The process of having ones affiliates buy/purchase products from our Tripleclicks store is quite challenging but easier if we could gradually build the necessary factors for them to shop from the store.
Just like when other online shoppers make a purchase online, chances are they have taken time to research, compare prices and read reviews about the products.
These are several factors that seriously demotivate affiliates to follow through with their online purchases.
- The hassle of returning products
- Not knowing what the product looks like in real life
- Having to pay for shipping
- Having to wait for a product to arrive once they have bought it
But then check out how you could encourage your affiliates to buy from your store.
1. Build Trust
Trust has to be in place for a sale to be made.
Trust that you will get what you pay for, trust that the product you receive will look the same way it does online, and trust that you aren’t giving your credit card details over to crooks!
The decision for an affiliate to buy on an E-commerce store is really based on trust.
People rely on their past experiences to make future purchasing decisions and you need to make sure your E-commerce store looks credible, reliable and most importantly, safe. So therefore,
- You should provide your affiliates with a return policy that they will love!
- It is also important to have a returns page with “Frequently Asked Questions” regarding the return policy.
Remember, your return policy is there for one reason, and one reason only, to increase sales. Do not make it difficult for your customers especially your affiliates because they are your direct/front line marketers.
- Motivate them to make a purchase by providing them with a long return window and free shipping on all returns. You will be surprised the difference it can make for your online sales!
- Show positive reviews on your E-commerce/Tripleclicks store from previous happy customers.
2. Offering Rewards
In order for you to successfully motivate your affiliates to make a purchase, you need to offer rewards that your customers will actually want.
It is important to remember that all rewards should be easily redeemable. Ever thought about offering your loyal affiliates free delivery? Or even free delivery on all customers’ first purchase?
This small reward might be all you need to motivate them to make that purchase.
These intangible rewards can be converted into free delivery, or discounts or PSAs, Co-op Shares, Tcredits, Gift Certificates, or bonuses which will demonstrate appreciation to those loyal affiliates that shops at your store.
3. Communicate
No matter how effective and efficient your products are, you need to communicate with affiliates.
Ensure you have them updates with you new development if any at the store. This cost you noting as you will use your PSA - CSA mailer, ECA mail, Leadership Page and etc
It is through your communication that most of your affiliate will decide weather you are trustworthy, and will deliver no matter what.
You could encourage them to make Standing Order in order to receive much rewards that you will communicate to them.
