It depends. There are 2 scenarios I would like to offer to support my stance on this question. Once you become a Team Leader by choice, you will receive your team members from SFI in the form of co-sponsored affiliates (CSAs) so the phrase "don't yet have a team" is out of context.

If you want to lead a team to success here, you must not think about doing your SFI business through the free concept.Generally, you have to accept the fact that you will have to immediately invest a few hundred dollars if you decide to do any of the 2 options below:

Option 1- "Readers are leaders". You have to do hard work in your first 9 days in SFI in relation to the 10-day period given to new sign-ups to go Fast Track. Read the Getting Started, SFI Basics,the LAUNCHPAD lessons, Ask SC , Forum, Rules of Success, and every important article in every tab in your SFI Homepage with thorough understanding. This is for you to be able to familiarize yourself with all the information needed to help your team members know how to do their SFI business. As Team Leader, you are responsible for all these.

If you can do all of the above, you can go for the Bronze Team Leader rank for a start by buying the New Member Pack (NMP) and the 100 TCredit Pack. Additionally, boost your team by buying any of the PSAs to go packs from TripleClicks. Use your TCredits to bid on auctions in Pricebenders to avail of the Bid and Build program thus gaining 1 PSA for every 100 bids. And lastly, invest in S-Builder coop to constantly increase your PSAs every month even without talking to anyone! Then be a Silver Team Leader to have the power to re-assign your PSAs to your workers for them to be team leaders as well.

Option 2- If you have enough leadership experience in the past as a leader in organizations or groups utilizing team work methods and you are well-versed in marketing and human resource management, you can immediately embark as a Bronze Team Leader for your first exposure to SFI team leadership position. Do this by buying the New Member Pack and the 100 TCredit Pack to qualify for BTL immediately in your first month from sign up. Fortify your position by buying any PSAs-to-go packs and the S-Builder coop unit each month to enlarge you team . Eventually, get that Lifetime Custom Prestige Domain for SFI Affiliates to have s strong advertizing tool in social media and traffic exchange sites.

The next month, you can go for the Silver Team Leader rank to have the power to re-assign PSAs to your workers so they too, may become Team Leaders. And the chain will go on stronger as you and your team practice duplication in building your respective teams.

My answer to you comes from my own experience. When I first started, I reached out to a team leader in my upline and asked what did I need to do to be a good team leader. I didn't understand at that time that I didn't have a team to lead, but that soon changed. My Team began to grow Immediately because of my rank and the shares I received of second home CSA's some of them team leaders. My Team is in the Thousands now 15 months later, many of which are inactive, that comes with the territory. but my Team grows monthly because of my rank as team leader

If you have the drive, and will to be a team leader (YOU ARE!) because' "as a man thinketh in his heart so is he." Without Doubt go for your dream. Lead from the start & you will Lead in the end. Dont be discouraged when things seems to progress too slowly. LEARN your business as you go and apply what you've learned. Never give up!

Yes, a person should definitely go for the rank of Team Leader if they do not yet have a Team! I make this statement for many good reasons and it is based on my own personal experience.

In achieving the rank of Team Leader, an Affiliate qualifies to receive one or more shares of Second Home CSAs in the next month; these Second Home CSAs are Team Members for the Affiliate and can generate commissions for the Affiliate. For some months. the commissions I earn from my Second Home CSAs are higher than the commissions I earn from my PSAs or from my Sales. Remember also, that prior to qualifying as a Team Leader, the Affiliate will have qualified as an Executive Affiliate and will have received two CSAs, possibly the first members of his/her Team!

Another point to keep in mind is whether or not the Affiliate has become a Fast-Track Member and purchased a New Member Pack. The New Member Pack includes 3 CSAs added to your team!

The rank of Team Leader gives an Affiliate more credibility in the eyes of potential PSAs, Team Members and SFI Affiliates. PSAs will also have more respect for their Sponsor for being in a position of Leadership as a Team Leader.

The rank of Team Leader gives an Affiliate certain benefits each month, such as a higher allotment of TCredits each month, the aforementioned shares of Second Home CSAs and Express Affiliate Support (faster response from Support). Silver Team Leaders and Team Leaders ranking higher than Silver have the benefit of being allowed to write SFI approved ads and promotions. Team Leaders will also receive higher payouts through VersaPoints Matching in the levels of PSAs (deeper levels for higher Team Leader ranks) + CSAs. I personally believe that you should go for team leader as soon as you can!
To do this you need a combination of 3000 VP
1500 - 2000 Sales or Purchase Points
1000 - 1500 Action Points
I notice that many affiliates get hung up on Purchasing instead of Sales!
You do not have to purchase anything, but all regular purchases including vitamins, books electronics and more carry a VP component. In addition Sales generated by your ads, webpage, personal selling, and any other technique that you explore will get you those same points, plus money in the form or commissions and the actual sale of your items either as an ECA or as member sales!
Action points come from a variety of sources including your team, which you automatically start building when you become a Team Leader! You can build an effective team by bringing in Family and Friends or Business contacts or doing raw one on one personal recruiting in your own neighborhood. You can also recruit online via free ads, a blog or by using facebook or other social media. Concentrate on the Need or Want that you can fulfill in all of these communications and get them to contact you for more information, don't rely on links and auto-responders ... people respond to people.
If you follow the SFI program you will have a team, the point is that you must be ready to help them succeed. This is a long-term strategy for long term results and every person who has succeeded in SFI started to win when the adopted this approach!

