Both are OK in my opinion, but let's try to compare it.
About blog:
Pluses
- it's mostly free (a big plus for some persons)
- no special experience needed
- gathers attention of people from SFI (when you give them link) and out of SFI (if blog is visible to search engines)
- not hard to maintain (technically)
- the results (PSAs) are all yours (if you make several registrations through blog, the are all yours)
- unlimited lasting (until you delete it or until something happens to the company where you blog is)
Minuses:
- there are literally millions of them, all over internet (you have to be really special to draw more then average attention)
- has to be updated (from time to time;once a week minimum) if you want quality blog
Plus/minus:
- you mostly work alone (for some it's a plus, for others it's minus)
About co-op:
Pluses:
- greater/wider advertisement then blog itself, which results better "score" (quality,if not quantity)
- building team work (makes stronger connections within the team)
Minuses:
- not free (limited participation, because of money issue)
- you'll need some education,how to make co-op
- the results (PSAs) are not all your (you share it with others)
- limited lasting (time is specified how long co-op will last)
Even besides minuses of co-op,I think it gives better results then blog. It's not cheap/free (for some it's a barrier),but the results would be more quality.Because, when you all gather together (your team) and everyone gives a little, together you'll have BIG - bigger amount of money to put into advertisement, which results more advantageous conditions.
