A website and/or a blog are among the advanced marketing methods SFI recommends for sponsoring and building our teams with active affiliates. Thus, we need to give them a great deal of attention and perfect our strategies.
However, getting traffic to your website is not an easy task by itself. The internet is now replete with non organic traffic. It is not genuine. Just recently, I came across software developers who set up an advertising mechanism that logs into safelists and text exchanges to read ads, collect credits and allows its users to post their own ads without ever logging in themselves. Such software is generating web traffic and placing ads without human intervention. Similarly, many of the online traffic providers generate bots to mimic real human activity, mislead marketers to believe they will have real traffic. Various techniques are used to generate this kind of artificial traffic, such as infecting consumers’ personal computers with software that loads Web pages without the owner's knowledge, or installing similar software on cloud computing services
Such non organic traffic is unlikely to convert into sign-ups. If your website is feeding from it, your chance for converting into sign-ups is nil, regardless of what you do. It is not made up of real human visitors.
To convert your traffic into sign-ups you need, first, to attract real business opportunity seekers, prospects looking for reputable business to join. Second, it is imperative that you interact with your visitors, follow up on them, answer their questions. Third, the quality of your sign-ups will improve significantly if you educate them about SFI.
How to Drive Organic Traffic to your website
This is a vast topic in itself. A vital part is your website content: its quality, presentation, friendliness and ease to navigate. That first impression will determine whether the visitor will come back for more. As to the actual techniques, abundant advice is available both outside and in the SFI's advertising section. In summary, you have free advertising and marketing methods such as social media groups membership, blogging, and online press releases. You also have paid advertising and marketing with SEO, pay per click like Google Adwords as well as other website marketing techniques to drive traffic to your website.
Lead Nurturing and Conversion Rate Optimization
Interacting with your website visitors, following up with them, and answering their questions, all of these fall into lead nurturing with the view to optimize your conversion rate. Start with capture/splash pages to build a list from those visitors. Use a responder to communicate with them. Offer them valuable gifts of any kind to make it worthwhile for them to read your messages. Ask for comments and input.
Call to action
A subtle invitation to join is a call to visit, experiment with the games and the auctions and experience SFI from the inside. An effective way is to offer gift cards which will provide your prospects with Tcredits they can use to try the Eager Zebra games, and/or bid on the Pricebenders auctions. This will be a first, important step for converting your visitors and prospects into PRMs and possibly active affiliates
