Here is my answer to your question. It may not be what you want, but this is my opinion.

First, I believe there is no one best way of encouraging your inactive affiliates. Creativity may be the key here.

So many affiliates just join and then don't even bother to confirm their Email address, or if they do confirm, that's as far as they go. I do believe that sending a welcome message may help, but many times I do not get a response. Other affiliates start out but get discouraged when they don't get paid right away. Encourage affiliates by helping them understand that this business, like any other business, is not a "get rich scheme" and that success does not come overnight. It takes work, hard work, to build any business. It takes investment of time and resources. It takes imagination as well.

Encourage affiliates by telling them that you are there every step of the way if they need help and that their upline and others in A2A and the Forum are here to help as well. Support is also available.

It may also be good to offer a gift certificate or TCredits or some other item to help them get started. Check the affiliate's profile (if available) and see if sponsoring affiliates is something he/she feels able to do at this point. If so, place the affiliate in a co-op (if you have created one).

These are things I try to do. Sometimes it helps. Other times it doesn't. Whatever you do, don't give up on them, but keep moving and communicating with all your affiliates and help those who really want to work and are willing to receive help. Keep sponsoring affiliates and referring customers so you don't burn out. If you do these things, you will go far with your business, no matter what curve ball is thrown your way.

It has been my experience that those affiliates who really have been working with me appreciate all the encouragement I do give them. For example, one of them really needed some TCredits and asked me for them. He became an EA shortly after receiving them. In other cases, however, despite offering inactive affiliates TCredits or co-op shares or gift certificates, those affiliates, as of now, have not responded. However, unless they ask me how they can stop receiving my messages (and some have done so), I will continue to send my weekly messages to them.

Dormant affiliates! Yes don’t we all have them? At least they are just dormant and did not yet opt-out.

Obviously each one of our dormant team members will have different reason why they are not active. But first we must differentiate between levels of in-activity.

I am sure you have also experienced the sign-up that did absolutely nothing from their join date and still just sits at zero VersaPoints. The reasons why they joined are questionable. Do you need to spend valuable time to keep on trying to get some action into them? Very much debatable. But you will loose nothing by including them in your regular Newsletter through the PSA and CSA Mailer. On the contrary, there will always be the possibility that one of them might see the light, the SFI light! Remember that they did not yet decide to opt-out.

Then we have affiliates that do go through the start-up actions and do start eager and collecting VP’s where they can. But slowly they start to log in less regularly and eventually completely dies down. This is where your awesomeness as a Sponsor is needed. These are the affiliates that need serious motivation, guidance and a little bit of magic, which each one of us should acquire to be an awesome Sponsor.

And the saddest of all is the affiliate that became EA and maybe Team Leader and is with you already for a long period and then suddenly something happens which makes them to become inactive. These are the team members with which you should already have established a personal and trust relationship with over time.

So how to encourage?

I believe you can not encourage if you do not know the reasons for inactivity. So engage with the dormant affiliates and ask the question: why? Some might confide in you and that will open a door for you to help this person. Whatever their reason, you should try to come up with a solution, or if not a solution to their problems, then a way for them to still stay with SFI despite their problems.

Some will not confide in you and you will never know their reasons. There might be zero communication from their side. Does this mean that they are totally lost to you? No, remember, not opt-out yet.

Bottom line is, from day one start building a trust relationship with your down line. Send regular Newsletters and other messages. The aim of all your communication with your down line should be to help and to support and to teach and to guide them to succeed with their own SFI businesses. They should clearly be aware that that is what you want to do with your communications to them, not just to earn your weekly VersaPoints. This will build trust. And when difficult times comes, your down line might easier confide in you about their problems.

And finally, I am sure that an affiliate who does not log in regularly and eventually becomes dormant, might also not do more reading, self-training and exploring the SFI Affiliate Center, meaning the benefits of SFI might not be very clear to them.

This is where your Newsletter and communication (PSA and CSA Mailer) becomes very important. You should set up your Newsletter to be an active reminder and recourse about the SFI benefits and it should be a training tool about building and growing a SFI business. So if the dormant affiliate is not bothering to log in to our Affiliate Center, he/she will still constantly be getting your SFI-content rich Newsletter in their personal e-mail in-boxes.

