How do you get your affiliates to respond to you when you send them messages?

This is one question for which I would love to have an answer. The truth is that there just aren't any magic words that will make everyone respond. It is similar to purchasing a garment that says one size fits all but you find that it doesn't fit all and the ones it does fit, it doesn't fit well.
That said, there are certain guidelines that you can follow when sending messages to your affiliates.
1. Always be polite. There is no excuse for being rude.
2. Keep it short and simple. State plainly why you are sending the message. This may seem like an unnecessary reminder but I have received messages that I read several times and still could not figure out what the person was trying to convey.
3. Remember that you are not their boss. You may give advice but it is up to each affiliate to make his/her own decisions.
4. Make sure that you set a good example and respond to your messages promptly!

What are you doing today (to develop your SFI business) that will matter tomorrow?

I believe that everything that I am doing today to develop my SFI business will matter tomorrow! I am learning each day - both from my successes and from my failures. I tell
my team to learn from their mistakes so that they won't repeat them and to use the mistakes as stepping stones to succeed instead of letting the mistakes be a boulder that drags them down.
In building you have to have a firm foundation. SFI provides their affiliates with a firm foundation by providing the information and tools needed to build a successful business.
We build on that foundation and if we are serious about achieving our goals, we work every day. You will never succeed if you approach your business with a half-hearted attitude.
There are no shortcuts or a magic formula that will provide you with instant succ

What are some good tips for leading and managing my SFI team--besides sending weekly newsletters?
Jenny Bolin, Aff (South carolina, US)

Affiliate since: 03/17/2012, Power Rank: 99999999
The first tip for leading and managing your team is to set the example that you want your team to follow. Don't expect your team to do something that you haven't done. Actions DO speak louder than words. One glance at your badges will tell your team almost everything that they need to know. They will see your accomplishments and they will see how serious you are about being an affiliate.
The second tip for leading your team is to always be honest with them. Broken trust is hard to repair.
Good communication is a necessity. Send ecards to recognize their achievements, their birthdays, their wins, etc. and if you think that they need advice or that they are making a mistake, make sure you communicate this in private, not in your newsletter. No one likes to be criticized in public! Be positive and offer encouragement. If you offer criticism, explain the criticism clearly. If you offer advice, don't be offended if they choose not to follow it.
Always remember that you are equals. You are their team leader, not their boss. You may offer advice and suggestions, but the final decision is theirs.
Be a good listener! Pay attention to what they say. Never interrupt them because that sends a message that what they have to say isn't important.
Be courteous. If you receive a request for help, respond promptly. My mother taught me that please and thank you are the most important words that you use. Treat your team with respect and kindness.
Be willing to learn from your team. Sometimes a teacher can learn from a pupil. Be open to their suggestions.

How can I refer TripleClicks members using the Friend Challenge link in Eager Zebra games?

Thank you for your question, "How can I refer TripleClicks members using the Friend Challenge in Eager Zebra games?" I think that the Friend Challenge is a great way to introduce new members to Tripleclicks! I come from a family of gaming enthusiasts who love to win, who love to try new games, and who rarely turn down a challenge so the Friend Challenge is a way to introduce them to TripleClicks. Once they see all that TripleClicks has to offer and they join, they will begin to challenge their friends, who in return will accept the challenge. This is a win/win situation.

How can I become a good team leader in SFI if I have low self-esteem and lack experience?
Jenny Bolin, Aff (South carolina, US)

Affiliate since: 03/17/2012, Power Rank: 99999999
Thank you for this question because it is one that most people wrestle with, me included. The lack of experience is the easier of the two to answer because SFI provides us with the tools and information that we need to become a good team leader. They even provide templates of the letters that we need to send to our team. All we have to do is to utilize the tools and learn the information. As we learn and grow, we will gain experience and the experience that we gain will lead to confidence in ourselves. That confidence will begin to build our self-esteem. The more that we accomplish, the more our self-esteem grows.
A good team leader knows that his/her team will not have confidence in their leader if the leader does not have confidence in himself/herself. If you are unsure of your ability to lead, the team will pick up on that. You cannot fake self-confidence. You can begin to gain self-confidence when you begin to realize that you can achieve success. Proof of this success are the badges on your page. You earned each badge through hard work and determination so be proud of them and be proud of yourself!

I believe that there are many good Tripleclicks products that can be promoted for Easter! To name a few.

How will the changes announced on January 1st make your business grow in 2016?

Thank you for your question because it is one that I have been giving serious thought. I think that the new changes are great for SFI and for its affiliates. I have never been fond of change but SFI is changing my mind! (Pun intended)
I absolutely love the Designated Diamond program. I have a great sponsor who is always willing to help his team so I am already a Designated Diamond. This gives me even more incentive to work hard and see results.
The Milestone program acts as a balance to the new team leader requirements. It ensures that you won't neglect your To-Do list and earning vp. Both of these are important because they help you to achieve different goals.
The change in the way that you can collect vp is fantastic. It makes gathering vp for the month a lot easier. There have been times that I have struggled to make the action vp so this is a big boost.
I am learning a lot from the new Biz Quiz even though there a still a few bugs. It is making do research and reading which I think is the purpose. I thought that I knew a lot about SFI and TripleClicks until I started answering the questions.
I think that with all the new programs and opportunities, SFI is off to an awesome year and I am even prouder to be an affiliate.

How do I motivate my affiliates who are discouraged by the world economy's impact on the costs of products at TripleClicks?

Thank you for your question, "How do I motivate affiliates who are discouraged by the world economy's impact on the costs of products at Tripleclicks?"
I believe that the best way to motivate these affiliates is to encourage them to support "our store", Tripleclicks, by making their necessary purchases through a local ECA. This is a win/ win situation because they are increasing earnings at Tripleclicks and supporting the local economy.
What some ways to involve your family members with your SFI business (not as affiliates but as partners)?

Thank you for asking this question because it is one that I have been pondering for awhile. I joined SFI because of the advice of my father who is also my sponsor. I have learned a lot since I joined in 2012 but neither my father nor I have yet been to convince more family members to join SFI.
My husband and I share our bank account so he sees the expenses that come out of our account and the money that is deposited into it. He also sees the work that I do and he has become more interested as the money increased. He has owned his own business since we married 42 years ago so he is experienced and able to offer valuable advice when I need it.
I am slowly gaining interest from some family members as I discuss the games and the auctions with them. I also share the milestones that I reach such as my my top author votes and the fact that several times I have made it into the top 10 with my answers. I show them my badges and explain the reasons why they are awarded. I realized that they will only take my SFI business seriously if I take it seriously and I do. It is not a hobby or just something to fill my time. It is an important part of my life.

How much time should I allow before I should expect to be producing income from SFI?
Jenny Bolin, Aff (South carolina, US)

Affiliate since: 03/17/2012, Power Rank: 99999999
Thank you for your question. I wasn't going to answer this question at first because I really wasn't sure of the answer. The answer would be affected by a lot of variables such as the time and effort that you are willing to put into your business and especially by the amount of money that you are willing to invest in your business.
I joined SFI in 2012 and I really didn't have much money to invest. I know that you can succeed in SFI without investing a lot of money but it takes a lot of hard work. I have produced income but I am taking the money that I make and reinvesting it in my business and slowly my efforts are paying off!
I do have an advantage on knowing what to expect because my husband and I have owned our own business since we married. I know that the first years are the hardest because you have to build your business. Our business involved physical labor and because of our age and the downturn of new construction due to the economy, we were looking for a new source of income and we were introduced to SFI. My only regret is that we didn't know about SFI sooner!
