In the sense of recruiting in fixed areas it certainly can be, and in may cases more so.
Think of how Network Marketing was done before the Internet - everything was done offline and those methods are tried and tested, and I am sure you are familiar with many of them. Now with the Internet every affiliate marketer has a website for recruiting and selling, and quite rightly so. But that does not mean we should abandon localised offline methods, especially for those already comfortable with that field.
Why not have a local meeting, Amway style, to introduce a group to SFI. Use your skill with presentations to run through the website, program, and show them TripleClicks. Show them what you already do. Show them it's real. Then get them to sign up then and there for FREE.
How much easier will it be to follow up a team you personally recruited and can personally contact?
Use the letters on the Marketing section for direct mail and hand out those SFI flyers at the shows. For every person who is not doing it, recruit someone who does.
Look at how successful Wave3 has been and that is fairly new. If you like offline advertising, get that sticker on your car, and encourage others to do the same.
