WOM or should I say Word of Mouth.
Word of Mouth is a powerful tool of attraction marketing.
For instance, typically when you want a friend to keep a secret what do you ask him/her?
The answer is "Can you keep a secret?". Well, a lot of times this has "backfired", yes? I know you are nodding with me. Why? Because your friend for whatever reason will tell someone else in his/her circle or should I say ask "Can you keep a secret?" and go ahead to spill the beans. Forgive them if it is a forgivable transgression because there is this burning urge to say something forbidden. Aye, the forbidden fruit! Anyway I digress.
Word of Mouth will help you as follows:
1. spread the gospel whether in a negative or positive light; bottom line the word gets out
2. arouses curiosity in the recipients; this means a ripe market for "harvesting"
3. knowledge is power: when recipients receive news they would also like to know more about what you are talking about. They will want you to tell them how successful you are, how viable your business, if the products you are selling/marketing are genuine etc
You can use this tool effectively to spread the gospel of your business, products and services you are selling etc. A lot of people may be reached this way because one friend will tell two and so on. Soon you will more people than you anticipated wanting to know
less
