This is not a difficult business to understand. What makes it difficult for most who join SFI, is his or her's unwillingness to stick to the concept of "slow and easy" and, thus, making it more difficult than it has to be.
The hours you spend each week will depend on how devoted you are in creating a business for yourself that will last for as long as you desire it to.
