Great and very important question.

As you'd be aware, the SBuilder Co-Op is SFI's own co-op. We can be sure that any marketing techniques used by SFI are ethical and not misleading. You can also be sure that SFI is targeting new signups from the best possible places. This should mean a higher activity rate for your signups.

Now while I'm sure most affiliates that are running co-ops themselves are doing this ethically and are targeting the right market, there is no guarantee of this. If an affiliate is running misleading ads or targeting the wrong areas you will get lower quality signups.

A lot of it really comes down to trust. Do you trust SFI to do the advertising in the right way on your behalf? I don't think there should be any doubt to that.

Do you trust your upline to do the same? I would like to think so but that is a decision everyone needs to make for themselves.

The same applies to ECA's selling signups. Do you trust them?

Remember that it's your money they are spending.

If you buy an S-Builder Co-op unit you can pay full price and reap all the referrals, or you can co-op the co-op and let your CSAs and PSAs split the cost and you split the referrals with them. This gives you a certain measure of control over the division of cost and benefits. (I recently bought an S-Builder Co-op unit and shared it with two people as a thank you. I paid the full price, but share the referrals. It is a reasonably priced way to do something for someone else.)

Another member who has co-oped the co-op may offer to sell you shares which would allow you to participate in the same S-Builder Co-op advertisements, but at a lower cost and consequently with a lower benefit. I think this is a good way to "get your feet wet", especially if funds are not readily available for you to purchase an S-Builder Co-op unit at this time.

Which one is best for you will be determined by your ability and willingness to invest money in an S-Builder Co-op unit and whether you want all the referrals or are willing to share them in order to reduce your outlay.

By comparing them both, you'll be armed with important information to run your SFI business efficiently.

Benefits of S-Builder Co-op:

- Save time by plugging in to SFI global advertising co-op. S-Builder is SFI's new, international, multi-channel advertising co-op.

- Units (shares) of S-Builder cost as little as $22. For just 72 cents a day, you can build a residual income stream. S-Builder is one of most economical ways to build an online business ever!

- Allows you in modest means to participate in large-scale advertising campaigns and share in the results without a significant investment.

- Like any other co-op, it is an investment nonetheless, and no specific results are guaranteed, and no refunds are available.

- Receive sign-ups (both SFI affiliates and TC members) and you can split the cost of S-Builder units with any of your PSA's or CSAs who buy a unit (or units).

Hi, Jane! On my team, as on many others, I use the S-Builder to power my Team Co-op. (In my case, the Co-op is free once you reach certain goals.) So in many cases, the difference is that you don't receive as many sign ups as you would with your own share.

On the other hand, if your Sponsor is buying each member a share and combining them each month, the effect is the same or slightly better than if you buy your own share.

If your upline is using some other traffic gathering source, you may receive a guaranteed amount of sign ups.

Ask your Sponsor how the co-op is run. You may want to participate in both S-builder and the Team Co-op if they are from different sources AND are within your budget. Mixing it up can pull from different markets, giving you a slight edge.

However, it is always a numbers game, so try to get the most you can for your money. If the Team Co-op is free or discounted, go for that plus something of your own. If not, I would personally buy my own shares of S-builder or some other ECA's product. That way, all the sign-ups would go to me. There are several good products available to you through Tripleclicks, and you can choose a share or a set number of sign ups as low as 5 at a time.

As I am on Social Security, some months are rather lean, so I go for the 5 guaranteed sign ups. Other months, I go for thè security of S-Builder, which can bring sign ups for as long as 4 months. Sometimes, I do both. My budget and my desire to grow my business are always my guides.

There could be many benefits to either, but, S-Builder Co-Op has been using proven and effective methods in recruiting new affiliates at an affordable price; you also earn Versa Points for each unit purchased, contributing to your SFI business with VP accumulation and PSA and TC Referral recruits adding further possibilities to your earning potentials.

The S-Builder Co-Op also uses global advertising methods in various forms, including TV, Radio, Magazine, Cell Phone Instant Messaging, and many other methods they regularly use while also continually updating their advertising methods to improve overall quality.

A 3rd party Co-Op, depending on the financial resources available can also utilize many of the same effective methods, but neither are guaranteed to produce any active affiliates. It would be best to try both then figure for yourself which you prefer, but personally, I prefer a combination of both. I also try different ECA products for recruitment as well, adding to my VP accumulation for the month, and my PSA count.

