What are the benefits of using an auto-responder system in SFI...or should I not use one?

The benefit of Auto responder are numerous
It promote your relationship with your client ( communication is a major key to success)
When an affliate registers and he/she gets a message instantly telling them they are wellcome and providing them with Steps to take to grow makes them feel important and not left out, so its easy for them to ask questions and in such process build your business.
I don't have an auto-responder and don't know how to use one, but at times I think it would be very useful. I try to write several times after a person joins, and depending on how he is doing, the letters vary. But the non-starters get a different letter than those who slow down at 500 vp, and from those who are really doing their work.
But these letters, in each category, are so much alike that, once a letter is well thought out, it does suit the whole category for which it was written. So it can be sent out as a group mailing. And as each person progresses or sits idle, a new appropriate letter is sent out for a total of 3 or 4 or more.
Except that, each person got into SFI on a different date and I want to time these letters appropriately, like 3 days, a week, etc.
As the affiliates become more noticeable with their vp, then I think they should be written to individually. And so should each person who writes the sponsor be answered individually.

To be honest with you, I do not use autoresponders and do not really advise you to do that because messages should be fresh each day. The only mesage I use that is sort of automated, but is replaced with a person's name, is the personal greeting to new affiliates that is on the SFI Web site. Your new affiliate greeting is very important, so use the sample one as a guide and work from there.
If you are away for period and no body is there to respond then auto-responder is a good tool but you explain that once you back you will contact, leaving important tips or some one responsible address to contact as phone number or E.mail . But leaving the system work blindly you are just leaving bad impression about you work efficiency. so if you use if you have to use it wisely for limited period, and go back to your customer once they leave their messages and questions as you come back.

You should use auto responder,it helps a lot in motivating new affiliate.
Make your message so simple that an affiliate of each type would be able to read & understand. As a new affiliate joins SFI, he/she faces a lot of options and reading in front of him/her,they gets confused & without knowing the power of sfi they just leaves.
So i think auto responder does that job for you.
Have a nice day :)
I would not recommend an auto-responder, especially when dealing with new affiliates who will need your guidance. It is better to set a time when you can respond to each individual. The only time I would recommend you use an auto-responder is to send welcome letters as those will be standard, other than that avoid it. Remember this, no one like to speak to a machine.
The possibility to send SCHEDULED messages/to-dos/inspirational letters/reminders etc. to selected members, or to the entire downline with a single click would help the every-day work of sponsors and teamleaders. Once you've built a series of letters to send out then set up your autoresponder, the hard work gets automated and you can focus on different jobs.
I would not use autoresponders in SFI and would not advise using them for one reason: Answers should be fresh and communications should be as often as possible with affiliates/customers. That is the only reason I have. It may be that others are using them, but there would have to gbe a very good reason for doing so.
interesting question, yes there are benefits using a auto-responder, but for me i will rather try and get close or have contact with my PSA or CSA for many reasons i will just list a few:
1. To get to know well my PSA OR CSA kind of form a relationship
2. The questions they may ask or solutions they may seek for could be of benefit to me also
3. with an auto-responder i may get to miss out on certain information i may need to advance to the next level
4. The auto-responder could get me lazy on my SFI business
To me i will be better off responding to my PSA and CSA by my self cos i will get to do more research on the business and it will give me the satisfaction of rating my performance and how well i relate to people cos that is essential in marketing
I hope that helps

First of All, we must not use the auto-responder system in SFI, If you will use auto-responder it means every time a person will get the same message which shows about you that you are not serious or have no time, always try to use fresh message which will really give motivation and argue others about yourself that you really do care, Now, if you are not available only in this case you can use the auto-responder, which will also put positive impact that you do care...
