the first gateway link: http://www.sfi4.com/(yournumber)/FREE, suggest they join with no obligation, and
they gain access to the entire Backoffice where they can get way more information than I am able to give them. This costs them nothing and if they don't like what they see, they can just click it away and that's it.

Should someone not want to do that, maybe you don't need them on your team. Having the
information all available to them is so different from many other programs online. Most require you pay first before they give you any info. People are skeptical of almost everything on the internet.

Even if your prospect is brand new to online marketing and making money on the internet, the SFI training and business plan is so open and easy to understand and they should find all the help there they need to decide if SFI is for them.

One final thought. When they decide to join I will do what I can to help them.

Tell them about ongoing residual income for life. That they can retire on a full time income rather than a small government retirement plan. Hit the highlights of SFI and show them how it can change and improve their lifestyle.

Explain how Pricebenders and TripleClicks can save them time and money. Show them some of the auctions that were won for only pennies on high ticket items. Build value in what you share with prospects so they will want to know more. Don't tell them too much, but enough to raise their curiosity and cause them to want to get involved and take a closer look.

Even though in many cases people are skeptical, they are still curious and want to know more. So don't throw the whole ball of wax at them in the beginning. Tell them enough to cause them to ask questions, keep it interesting and moving. Remember to be positive and happy about what you are doing. Doing this will project the message that SFI is an exciting business and better than a job or brick and morter business.
