Now, since your question is mainly focused on SFI, I think what you should do is to explain to them what residual and leveraged income is and how they can be obtained. After giving them an idea about what they are, start giving them simple mathematics of our compensation plan. Give them sample computations. But, be honest and tell them that earnings won't be that high on their first month. Personal sales is, of course important to earn aside from earnings they can get from their active team.

People are diverse in their personality, belief, physicality and conviction, so convincing people that SFI is a unique and rare opportunity will not always be an easy one.

In my six months here, I have come to know that convincing people to buy into what you believe is a gold-mine is not easy and to convince them, I have resorted to doing this;

- Showing them that get on board SFI is absolutely FREE.

You cannot convince people that SFI is a unique and rare opportunity. You can only show them the website and the opportunity available, as well as the TripleClicks website.

They have to make their own minds up as to if it is for them and if you are spending time trying to convince people , then you are knocking your head against a wall.

Yes it is an amazing opportunity, but they have to come to that conclusion by themselves , all you have to do is to put the information in front of them that shows them that.

Trying to convince them that it is a great opportunity is a bit like you are trying to convince yourself. They will either say Yes or No, or they may come back at a later date. But that is their decision not yours.

So just Show and Tell. And leave it to them. Don't presurise yourself, you are supposed to enjoy this business.

Although, it is not easy to convince people (based on my personal experience) that SFI is a unique and rare opportunity they shouldn't miss out, but we can still convince them in some ways.

* By using your own profile as an example. This is one of the greatest way to convince people when they see your record and how far you have gone since you sign-up for SFI business. Your achievement, aims and what you have done so far to achieve your aim, the certificate you have acquired and also your earnings can convince them.

* Through posters, x-cards, e-cards, banners on your web page, etc. They will surely thinking that before you can have all these things that promote a business then you must have been sure of it and what what you are talking about.

* Testimonies- This another way of attracting and convincing them to join SFI. People like to do what others have done and has giving them a positive result. Show and give out the testimonies of other members.

* Good approach, advertising skills along with Luck. This one last thing i will like to add which is Luck. Your luck can bring people to sign up also. Some people are just good on advertising things. I believe that if you tell people that SFI has been in business for 17 years and therefore it is built on a solid foundation and has great leadership, they will pay attention. If you read the statistics on the failure rate of new businesses, the fact that SFI has continued for 17 years and has grown and improved each year shows that it is not a fly-by-night company and it is not a pyramid scheme.
One of the best reasons to choose SFI is the fact that you can join for free and you will receive valuable training at no cost to you! Even if you have no marketing experience, you will be able to learn everything you need to know to become successful. How to convince people that SFI is;

1). A Unique Opportunity
You will need to shake their beliefs by demonstrating to them that the SFI affiliate marketing program is unlike anything else that they already know or have participated in.

Also, you will need to demonstrate to them that because of the SFI affiliate marketing program being the only one of its kind in the market, it is therefore superior to its competitors', citing whatever it is that makes he SFI affiliate marketing program special.

That is, undermine their knowledge base with objective evidence that is informed by your outstanding knowledge of SFI, the market and researched data. Do not use repetition and the law of attraction or program anyone' subconscious mind.

2). A Rare Opportunity
I suggest you use power phrases/words when demonstrating and presenting the SFI affiliate marketing program as a rare opportunity to people. I find the following power phrases very enticing;
Excellent; extraordinary compensation plan and benefits; highly valued by over 100,000 affiliates in 203 countries because of its uncommonness; admirable; exemplary, etc.

In my opinion, the goal is not so much to convince people that SFI is the greatest thing ever--they've heard things like that from every pushy salesman with shoddy goods--but rather to show them that SFI is a useful tool that can help them reach their financial goals with reasonable ease. The best way to do this, I find, is by showing them the processes by which I am able to do these same things. If your promotion processes already include the elements of training, they will be duplicating your success by the time they sign up.

That said, it helps to understand what your particular segment of interested people want. For example, I came to SFI because I wanted to learn how affiliate programs work; I stayed because of all the information and training provided by the site, as well as all the tools I needed to start succeeding. Some of the marketing tools take a completely different approach, and those will attract completely different people. You need to know your audience if you're going to successfully communicate with the people in it.

People keep telling you that you can't convince people to do anything but that is historically incorrect and factually wrong on so many levels.

Sales forces, news media, teachers and schools, politicians, and even your preacher, priest, or Rabbi all have a job that requires they convince you and sway public opinion. You don't naturally decide to use a toilet in place of a diaper you have to be convince it is the right way to go potty, and that you won't fall into the big hole if you sit still, and that the flushing sounds are not the monster growling.

All religions of the earth convince you of a supreme power that created man. A Power who only manifest themselves to some, who is invisible but with us always, and can monitor the actions of billions of humans. Religion has been effective in doing this for thousands of years both in the form of common faiths and doctrines such as Catholicism, and Protestant or Islamic Faith, and in terms of secular cults like the Branch Davidians in Waco Texas, or the Jim Jones cult that committed mass suicide in South Africa.

We have people who convince people of alien existence, and government cover-ups and hundreds of thousands of people who think the Holocaust didn't happen despite billions knowing it did.

Getting there with SFI is the thing you need to know.

All things successful in convincing others have an evangelical aspect. Even the enthusiastic and fiery opinionated news anchor is an evangelical figure that preaches the truth of the day. The second element is faith, the evangelical mouth piece must have a firm belief in the information they are repeating. If your heart is not in your message your lack of faith will show in that message and trust will be lost. The final ingredient is truth or facts if you will.
