We are in the era of social marketing being the most popular in recruiting for new affiliates. We tend to forget this particular, also very important way of reaching out to our potential sign-ups. Face-to-face communication should not be overlooked as a viable alternative to our approach in recruiting.

Face-to-face does not mean we have to be there physically with our contacts. With technological advances, we can still do it with personal touch. Skype, Facebook, Google+ and video

Somewhere around 20 years ago I was involved in a MLM company where I learned that the most effective way of sponsoring was doing one on one presentations.

First of all I had to run ads so I could get some contacts who would agree to meet me in a neutral location, such as a coffee shop or restaurant. Out of 100 leads I would get about 5 or 6 appointments for one on one meeting. Out of 5 or 6 appointments only two or three showed up for the presentation.

10 Ways for Preparing to Be Effective When Doing One on One Recruiting

Main aim (ahead of giving the now interested person a card or flyer that contains your referral link): To be confident that you'll be able to easily answer any question that you are asked.

1. Plan what your first words or sentences will be, write them down, learn them, and then say them out loud to yourself, to the mirror, or to a pet.

2. Practice makes perfect - practice with family members and

Hi Phyllida,

All of us have been recruiting since the day we could speak. We have all been making friends, trying to please or help others since we were born. So getting a person to listen to you and believe what you are saying is really not a hard thing to do. Specially if you tell the truth.

1) It's important to read and learn so you will be able to explain what SFI is, answer questions, and why you want them to join your team. Reviewing the Basics video, the Start and

If you want to recruit affiliates this way, to be effective, you need the following:

- Know you stuff. You must have a very good understanding of how SFI works. People will ask you questions that you may have never anticipated. You've got to think on your feet and come up with the correct answer. If you don't have the answer however - all is not lost. Tell them that you will find out the answer and come back to them with it. Don't make up one.

- Professionalism. You

Face-to-face recruitment is an excellent method for obtaining high-quality PSAs. I learned it by doing, before my SFI job, the sale of life insurance and the team forming for that job, also on the principles of MLM. We did not work over the Internet - the live words only, SMS or cellular phone...
You have to look at a few important things:

1. There is no "second impression". There is only the "first impression". Translated - positive thoughts lead positive results.

How can I be effective recruiting affiliates face to face and one on one?

I think its great that you want to get together with a prospective affiliate for a meeting, as you say, “face to face” and “one on one”. And I think that this will give you the best opportunity to present SFI to them and the best chance to sign them up.

This person may be from your warm market or they could be a contact made through local advertising or even a chance meeting. Either way you will

“Recruiting Affiliates face- to-face and one-on-one” falls into the category of personal business interactions. A large segment of the business population still refrains from closing deals unless there is a face to face exchange. The hand shake is still an excellent way to judge character, trustworthiness and reliability.

Our level of integrity and our business standards will show clearly when we discuss deals one-on-one. It is the instance where our confidence and self-control play