At the end of the day we should ask ourselves: Did we do everything possible in our power to present the SFI opportunity in such a way to convince our dormant down line members to get back on our SFI bus?

Send them a personalised email (with their name at the top).
This shows them that they have NOT been ignored or forgotten, as this is one of the reasons that they may have become inactive.

Then remind them of all the possible advantages of their staying active.
This will certainly re-activate a number of them at least.

This also helps you to build better connections within SFI, which is beneficial to you over the longer term.

If you are the sponsor, sometimes it is better for the co-sponsor to follow up as different people communicate differently, and sometimes people understand things differently even if what is being said is essentially the same.

You can also make contact with your up-line and find out what they suggest.

It will also help if you know what motivates this dormant affiliate, as the less you know, the less you will be able to motivate him/her. The best way to know is to ask the person, so if you ever get the chance to ask them - please do!

The best strategy is probably one he does not know about or forgot, something he/she would be willing to do - if only they knew about it - so it is our duty to enlighten them.

2-Only To-Do-List will not give them visible commission, along with this suggest to promote Trippleclicks affiliate links to promote in Google+, Pinterest, Twiter, Face book etc.
3-Ask them to study 1-2 Launch pad lesson on daily basis not more that. Tell them other promotional resources (free/Paid) like Trafficswarm.com/coastalhits.com,easyhits4u.com etc.
4-Being up line of an affiliate you have to very much active as it gives motivations to your down line, Try to collect Badges, versal points(VP)
Obliviously you can't force people to work this business so motivation is a way you can make them active.

I joined SFI in April 2013. Or should I say I re-joined.
I joined the first time back in 2006 and I was overwhelmed, I felt lost and noone was contacting me. I decided to just give up.
While surfing I came across SFI again and decided that I was going to get back on board and do whatever it takes to stay active this time around.

So to try and answer your question,
I think that sending messages that offer help and direction are the best way to try and encourage someone to become active again.
If they do become active then it worked.
If they do not then at least you know you tried to help them.
We can continue to try until they opt out, so do not ever give up on someone unless they say they are done and they opt out.

I always mention that the only way to fail is to do nothing. I tell them that I am not going to fail and I will continue on and help whoever I can. I make sure that they know that they are more than welcome to contact me with any questions that they may have and that I will help them find an answer if I do not know the answer to thier question.
By informing them that we are all in this together it makes them feel like part of a big thing.


Send out a message asking them to respond and maybe they will be glad that someone is reaching out to them. If you have already done so, maybe it was not the right time, try again. The best thing to do is to be persistent at keeping in contact with them. Especially when they become active again. Then they will know that you are there to help them and they won't feel overwhelmed or abandoned.

If you are doing great in your journey with SFI, make sure and tell them that you are. They will be motivated by hearing about your success and it may make them jump back in that much sooner. Be a leader and they will follow.

There are a lot of different things you can do to encourage dormant affiliates to be active again. The best approach depends on who they are (PSA, CSA, or another generation) and if they actually learned anything when they first started.

For PSAs and CSAs, you can contact them personally by email. This is the best way to communicate with someone, and if you can get their attention, you might be able to give them more information about SFI. Let's face it - there are a lot of people who sign up, sign out, and never look back. For these affiliates, it's important to make personal contact and try to help them understand that SFI is a real business with real potential. It helps in these cases to ask them what they were looking for when they signed up, too, because that can open the door to conversation. Conversation is key.

For others who have already looked around and have a better understanding of the program, sometimes they need encouragement. It takes work to succeed here, and they might just need a nudge to be reminded of the potential of the system.

For the rest of your downline, I don't think you can email them personally. As far as I know, we don't have access to that information.

For these, and indeed for your whole team, the best way to communicate is through the Genealogy Mailer. This gets to your whole team, and something in your mailer may just be the nudge a dormant affiliate needs to look at the program again with a new set of eyes.

As for my personal experience, I never give up sending them follow up emails even though they are not responding. This is our job, our business. We really need to be patient enough because in order to grow our business we need to work hard for it. And part of it is a never ending follow up with your team.
