Dear Leslie,
Honestly, I can only tell you what not to do, as my affiliates are not engaged in discussing SFI with me. :D
* I send emails regularly. They are personalized, they congratulate on the achievements, offer help (to reach EA, e.g.) and announce competitions.
The only ones who stay in touch are PSAs in my generation 1, as I know them personally and we meet outside SFI.
I've even tried contacting some of my affiliates when I see they are online, but they hardly ever respond. It makes sense. When we advertise SFI, we keep saying that it doesn't take much time, so they log in to do the list, not to chat with me. :)
All in all, I've noticed that people who are determined to succeed WILL CONTACT YOU when they have a problem. Others will just quit.
So, I think we should try to show the way and tell them we are available in our weekly mails, and they will contact us when they feel ready. Besides, we are all here to make money, not friends. As sponsors, we are probably seen as somebody who will help affiliates make money. And if we do that, they might want us for 'workplace friends', too. And that's where engagement and conversations start.
Good luck!