All I can tell you, Miss Janet, is that I love the idea of having my SO S-Builder unit working for me every day, sending me PSAs and PRMs regularly, for a VERY reasonable fee!

I believe S-Builder is very good for SFI affiliates because larger groups contributing to the buying fund can buy more, better, advertising than smaller pools can. That is not being disloyal to your upline, it is better benefiting your own team specifically, and the teams of ALL affiliates in general. Better 100,000 (pick a large number) members paying $22 for a buying pool than 5,000 (,say,) members paying $??. Quantity is better in this instance.

Getting your PSAs thru your upline's (or another ECA, for that matter) co-op has no more guarantee of "live" affiliate sign-ups than S-Builder does, so I would tend to stick with that which I KNOW has been succeeding well for me, with small cost, and no tending on my part!

Now I have time to tend to my growing downline, and to my own continuing education.

Both S-builder and upline co-op are good investments to bring in a steady stream of PSAs. However each has their own merits the bottom line being they both help to build up your SFI business. I think it’s a good idea if funds permit to invest equal amounts in both and compare the results.

S-BUILDER
The main advantage of the S-builder is it is one of the popular standing orders with sales and action VPs attached. You also get a badge for it. Unlimited shares can be bought. You also can motivate your deserving PSAs by giving them a gift certificate to purchase a share of S-builder. The S-builder being a direct product of SFI it is a trustworthy source. At a cost of $22 the S-builder is value for money and an economical way to build your SFI business.

UPLINE MEMBER’S CO-OP
The upline member’s co-op is a very much more powerful form of advertising than the S-builder. When several of your team members share the cost of advertising, it allows team members to pool your dollars together to advertise and share in the leads generated. The real power of co-op results in tremendous benefits to the co-op leader because he builds a strong team. The co-op leader not only earns from his team members but also from every new affiliate the co-op attracts. The SFI Co-op Manager provides an user friendly platform and all you have to do is to plug in your co-op participants and collect payments.

My quick and direct answer to your question of what the benefit is of buying an S-Builder Co-op unit vs. buying an upline member’s co-op unit is that when buying into the S-Builder Co-op, you are directly supporting SFI.

I think that is important for all affiliates to consider doing. The more we can support SFI directly, the stronger the company becomes and the better that is for all of us.

Having said that, my practice and my recommendation is to purchase BOTH S-Builder units and ECA co-op units. That way, you diversify your results, plus you are supporting the ECA and TripleClicks.

Also to be considered is S-Builder sign-up results are slower to come in and are fewer, while ECA co-op units can provide larger numbers, faster. But the S-Builder affiliates seem to be more keen and active, whereas (in my experience) the ECA co-op sign-ups are much less active.

Still, I recommend buying both S-Builder and ECA co-op units to diversify your results and to support both SFI and TripleClicks.

Building your business is not an overnight process. Taking this into consideration I believe you have the time to discover this answer for yourself.

We can all list the benefits of an S Builder Co-op share, and if you can't you can learn all about them by clicking on the button on the left hand side of the screen nder your badges, but each upline co-op will have different features and different ideas.

Take the fact that we have affiliates here enrolling more than 1000 people a day, that is a huge number...now if he was your upline he has obviously found an untapped market place at the moment and is enrolling droves of people, your upline co-op could have an unsaturated spot where droves of people are coming into the business.

Taking the fact that a business is not built overnight, I believe you should give all the options a chance and try each one for 3 months, compare the results and decide which co-op benefits you the most.

Keep in mind that quality is always better than quantity here!

I'm glad that you have asked this question.

1. The benefit of buying into an upline member's S-Builder Co-op would only be if you can't afford to buy your own S-Builder. Your upline may have another type of co-op but I think S-Builder Units are still the best way to go, unless they offer you a free share.

2. If you buy your own S-Builder Co-op Unit you earn MRP and VP. You could even set this up as a Standing Order and have more than one.

You can then set it up as a Co-op for yourself and/or your team, earning yourself 100 VP. You win, no matter who in your downline get the new PSAs.

To set your S-Builder Co-op Unit into a Co-op, go to SFI's Power Tools. Under that choose Co-op Manager. Follow the simple instructions. You can assign shares to just yourself and/or your downline, as a way to get fresh PSAs.

It could be set up as a contest for your team to win a free share.

Alternatively, you can allow downline affiliates a chance to invest in one with you, if they can't afford their own.