You are a team leader when, in your mind, you decide to be a team leader. This is true both literally and metaphorically.

You will start thinking as a team leader, focusing on learning and developing leadership skills, visiting the SFI leadership training modules, and reading Forum posts about leadership. You will be acting as a team leader

If an affiliate strive and reach the Executive rank, they are awarded two CSAs right away. They can start sending team mail, and communicating with their new team members, thus learning critical team leader skills.

If you buy an S-Builder Co-unit and or PSAs-to-go, or even just bid on auctions, very shortly, you will have PSAs added to your team, which will begin growing on both its legs of sponsored and co-sponsored affiliates. You are literally a team leader.

When you reach the ranks of Bronze Team Leader (BTL), within approximately 15 days in the following calendar month, your will get your share of the Second Home CSAs. At that stage, your team will be strong with a good number of both PSAs and CSAs.

Now, with the rank of a BTL, your team members will start looking at you as a true team leader, especially if you are communicating with them on a regular basis, both as a group and on one-to-one basis, mentoring and providing all the recommended support as outlined in the Affiliate Manager section. They will look up to you. They will come to you with questions and seeking help. You should grow your knowledge and be ready to provide answers and solutions.

It is true that any team leader will experience some "growing pains": some setbacks resulting from inactive affiliates, or even some active team members who may stop working for one reason or the other. But no business is person is shielded with immunity from the volatility of business growth. Sometimes, it will it will be great. In other times, not so well. All of it is part of the business building process. We learn by going through its ups and downs. We become experienced, stronger, resilient.

Yes. If you believe you understand the business plan of SFI.

As soon as you become a Team Leader (BTL) you will receive second home CSA's and you automatically have a TEAM!

Sometimes you will be fortunate enough to inherit active CSA's!
In my case I once got an STL, which was very exciting considering I was only a BTL!
Mostly though you inherit inactive CSA's. This should not discourage you - look at it as a challenge! Maybe receiving YOUR personal message and offers of assistance come at a time they are curious enough to come back and examine the opportunity again! If you feel confident enough to encourage and support these CSA's then you definitely should go for BTL.(Learn together!!)

Just understand you may not know everything and may not have all the answers, but you can find out!

The other thing is that you will earn valuable VP for sending Stream Posts and team mails every week, so even if you do not get a response from your CSA's you can at least "practice" being an Awesome Sponsor!!! Just keep sending those mails!!!

I love my CSA's - they are by far the most active members of my team and I am always so appreciative of receiving them each month.

Once you have your team, you need to keep building it. Recruiting, advertising, marketing, winning PSA's & CSA's on the Auctions, buying from ECA's, taking a standing order for S-Builder Co-op etc., until you have your 5 EA2's or Team Leaders in your downline and they duplicate you. But don't stop there!! Keep on doing this every month until you have an amazing team and are earning the income you dreamed about!

Go for it! You will gain more and become successful faster with every effort you put in!

To answer your question in regards to Team Leader with or without his/her team, we need to look at the possibilities that one may find himself/herself into to get a better understanding and thus answer your question easily.

Here are the types of situation where Team Leader and team members can occur in building your network:

- You can be a Team Leader without team leadership skills and without a team.

- You can be a Team Leader while learning team leadership skills and with a team.

- You can be a Team Leader with team leadership skills and with a team as per SFI’s The Plan.

1. It is possible to move up to the rank of a Team Leader right in your first month. You can collect all your free pointable actions in just a matter of days and make some financial investment to move up to the TL rank. Would you have acquired the team leadership skills after moving up to the TL rank? Will this strategy works for growing a profitable SFI business? Time will tell.

2. The second type would be when an affiliate move up to TL rank (1000 AVP) received a share of second home CSAs and 2 CSAs for maintaining EA2. This model of growing a SFI business requires some financial investment (needs SO min./max. 1500/2000 SVP) while learning and acquiring the skills needed to lead his/her team.

