The network marketing business revolves around building relationships. In SFI we’re in the business of expanding our network through the duplication process. How well your Sponsor performed his/her responsibilities in your organization every month could be subjective to each member of the organization. Is there an unbiased and appropriate criterion in evaluating your Sponsor?
I used the following points in evaluating my Sponsor/Co-Sponsor in his/her performance of his/her leadership roles:
Communicates Openly and Listens
- Presents his/her ideas effectively gauging the needs of his/her team members; actively listens and incorporates input from others in his/her whole organization.
- Listens attentively and with empathy to concerns expressed by others in his/her whole organization.
Influences and Inspires His/her Team Members
- Promotes his/her ideas and proposals in creating a climate that fosters personal investment and nurtures commitment to a common vision and shared values in his/her whole organization; inspires action that promotes the development and growth of each member of his/her organization.
- Generates energy and enthusiasm in his/her team members by appealing to their personal values and goals.
- Establishes credibility by demonstrating broad knowledge, good judgment, and deep expertise as a result of his/her experience and the level of commitment in running his/her SFI business.
- Positions his/her ideas and proposals to address the needs, interests, and concerns of his/her team members.
Builds Relationships and Fosters Team Collaboration
- Cultivates an active network of relationships inside and outside his/her organization; fosters collaboration and teamwork by being inclusive, supportive and cooperative.
- Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across his/her organization and connects members in his/her organization to form productive alliances in growing their SFI business.
- He/she is accessible and invests the time necessary to build relationships among his/her team members.
- Cultivates networks in order to strengthen expertise and build professional reputation in his/her organization.
- Creates a culture that values, supports, and reflects diversity in his/her organization.
- In addition he/she should provide insightful, motivating, and constructive feedback, coaching, and guidance in his/her organization.
- In his/her personal leadership, he/she should establish trust in his/her organization.
- He/she considers and responds appropriately to the needs and feelings of his/her team members; understands impact of his/her own behavior; has a realistic understanding of own strengths and development needs; is committed to continuous learning.
