Hi , from my point of view...

I would get that person to trust me, and explain them all about this program , with no lies, and no hidden plans.

Also, be sure that you make eye contact when speaking to that person, cause that brings thrust and will probably agree with you.

Be sure of yourself, and stay calm, cause if you get nervous, people may start asking questions or get in doubt.

Be prepared to do anything that might change their oppinion, if they are cooperating, do not lie to them to get them by your side.
