You know regardless of what you tell your team some of them are not going to follow you. This means they were not right for SFI. You did nothing wrong here. This industry is not for those looking for instant gratification. Those who are have set themselves up for failure. On the contrary, how do you encourage those on your team who are looking to build a future with SFI? You always reward the "opt-in". You say something like this, "Greetings, thanks for submitting your sponsor rating this month. As a token of my appreciation, I am going to give everyone who submitting a rating a ""." Whatever you can do to help, if you have MRR to a marketing package give it to your team member for taking the appropriate action or send them a small gift certificate. Don't underestimate the power of a few bucks! Especially since you know that most affiliates are seeing pennies for commissions until their business grows to the point to pay nice dividends.

once you rate sponsor, you are also rating yourself, You are rating your sponsor base on how
supportive he/she is ,it shows that you participation in SFI is currently existing actively
so you really have to rate them, so that they (sponsor) would also know how and where they stand,
It is important for them to know their rating so that they would also know that they have to be more supportive to their downlines necessarily.
I simply ask them to rate me, so I can see how I am doing as their sponsor. If you do the things to help them grow their business, and they see results ,plus be supportive, and they realize that you have their genuine interest at heart, they will kindly do so. Action speaks loudly than words and your ratings will increase and become higher every month!
I think there is no so much to do, since its a part of SFI activities by which they earn 10 VP. Therefore, you can tell them that by rating his Sponsor they're showing what kind of job he/she is doing.
Each Team Mail I send has a reminder and a Thank You for submitting SFI and Sponsor ratings. I also explain that this is a way for me to know what kind of job I am doing, as well as an easy way to earn 1 VP each month!
Most important that members of your team would be focused on attaining ranks of EA or Bronze Team Leader. They will want to get as many VPs as possible. In my experience only the people fighting to get higher rank will submit sponsor rating anyway.
I communicate with my downline on a regular basis, although I do not directly tell them to submit the sponsor rating form. I motivate them to ask anything without hesitation.
Each mail that I send has a reminder and a thank you.