In pursuing this type, you need to keep in mind that for your team to have faith in your leadership and decision making, you have to have confidence in yourself first. Only you will know if you have the confidence to lead your team as you go through the process of acquiring your leadership skills. After all you’ll be transferring your skills which include your leadership skills to your team members. Trying to teach leadership to your team members without first building confidence is like building a house on a foundation of sand.

3. The third type is classified as a Team Leader in a true sense. SFI devised The Plan of what makes a true Team Leader. It starts with 3000 VP which includes 1000 AVP. You’ll need to log in daily performing daily/weekly/monthly actions to collect approximately 500 AVP and the other 500 AVP will come from your support of 5 EA2s. It will take a lot of your time and effort to develop 5 EA2s. This is worth pursuing to ensure your success.

A Team Leader in a true sense will pioneer the way for his/her team members’ path to success; the training and support that he/she provides will give them experience in bonding the relationship. 2. Just because you do not have your Personally Sponsored Affiliates (PSAs) doesn't mean that you do not have a Team at all.

3. Only difference lies in the %age of commission that you will receive due to the activities of your
PSAs and CSAs.

4. If you read the SFI BASICS, you will understand this very clearly.

5. If you read the Compensation Plan you will know what are all the benefits that you will receive
if you remain a Team Leader.

6. Just by remaining a BTL, you will get more CSAs every month. Higher your TL Rank, more the
shares of CSAs you will receive.

7. It means, you are developing your Team every month.

8. But the question will be, how many of them will be active every month? The same is applicable
to your PSAs also.

9. If you have an active Team of more PSAs becoming EA or TL every month, you can see two
Things:

a) Your earnings go up;
b) You get more CSAs free of cost;
c) Your spending will come down;

Conclusion:

1) If your financial status permits, please keep buying PSAs through S-Builder Co-Op, PSAs to GO,

Your question is good and valid. In order to answer this question we need to know what are the benefits of a team leader with or without a team. In my opinion a person should go for a rank of Team Leader even if there is no team yet.

1. Team building is a continued process, it goes on the day you join SFI. If you do not have a team does not mean that you would never have it. Be an example and lead by becoming an EA first and then team leader.

2. If you are minimum an EA, you would get 2 CSA every month, but if you are a BTL, you would get around 50 CSAs every month (one share).

3. A minimum of TWO (2) CSAs are allotted to you each month you attain the rank of EA (minimum 1500 VP).

4. You can win CSAs in the Daily Grand contest.

5. CSAs/PSA can be won via Price benders Auctions.

6. CSAs can be won each day in the Entrepreneur365

7. Every month, thousands of Co-Sponsored Affiliates are forfeited and need a NEW co-sponsor.

8. Become a Team Leader and a share of all of these forfeited Co-Sponsored Affiliates will be automatically added to your team, with YOU as their new co-sponsor!

9. You receive 1 share if you're a Bronze Team Leader, 2 shares if you're a Silver Team Leader, 3 shares if you're a Gold Team Leader and 4 shares if you're a Platinum Team Leader

1. When you become a TL, you have a share in the 2nd Home CSAs each month. This starts the beginning of your team.
2. From your investment in becoming a TL, you can buy 1-2 units of S Builder to help you in getting a team.
3. From your TCredits bought, you can get PSAs from the Pricebenders Auction or the Bid and Build Program.
4. You can also build your team through games by collating MRP that can be used to purchase S builder or PSAs To Go. That minimizes cost for you.
You'l realize that you are not at a loss if you become a TL without having a team. You end up having one.
Similar question has been asked before and principally i don't stop anyone in my team who wants to be a TL without yet having a team. What i do is to support him/her to make a successful business out of it by reassigning PSAs.
In the forum, one of my upline leaders gave a post on how he rose faster by venturing into being a TL first before having a team. He said immediately he became a TL, he beganto have an active team and they started following suit.
I made that mistake once trying to tell my PSA to slow down in becoming a TL without having a team, i lost that affiliate.
Becoming a TL without having a team requires huge investment. As an Entreprenur, i'l advice you to strategize your plans first before venturing into it.
1. Why do you want to become a TL without having a team? SFI support will tell you there's no point becoming a TL without having a team. They are looking at sustaining and maintaining it for the other consecutive months. Have you considered that? Let that be your goal.
2. How much do you want to invest every month to maintain it without aid from your team? Can you keep affording it without straining your finances?
3. Do you have a plan on how to make profits from your investment?
Why am asking you to look into this, is so as to avoid frustration in the end. People opt out with ill feelings from SFI saying they spend so much with little profit. Why? Because they didn't plan their business well. SFI didn't force them to invest, they did. So if you are ready to invest, make sure you have a realistic plan that will sustain it for you.
Most successful Entrepreneurs use their profits made to run their business. Make sure you create a profit oriented plan that will aid you in building a successful SFI business. Good luck.
