If I had to start again, I would take a more focused and targeted approach to my marketing. Different marketing methods work better for different businesses, and in the relatively short time I have been with SFI, I have discovered that some marketing methods I have always relied on in the past are not very effective for SFI. So, I have discarded the marketing methods that bring poor results, and have experimented and discovered other methods that are more effective.

This was, and still is (because it's ongoing), a process of trial and error, and some of the mistakes cost money. If I was starting again, I would be able to bypass the mistakes, save myself money, and build my business faster.

I would also be a little slower to reassign affiliates. In my first weeks, I was so eager to encourage anyone who seemed the slightest bit keen that I ended up reassigning good affiliates to others who have now not logged in for weeks. With the experience I have now, I am much slower to reward my affiliates with reassignments. I want to be sure they are really serious about the business, and not just caught up in that initial wave of enthusiasm that soon burns out. With a few exceptions, I now only reassign affiliates to those who have achieved at least the rank of EA2.

This question brings memories of early days. Thanks for that!

I think most of us will immediately, on day one, ask about how the ASK SC Tab works, how to get that 1 VersaPoint from ASK SC?

I will save some of the Start-Up Actions for month two, to help me to get the next 1500 VersaPoints easier. Will do in the first month just enough of the To-Do’s and Start-Up actions to get to 1500 VersaPoints.

I will put more value-adding items on my Standing Order. A Co-Op and TCredits. This bring value to you business in the form of people in your down line and opportunity to bid for CSA’s and PSA’s, which in turn means possibly more people in your down line.

I will learn much earlier how to bid more cleverly in the auctions and to only bid for items that can add value to my business, PSA’s and CSA’s.

I will start immediately with a web site or Blog to promote SFI. Probably the most powerful tool to promote and grow your business.

Regarding MRP’s: All those that you get for each bid, use it to buy some more TCredits, giving you lots of extra VersaPoints as well as another opportunity to bid, as well as to earn some more MRP’s. I did not know this when I joined SFI.

First of all is the fast track. most of the affiliates just forget that they can get 200 VPs & another badge by getting 500 VPs within first 24 hours.
Secondly I will not rush to get all the VPs in the first month itself. I will try to adjust the way that I just become EA i.e get 1500 VPs without spending anything. Also get another 1500 VPs next month & become EA2 without spending anything.
Thirdly I will not try to get BTL or STL or GTL or PTL without first building a very good downline.

If I were starting over, I would first do the most important thing - log in every day and complete my ToDo list. Some of the basic tasks starting out are worth reviewing until I actually remember them.

Then I'd take some time every day exploring more of the training that's available. I've had a lot of experience on the internet, but there is always something new to learn here.

I'd start building my team right away, using the coop at least until I have more experience.

I would; 1. earn the fast track badge
2. set up a standing order worth 1500vp or more immediately
3. spend on new sign ups, Tcredits and participate in auctions
4. rate ask sc answers daily, visit my T connect page as well all daily tasks
5. focus keenly on duplication and my weekly monthly and intermediate tasks
6. READ, READ and READ

I would have started reading the Forum Posts and News Posts on the homepage from day one and realized that I needed to check them several times a day. There is such good information in them. And often I don't have time to just go to the Forum, but I may find a link or a referral in these posts that will take me to a specific page that answers a question that I have.

I also don't have enough time some days to spend at IAHBE, so I would have set up a specific time in my schedule sooner to go there and learn as well. And a time to learn should definitely be set up for all of the training. It is one thing to do it every day and something else to remember to find the answers. Constant review makes us more aware of where to find answers when we are asked a question on the forum or by our downline.

SFI is about duplicating and to duplicate we must learn and do.

This is a great question Mr. Boyle,

I have to first tell you that in my own opinion I would not change a thing.
Why?? I choose to say I wouldn't change it.

1. Because before I knew what SFI was all about I was feeling skeptical about the whole start up. As I slowly learned through all the information that was given to me via Launchpad, I quickly learned that each day something new and exciting is coming about. Checking and Reading the Launchpad daily helped me realize the potential of growing my own business.

2. SFI provides you everything that you need to learn and how to start your business. If you don't read and follow the directions that they tell you, You will be lost and you would feel that the business that you started is not worth your time. So I suggest that all affiliates should take their time to read and follow each steps so that you can grow your business the right way.

3. Another thing that really surprises me is that other new affiliates that signs up don't follow through after they find out a little bit about the business. Maybe others don't really have the time to be handling their business here everyday or maybe they think that this is not going to work for them because they thought that they will be earning a lot of money right away just like some of the ads say but in any business, you have to put your hard work and efforts enable for it to grow.

So with this being said, I suggest to other affiliates not to change the course that SFI has provided for each individual affiliates as this will help you step-by-step on how you can grow your business and develop great relationship with others.

Hope this helps other affiliates who would read it. I know that I apply this to my own habits so that I don't feel losing my business on the right track.

When i first started out on SFI i rushed everything, did the launchpad quickly in a day, didn't really read anything, all i did was collect points no matter what they were.

Each day i rushed in at 5pm New Zealand time, and do my dailies and leave it till next day.

Now after starting oer again and closing my other account, i relaxed, took some time to read everything, got to know the system a lot better, knew what i was doing, and in the end its doing better than my first attempt.

So the lesson was to take it easy, do not rush, and relax. as People say it can be overwhelming at times and that was the major that got me big time.

The only reason a person quits is because he/she doesn't understand SFI clearly..SFI provides all the knowledge and tools needed..If we feel like something is missing we can always contact the support or google the details..If a person quits , then it means that he didnot have proper guidance to help him get all the tools..

So,back to the question.. when i decide to start over,i will

1.join under a great helpful sponsor..
2.Be on fast track and EA soon..
3.Duplicate myself by posting ads and joining more co-ops
4.Start an ECA and make a bundle by selling products..
5.List items as tc member and earn VP for selling..
6.Help all my PSAs,CSAs and a2a friends..
7.Participate more in PTP contest and auction..

In short i would do everything differently..

Firstly, I would ensure I tool advantage of the Fast-Track badge and VersaPoints. You can never get those VersaPoints or Badge again. When I started, I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of information laid out before me which is why I tell all my new recruits to focus on three buttons under their profile: Start, SFI Basics and Launchpad.

Secondly, I would take it slower and treat my VersaPoints like the gold dust they are. By this I mean:

Step 1: Achieving Fast-Track on day one

Step 2: Aim to reach Executive Affiliate by the end of the first month. This can be done by doing the Launchpad, daily task and a few of the intermediate actions.

Step 3:In month 2, purchase a standing order so my EA status is secured leaving the rest of my initial VersaPoints to easily propel me into BTL in month 3.

Taking ones time has many advantages. Apart from the above mentioned, it enables us to get to know the business inside out before we take on the Team Leadership role. This makes duplication far easier and in those first three months, we should have gained enough friends through our up-line, a2a and the forum to help us with any support we need in advising our downline.
