Yes and here's why: I have Affiliates who speak two languages with the non English being the one they are more familiar with and they may tend to use both languages in a paragraph but I look up translation computer programs when neede. Everyone needs help and everyone can help and deserves our patience and kindness and understanding. Having an attitude of generosity can go a long way. You may be surprised that people with little computer understanding are possibly more willing to learn what they need to know than someone who won't listen because he thinks he knows enough because he or she has so much experience in sales or computer programs or other skills. In addition, people who don't speak much English can talk to others who speak their main language and show them how SFI can help them.

If the ability to speak English was a criteria for becoming an Affiliate at SFI the I in the corporation's name would have to be replaced. Smile! On a more serious note, the English language nor internet experience should pose any serious threat to sponsoring affiliates that have limitations in either area. Use of the internet is more self taught than any other computer based skill that persons are required to develop. The more you use it the better you become. So it is with the English language. I might be wrong in my assumption, but I observe that non-English speaking persons pick up the English Language more easily and quickly than is done when the role is reversed. So go ahead and welcome both groups of individual, whether with one or both challenge and watch them grow. Rather, help the grow.

In short - You bet it is.

We have translate tools to use. TIP - try to keep it short and sweet - the longer and complicated your sentence is the better your chances of getting a very weird translation.

You can also identify a person in your team that is more proficient in a language and re-assign others to him or her that speaks the same language.

In a case like that you have to be a little more patient. Not proficient in English does not make them stupid, not being a computer wiz does not make them stupid either. They do not need to be an IT guru to do well with SFI.

They can learn the computer skills as they go and their knowledge of English will also improve when they use it every day. I grew up in a small very Afrikaans community. The English we were taught in school was all academic and we did not use the language often outside of school. After school I went to study in the biggest city in South Africa and I was exposed to English more and my English improved and when I started working it was English only - I learned quickly - how? Using it everyday helped but no as much as music - I learned to speak English by learning the words of my favourite songs (fortunately it was not rap or some of the songs we hear today.)

As for computer skills - I got my 1st computer when I was 32 years old.

Never write somebody off because they can't speak English or because they are not computer geniuses. Give them a chance.

Yes it is worthwhile. When advertising, you never know who will make it and who will not. Your work is to advertise to as many people as possible. English and computer/internet experience are not limitations that can't be worked. If somebody puts the love of something in the heart, a determination springs up from within which can make him/her break the wall with his/her bare fists. Put the right information about SFI out there and see the power of people from all walks of life determined to change their lifestyles.
With the above said, go out and advertise and don't put these minute limitations on your way to acquiring the most productive people to work with.

I would say without mincing words that it is worthwhile to sponsor affiliates, who speak little English or have limited computer/internet experience for the following reasons,

1. SFI has already assumed a global phenomenon with affiliates spread across the globe cutting across territorial, linguistic, cultural diversity. The business model is so structured that one can carry on the business with or without a thorough grasp of the English language, as all you have to do is to go to the foot of every web page of SFI and choose you desired language or alternatively use Google translate to communicate with your affiliates.

2. When you sponsor affiliates that speak other languages other than the English Language, you can reassign them to your downline members who speak the same language with your just recruited affiliates using the SFI reassignment tool. This is a win win situation as you may earn reassignment and matching VP if they are active and attain EA2 / team Leader status.

3. Limited computer/internet experience is not a strong enough reason for fail in SFI. These are skills that can be learned even while you are on you first/second months training period in SFI. The more time you spend on your computer system the more you become proficient in it.

In closing , I want to let you know that some highly successful SFI affiliates had similar challenges when they started out but these did not deter them and so will you also be like them, just be persistent and determined

For sure is it worthwhile. Otherwise is kind of discrimination. English and internet experience are skills, which can be learned with the support of Sponsor or Co-Sponsor. I had a friend in my team, who didn't know how to make blog for example. Step by step he learned everything regarding internet. So, language it's not a barrier. On the site there is a translator. On Google is translator too. People, who don't know English or are with limited internet experience often are great communicators or do serious face-to-face business. If they aren't they can learn, but only if they want. So, Sponsor's and Co-sponsor's job is to teach everything they know to the team. It's like rising a baby or a flower if you prefer. But once again, this happens only if someone is sure SFI can benefit him toward his/her dream and wants to work toward achievement. And one more thing - SFI is Global. 1. There are no barriers to succeed in SFI. SFI is an international business.
2. We've the translator option in our sites.
3. We can ask them to get help from their own family or friends, so that they in turn will also learn SFI business.
4. Slowly they can learn to get help from a2a friends, forum friends.
5. SFI is not only a business platform, we live here in a family. So live and lovely. SFI family will embrace that child who is struggling and make a way for everyone.
6. Language issue will be solved by using our site translator while they are at SFI or TripleClicks sites.

That's a good question. It can be a little intimidating sponsoring affiliates who don't speak English. I have found though, that while it can make things a little more difficult, you can have just as much success as if you only sponsored those that speak English well. My personal experience is that my most active PSA speaks very little English. I have been able to answer his questions by using translate services of the search engines and encouraging him to do the same. Sometimes it may take a couple tries to get the correct understanding, but he has figured out how to build the business his way and at times I have learned from him as well. Be willing to take time to work with anyone who is enthusiastic and y will be rewarded.

Is it worthwhile to whom? I think of the story about an old and a young man on a beach. The old man bends over, picks up a starfish and Frisbees it into the water and then walks to the next starfish and does it again. After awhile the young man has to ask, "Do you think what you're doing matters?"

The old man replies solemnly as he again casts a starfish into the sea, "It does for that one."

Sure, when we get into SFI we want to make money fast. But there is a bigger picture here, too. There are many people in the world who are desperate for the opportunity that SFI gives. Their whole lives, and that of their families, too, could drastically change if they were given that option.

Whether they don't speak English, use their computer for more than email and socializing, have a lot of money, know a lot of people who respect them, etc., there are some who if given the choice would join SFI and actually become successful at it.

Sure we want the easy ones who jump right in, have the money to buy products and advertising, are respected in their communities, speak English and other languages, know lots about their computer, and have charismatic personalities, and grasp the training on the first read. But they are few and far between and don't always work out either.

So as it takes no more effort to recruit them than the "good" ones, go ahead and through some ads to them. Make it worthwhile for both you and those others. They are no less worthwhile than those who speak English. Each group will require different type of leadership focus, but it is worthwhile in recruiting both.

We are always looking for quality team members. Non-English speakers do not have as many opportunities as English speakers. I believe when this group responds to an ad they are already more motivated than native English speakers.

The SFI program is already setup to help this group to thrive. Many of the pages have already been translated by SFI.

This is also an opportunity for you to learn about other cultures. I am an American who has lived in Asia for the last 25 years. I have learned a lot from engaging other cultures.

The only word of caution is it is very easy to miss communicate. But, with a little patient’s, you can succeed. On important points ask a question about what you just explained to make sure they understand. Also learn to use simple terms, they translate better.
