Firstly, have you engaged with your team about these negative concerns they have. I think it is crucial to understand what is causing these negative attitudes before you can even begin to address them. Send a team mail message out highlighting the point, be honest about it, and be honest about your willingness and enthusiasm to understand the negatives and how you intend on improving the current situation to bring forth a more positive attitude towards SFI.

Discuss the positive aspects of SFI with them and remind them of why they joined SFI. Make it fun and be enthusiastic, too. People love enthusiasm. Make your aim so much fun that your down line will want to share and engage with you.

Bring some life back into your team. Offer them rewards, incentives,organise fun contests through your leadership page, help those close to reaching their rank by giving them a gift card, praise and recognise them, sometimes a simple well done is all that is needed to lift someone’s spirit or to change a negative attitude into a positive one.

Remember, there is no I in Team, and as leader you will need to inspire a positive attitude, so make sure your message in one of positivity. We all hate being told what is, as opposed to being praised and recognised and offered solutions.

That is really a hard question to answer. And you won't even know where to start unless you start a conversation with them. That is the hardest step.

People who don't like affiliate programmes thinks they are MLM. I don't want to go into the difference between the two because you can actually find it being discussed in the FORUM some time ago.

So it is actually what they THINK that makes them have this negative attitude towards SFI. If you can open up a channel of communication with them you can actually start finding out from them what they think SFI is.

Then when you have found out what they THINK, then you can start explaining what SFI really is. And illustrate the difference. I have said, time and again, that TripleClicks was what made the difference for me when it came to making a decision about SFI. Having many products (instead of only 5 specialised products) makes our customer base much larger. The difference in prices from the cheap to expensive makes our customer base larger. The existence of ECAs from your own country makes our customer base larger.

Everyone is different. So open up a channel of communication and start listening.

Some people look at things like a half-empty or half-full glass. Some look at things with rose-coloured glasses, and some just love using the black sunglasses all the time. So it takes all kinds.

One person with a negative attitude is understandable, but the whole team?

So it could be coming from you, whether you realize it or not!

Check the contents of your weekly messages, Stream Posts, the words you use when communicating in any way with your team.

Are you constantly using the words “No” “Don’t”, etc. , and whilst trying to be helpful you instead put them under stress by insisting they must do this and that, follow this and that.or they will NOT be successful?

If that is the reason, then you can try to change your team's negative perception of SFI starting with you. There are also many ways of praising people that feeds a positive mental attitude.

Next time you send your weekly message, write only positive things, share the success of SFI/TC, the great new programs introduced this year and how the new Signing Bonuses will motivate and inspire action. the new FT Extensions Program, the new Eager Zebra games, the exciting BizQuiz, the many new items at Pricebenders auctions, the increased VP one can earn at the daily tasks, the new Milestone Shares, and much, much more.

My team has a negative attitude about SFI. How can I change it to a positive one?

What I do is: -

1. I try to be as positive as possible in all my communications with my team – in TeamMails, Stream Posts, personal E-Cards, Welcome letters, personal emails, SFI messaging and “Chat” etc, and when answering their questions.

I have over 800 in my team but I can count on my two hands those who respond. So, who knows if what I do is effective.

2. I reply as soon as possible and as fully as I can do any questions I am asked. I prefer email for this. And I write a separate email for each topic. I try to be as clear and simple as possible.

If I am asked a question it is usually just a short email of a few lines. Whereas my response is quite a bit longer – about half a page or more, and sometimes I don’t get a response back to that. And they may not do anything that I suggest either.

3. Recently I have had a few emails from a team member apologizing for not having done anything in SFI for a while. It’s as though I am their employee or something. I always write back telling them that there is nothing to apologize about – it is their business and in life things happen. Just do SFI when and how you are able to.

4. I put a lot of personal stuff in my content too. I write of my own experiences in SFI and also how I overcome the obstacles in my life that try and stop me from doing SFI. I try and show them that I am no different than they are. There is nothing special about me and they can do what I do.

5. I regularly tell them what I have won in SFI, as I did in a Stream Post I sent out today. And I encourage them to “get involved”, that they could be winning these things too. I hope that putting this information constantly before them will eventually get them to respond.

6. I keep up to date with what is happening in SFI, in the news and at the Forum. I am active in the Forum where my posts are always pretty positive. I praise Gery and the team and SFI constantly for what they are doing for us.

7. I have an impressive list of badges on display for my team to view if they ever go to my leadership page or view my profile or perhaps my JMT gateway.

8. I must be doing something right: - I have a lot of likes on the Forum and my movers rate me 100% “5 stars”. And they DO appreciate what I do for them.

At the end of the day it’s how our workers respond that matters. I can’t do anything with someone who doesn’t want to work. I have to wait until they are ready. So, I never give up on them, but I don’t worry about them either.

The final thing I don’t do is offer rewards to get them started. SFI has enough rewards for those who wish to begin with SFI and I fully support all those initiatives. But I don’t offer anything extra.

But, on the other hand, I do reward my workers for their constant efforts.

I also keep thinking of other ways to inspire my team. One way I am trying is by sending out video clips on Youtube. I haven’t had much of a response yet though.

Basically I hope that my positive attitude will “rub off” on them overtime.

