This indeed is an interesting question, and i must say that each and everyone has been given the opportunity to recruit affiliates one on one.

For recruitment of affiliates to be effective, one must consider:-
1. Level of Education of the new recruit.
2. Age of affiliate.
3. Langauge Barrier.

Face to face is quite different from on-line marketing.
SFI is mostly a home on-line marketing platform so staying home with a computer connected to the internet and communicating, advertising on-line, with people who are also on-line connected.

But coming back to face to face which is so opposite compared with on-line marketing I think you need to develop the following skills:

Prospecting affiliates face to face for SFI requires excellent communication skill. You must be able to present the program as accurately as you can. Remember that your prospects will listen to you only and if there is something to benefit from your presentation So, avoid to talk about yourself but rather the benefits that the prospects may enjoy.

Interesting question you have here!

I would say that you need to be talkative and extrovert, and above all, you need to know what you are talking about! You need to take care about your facial expressions.

Preparation, preparation and more preparation!

Preparation is key to effective recruitment. As the late Ji. Rohm has been quoted do say, "failing to plan/prepare is planning/preparing for failure".

Everyone can be his or her best when preparation is done. As stated in many business books, the 80/20 rule applies to even recruitment.

I heard something the other day that I think applies to this question, "Believe what you are saying! How can you convince anyone to believe what you are saying if you don't believe it yourself?" To be effective recruiting one on one, always be prepared.
I have cards with me everywhere I go.

I like to use the $12 gift cards at gas stations and outside gambling
places.I approach them after they have looked at their lottery tickets.

My cards have an my picture and email on them.I say if you are interested,

Recruiting affiliates face to face and one on one should only form a small part of your sponsoring campaign.

For a start, depending on your personality, you need to be the type of person who is comfortable with talking business face to face, has the charisma of a successful car salesman, and can take No for an answer with grace and dignity.

The foremost effective tool to be effective is knowing your subject matter very well and that's SFI.
Another thing you'll need is confidence and excitement because that is contagious.
