SFI has great ways to communicate with your team, but am I missing out by not using outside resources too like email, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.?
Acknowledging SFI structure of communication is a sure way that you are not missing out. SFI structure is the primary resources we must maximize in communication with our team. Outside resources are complementary and should remain so.
The PSA, CSA and team Mailer simplify communication with our team members. Using any of them to pass any message is faster and cheaper than other outside resources. All you need to do is compose and send. I don't have to be worrying about clicking individual team member, their individual addresses etc.
Another reason is that outside resources are mostly personal platform for communication. The team spirit is not embedded in outside resources. SFI is a business platform and using existing resources gives your team members a sense of belonging to a vision and mission.
If you are not using outside resources to communicate with your team members, but maximize SFI resources, you are not missing out

The communication resources provided by SFI are in my opinion adequate for corresponding with your team on a regular basis. You have mentioned Email, as one of the outside resources but where possible this is already available at SFI.
However, if you want to facilitate a chat with most members of your team at the same time, then outside resources such as conference calls provided by Skype or Webinar are very useful.
As your relationship with your team members grows, it will be easier for your team members to join your Facebook page.
It is best to utilise resources at your disposal to maximise your means of communication, bearing in mind that each resource serves a specific need. For example, PSA mailer, CSA mailer or Genealogy enables you to send a newsletter or any message to all or a specific group of your team. And E-cards are a great way of sending congratulatory messages to individual team members. On the other hand a conference call achieves what cannot be met by these examples, that is a live chat.

Hi,Crystal!
Very good question and my answer is YES.
It is a great thing that we have SFI chat, and i do communicate through it with some of my Team members. In the beginning most of Affiliates are not aware of possibilities of SFI chat and also a Stream post,it is all new and takes time to understand it.And we all know how important that start is!
Using e-mail,Facebook,WhatsUp..is more known to them and it is easier that way.I usually provide them links ,which they need or links from Forum and ASK SC if i think they should read. They will see it sooner and it is much better for them and for me to reach them.
I have never used WhatsUp,but one of my Team member asked me to join in,because it was easier for him to reach me,so i did.
Use SFI chat and Stream post, but also use all the other ways to communicate with your Team members.
Wish you a lot of success!

I do not use Facebook because there are way too many of you using it as it is.
This is why we cannot post our links there.Facebook wants to be a Social Community.
not a Business Community.
Instead, Google Business Communities.Join them. Most biz communities you can send one
post to the whole membership by paying for their upgrade!
Get a great picture of yourself and use it everywhere you can. This is called branding
yourself.Never change it.You do not have to grow old on the internet.
Instant messenger? I just announce I am on line too and ask if they have any
questions for me.

Yes, you need to use whatever mode of communication your team members respond to--not all respond to Team Mail or e-Cards. I personally love skype because I can talk most immediately with people, whether they're on- or off-line (they can always get my messages when they come back), and I can also talk with them voice-to-voice or even face-to-face when they're on. Remember, your goal is to keep your affiliates, PSA and CSA allike, active and participating. That's what will build your team best.

Hi, I use the following ways, I'll suggest some and hope this helps!
I've created a Group on Facebook and I message my team members through this medium. Email groups can also be useful as you can send out daily tips even if you're on the road and cannot access your SFI messaging feature. WhatsApp messages can also be useful as contact can be made immediately and concerns addressed as they arise. Viber and OOVOO and some of these other Apps can also be useful too. I suggest to tap into these resources and utilize the SFI resources as well to boost team support.

While some new affiliates feel it's a bother when we try to contact them outside of SFI, constant communication with is extremely important. A lot of people today will not read their emails unless they believe there's something important inside their inbox so I send a lot of valuable information to my entire team every day. One of the easiest ways to socialize with your new referrals is through social media platforms like Facebook and What's App. Using these platforms to communicate will build value and friendship hence turning into an active SFI Worker????.
So, to answer your question, yes you are missing out by not using these platforms.

This is a good question. I will suggest you to use your FB (messenger) or Whats App for faster communicate with your team. So it is better for them to know that you are always there for them.
There is also Viber and Skype where you can talk. When you are doing some bigger stuff, it is easier to talk than to type, typing tooks so time.
I think these are all good ways of communication.I personally use Facebook Messenger and email to talk with the team.It has shown very good results for me.I think all these other resources helpful. So I think that everything that can be used in SFI business. Our members is easier to cope with the Facebook than on SFI chat.
Best greeting.