Help them understand that only unless they view SFI as something positive, they are only cheating themselves. SFI is what they make of it. Nobody is responsible for their future except them. Even a diamond has imperfections and we can look hard and flind the flaws in anything. This is because we live in an imperfect world and we have flaws ourself. But there is more good than there is bad and so if we focus on the good, we will as a result have good things in our life.

Ask them if they want to have good things or bad things. Then point out that the people who only see the bad, will only have bad in their life. But the people who see the good in life will have good things as a result. It's just that simple and boils down to our own perspective.

Many times we don't have a clue as to what we should be doing, or who we should imitate. This is because we normally conform to our external environment. The positive people become successful because they see the world through a different lens and not only do they focus on the good things, they imitate the people who are successful. A person will not advance if they have a negative attitude, it's just that simple.

We need to choose to embrace life. If we are majoring on minors, then the minors will become so big they will defeat us and appear as obstacles in our path. But when we have a positive attitude, the minors are very small and we can simply hop over them on our way to the gold mine! We need to let go and embrace every moment whether it has an obstacle or an opportunity. We have to stop focusing and fussing over trivial matters and begin focusing on what is really important.

From the experiences I have encountered, it is not so much about negativity; it is more do with the fear of the unknown. Again, a lot of people tend to think marketing and sales is very difficult. They will give you answer like "I do not relate well with strangers" or "I would not know where to start" or "I do not know the first about marketing". You get the drift.

The first thing for you to do is to assure them that everyone can make it in this business but it will depend on attitude. Then add in the guts and confidence to get what they want.

Secondly, you will probably need to cover marketing and sales methods in brainstorming sessions. Cold calling etc.


Lastly, be the best and most accurate communicater. This means studying all material available on SFI so that you have ready answers for your team. Fumbling for answers will not cut it.

Fear is an inhibitor. I say get rid of that variable first before anything else.

There may be many reasons that may have led you to make above statement but when you look for solutions, your attitude would determine the result.

For having a positive and successful turnaround of your situation, you have to remain positive and show it in your performance by leading and setting an example for all.

Set up good communication link with your team members as it is of utmost importance.

Highlight to them the following:

1. Comparative chart of SFI with other related businesses present in the market.

2. The Plan: Help them understand and embrace it.

3. Explain to them the compensation plan and how they would benefit from it in long term.

4. Advantages of setting up your business with ease and low investment within the comforts of their home.

5. SFI has the best training materials present to take help and advance your business to new heights.

6. Maintain a robust leadership page and show them how you attained success in your effort. If you can be successful why can’t they?

7. SFI has you as their sponsor, co-sponsor, Forum, A2A friends and support system to help you understand, implement and grow in your business. Personally be available at all times to help them out.

8. SFI is one of the safest sites and security of your personal details is taken care of. It is in business for 18 Years and parent company has completed 3 decades. This itself assures of good business values and hence is patronized by millions all over the world.

Having made aware of the values and strengths of the company, you can tell them how you can help them develop their business. You can list to them the following:

1. Provide continuous guidance and support to your PSAs.

2. Give them the required training as per the stage they are on. SFI rules of success can be an asset in their growth.

3. Discuss growth strategies and help them implement those with apt training on them to be duplicated by them.

4. Set up a co-op for active and serious members to help them set up a team in their initial phase.

5. You can run a marketing campaign together to share the costs, making it cheaper for them in the initial phase to move on.

All this should prove sufficient for those who have the attitude for winning but are cautious in their approach. Work with your workers and cherish each others success.

Hi,
This is a very good question and a very crucial topic. I wish there was a sort of formula somewhere we all could successfully use. Unfortunately there isn't, therefore the only thing we can do is trying our best.
Clearly most of the people that join SFI believe that by sitting in front of a computer they'll just start earning tons of money. We all know that won't ever happen.
This is what I do with my inactive PSAs and CSAs:
I send them sincere emails on what SFI truly is: a big opportunity that no one would give you for free.
I list all the instruments and means that SFI put at our disposal, again for free, to set up our online business and earn money with it.
I ask them a simple question: what are your expectations? be average or stand out? If you want to stand out, that's your chance: grab it!
I put their attention on the differences between opening up a "regular" (meaning not online) business and SFI focusing on the pros of the latter, underlying the fact that SFI is definitely less risky.
I tell them what I do daily to get my goals and what I have achieved so far.
I send them a link of some websites that talk positively about SFI, websites with testimonials.
In my opinion that's the only path we can take. We cannot oblige anyone to believe in SFI and its potentiality. We can only try to transfer our positivity about it to them.

1. Identify what went wrong that brought that wrong perception. You can't prescribe a drug when you can't diagnose a disease.
2. Show them SFI's cutting success stories and achievements and their track records.
3. Tell them your success stories and your experience and journey so far.
4. Let them know that earning is easy, if they can work hard.
5. Let them know that SFI is not a quick rich program. They have to treat it like a real business.
6. Show them the different ways of earning and how SFI works. May be they got the whole concept wrong.
7. That reminds me, for your team to be doubting, it means what they were informed about, might not be what they got. What do i mean?
I met an affiliate on one of my SFI groups and told me that SFI was a scam. I employed number 1 of what i just told you. I identified the reason for it.
He told me that his sponsor lied to him. So i began to relate with him, what i just told you to do in numbers 2-7, and his mind was changed and began to ask questions which were answered and he is back on his feet again.
Do the same and your team will be positive again.
