Remember, almost every person starts out the business a bit overwhelmed with information, and they progress over time to a much greater understanding of the business and how it works. Your answer may well depend on where you figure they are in that process. Try to give them an answer they can use.
You want to leave the questioner with the feeling that their question has been answered, and that this business is straight forward and logical, thus that is the way your answer should be. If you do that, your answer should garner as many votes as possible.
