It is not just a case of encouraging or discouraging your PSA's to become a team leader. You need to give them a full explanation of your reasons for the advice you are giving.

You should be explaining to them that they would not be getting any of the team leader benefits, (apart from 2nd home CSA's,) if they haven't got a team to lead. Of course if they are extremely lucky they could pick up a couple of EA2's in their 2nd home CSA's but that is rather a gamble.

They would be far better off spending the money they will need to spend to upgrade, on some paid advertising so they could build their team up. Once they have a team to lead then I will encourage them to become team leaders.

Personally if you can afford $36.25 a month for an SO, BTL is easier to attain than EA2.
It is not that hard to get 1000 Action VP if you have 1500 Sales VP already. The 1500 VP Standing Order is 100 Action VP. Doing the daily actions on your To-Do list is 360 and playing 6-7 games of Gold Streak every day is another 200. Your weekly and monthly actions are another 167 VP. You could play Knockout Trivia every day for another 30 points. With the MRP earned from GoldStreak and Trivia you can buy more T Credits and use them on PriceBemder Auctions until you reach 1000 Action VP and BTL.

Among other things BTL's receive 40 - 70 CSA's every month and these can be a big bonus.

Yes encouraging them to team leadership is a WIN for you but a bigger WIN for your PSA's.

As per the compensation plan of SFI, our earnings depend on VPs along with the leadership level at which you are currently in. When PSA becomes EA, it has to recognized promptly in order to encourage and motivate to go higher right away.

As PSA progresses to EA2 then becoming BTL is the next step forward. This needs investment , knowledge of other programs in SFI and ways by which to get the necessary Action VPs and sales VPs to go higher levels. Therefore encouraging them in every way possible to become team leaders will build a good team and therefore everyone will get benefited in the long run.

If PSAs are discouraged then the whole idea of team building fails. It is for them to go through and see possibilities of becoming leaders with their investment and knowledge capacities.

Most of the answers to your question that have been posted here have touched on the idea that you need a team before you can be a team leader. SFI is a team building program. Each EA2 you develop is worth 100VP each month. When you have several EA2's on your team, becoming and maintaining "Team Leader" is much easier for you.

I would rather encourage my team members to maintain their EA2 rank and encourage their PSAs to do the same. Teach your people Duplication rather than encouraging them to become Team Leaders. As their team grows they will move up to Team leaders.

I would not encourage or discourage PSAs to become Team Leaders, but rather encourage consistent activity on a daily basis, learning how to train your people to achieve more and make more money, and allow your team to move at a pace comfortable for them.

In my opinion,
First of all, we should not discourage any person we are readily and willingly working in SFI. They may wish to become Team leader like BTL, STL, GTL, PTL anyhow, but we need to explain them the real fact. Its our responsibility as a Team Leader.

Our work here is to always encourage them in all their proceeding. But, one thing we have to keep in mind. "Moving very fast is always danger". Insist this concept to your down line members. "Slow and Steady - Always win the race".

Many affiliates including me (in the beginning) really get excited of the tasks, games, auctions and bonuses from SFI and the instant dispose of VPs. So, they gear up and aim for high and move very fast. But, at some point when their brake failure, they broke their nose and goes off the game. So, let them first realize that, this is a real business and over night success is impossible.

Insist each new affiliates (down line) to become EA in the first month and EA2 in the second month and with little investment let them make the EA2 again in the 3rd month. If they have made some PSAs under them within this 3 months and if their PSAs are active like them and some to EA2 status, then you can advice them to move to BTL status in the 3rd or even in 4th month.

Explain them, BTL status also brings some responsibility for them to maintain their team and it also earns them many perks and benefits too. To improve their business they must be ready to invest to atleast $20 each month or mainain their standing order after until their team is strong and yield them 100,150,200,250,…vps for their EA2, BTL,STL,….

If they were ready to all these concept, then encourage them to move to BTL status and win the badge, perks and commissions. As a token of appreciation, issue them some rewards like PSA reassign, Gift certificates, Tcredits and so on…

Hello friend,

This is a very complicated question for many but for the experienced ones, it would be relatively an easier one to answer.

As far as I am concerned, I always encourage my PSAs to retain their status as EA (Executive Affiliate) in the system to earn a commission each other and other perks till they are in a position to create their own Team to become a Team Leader.

I do believe in the simple logic that a Leader will survive for long only if he/she has got a successful and active team under them otherwise, there is no point in reaching the status of Team Leader status just to boast for.

Nevertheless, I will explain all the benefits of being of a Team Leader to my PSAs in advance so that they can plan their strategies accordingly to reach that coveted status through proper planning and ideas.

In this system, it is very important to enroll more and more PSAs under one’s belt and make them active and successful to work for them and earn the income and also the duplication.

Hence, at the outset, I will not encourage my new PSAs to go for the status of Team Leader unless they are ready to reach that destination confidently with proper planning.

I do believe, no leader can survive for long without the support of an active and successful team.

I believe you should encourage affiliates that want to become team leaders. Some might believe that the emphasis is having a team but I put the emphasis on Leader. If an affiliate wants to be in front, showing how to lead I support that one hundred percent. I have been a Bronze Team leader since the second month in SFI.

I see a leader as someone out in front, not the bourse carriage driver snapping the whip on a team of horses taking me to my destination. When an affiliate chooses to be a leader, they have made a commitment to be the best Executive Affiliate, Assume Sponsor, engaged in as many activities as they can, investing time and resources in building their business and present at TripleClicks as well as completing their daily tasks. Consequently, becoming a Bronze Team leader is unavoidable if your Doing the daily, weekly and monthly actions and not just clicking on the tabs and hoping someone else will make the investments.

Be a team leader and encourage your team to follow in your footsteps.

I don't think you should do neither.why? This is because, encouraging them is bringing your labour over into fruitlessness, the reason is because encouraging them to become team leaders overnight without a team is like being a father without a child to call your own. They won't last in that position because they won't get the result they are looking for, which is the money attached to their matching VP, so they opt out in the end which won't be good for you if they had been active.
To discourage them is to demotivate them. They will think you don't want them to succeed and to make it in SFI.
So, what do you do? explain to them the benefits and the cost of being a leader without yet a team.
One of my team members wanted to do this when i sent an email to my team on how to maintain EA status without buying anything. he was excited and he was about to go into it. i told him the pros and cons of it then he slowed down and asked me, how do i build a team? it was then, he began to recruit people just when he signed up. i was happy for him, because now he knew what it takes to be a good leader in the future.

I think this is good question and more or less all sponsor or co-sponsor gets this question from their members. In anxiety, member wants to become Team Leader and also sponsor/co-sponsor also ask to go ahead in anxiety. Some times it is wrong to advise to become Team Leader if member do not have sufficient team to justify himself. It is important to look at the pros & cons of becoming Team Leader before we take final decision. In my opinion, if member have sufficient hard working team members (particularly EA2s) who are helping them to generate more VPs then it is worth to become Team Leader. If they have five active PSAs and if they. support them to become EA2 or BTL ...then they get 100, 150..... VPs . It helps to achieve action points. Tell them that to become BTL, they need 2000 ( max.) purchase or sale points and 1000 action points. If they can do it with proper investment / profit ratio then it is worth and they should. Otherwise, do not go for Team Leader. It is important to look at the interest of our team member also and we should guide them properly so that they will also make some money. I always feel that I can grow only if my team grows. My will grow if we guide them properly. This is win win situation and helps in any business. Think of long term and also think of team interest. This will pay you a lot in long term. Do not think that you are discouraging members from becoming Team Leaders but guiding them for their betterment.
