Good question indeed. SFI gives us a chance to post 3 times a week and earn 12 valuable Versa Points a month. But as for as posting a message on stream is concerned we have no restrictions.
Through Stream Post you can:

1. Write useful messages to your down lines. This may include Tips of the day. Any other tip to help your affiliates.
2. You can congratulate your a2a friends on their achievements.
3. You can send messages about your ECA news items.
4. You can respond to other members who has posted on stream post.
5. You can promote non-profit support resources (e.g. a co-op) is allowed for your downline and CSAs only.
6. Stream for any other advertising or soliciting of any kind is strictly prohibited. Violation will result in suspension and/or permanent loss of posting privileges.
7. You can read notification from SFI corporate and take actions accordingly.
8. There are good tip on SFI by Top SFI Leader Stone Evan. You can read them and make use of them.
9. You can read posts by various posts by various ECAs and see if you like any of the items they advertise on Stream posts.

The Stream tab is a great tool to build the businesss. Personally I post minimally 3 times each week up to 7 times a week.

I use the Stream to share motivational quotes, links to specific articles that SFI has posted or even messages of cheer for all PSA's, CSA's and levels below.

The Stream is like a "post;it' note to share a quick message with team members and has you word the messages to the point so are simple to read with less wordiness.

I encourage everyone to use the Stream tab to post as this is a great start to develop web presence with SFI and fellow affiliates and to develop confidence for other posts that you author such as blog posts on the Team Leadership page or even the ASKSC.

The STREAM in my view is a quick update to your team members on what is going on.

* I try to post something motivational and share my experiences with my team members. This helps to encourage them and keep in touch.

* You should should make use of the 3 AVPs assigned to the stream effectively by ensuring that you post something that will provide news inc case some members are not very active. SFI usually tells you when your last post was but you also have the opportunity to post to various segments of your team: PSAs only, PSAs and CSAs, A2A friends, Gen 2 and below etc.

* You do not want to inundate messages to your teams and cause them to feel that there is a repetitive message(s) coming from you so decide who you will post to. To post 3 times in a week is a good start but if you feel you should post something important, then do so more than thrice.

I use the Stream for a few reasons:
1. To gain another free Versa Point and they do add up over a month
2. To communicate with my downline. At this point, I am still fairly new compared to some of the veterans here, but I have steadily advanced in rank and I am using the experience I gain to learn how to communicate better
3. It forces me to look up, to find, to read something positive to share with others. It is just a good habit to get into and one that I have started to really enjoy since joining SFI

To better answer you actual question, I'd say that the Stream is a good way to keep in touch with all your connections very easily so it should not be overlooked. It keeps your thoughts and comments in front of people, so just use it to encourage, to inspire, to share, to keep in touch - that's really all there is about it.

I post as often as possible, but at a minimum - every 2 days. We are encouraged to post at least every 3 days, but it wouldn't hurt to post every day if you have something valuable to share.

Have had a thought about that question before.
In answering your first question, the good ways of using the stream posts is to
1. Understand the purpose for which SFI established it: it was established for communication between you and your team, between you and your upline leaders and between you and the SFI corporate bodies and for reaching out for help from your a2a friends thereby building your knowledge more about the business. Here you easily get the latest events about SFI from the corporate bodies thereby giving you access to Mr Gery's post and being able to reach to him with your questions if you cannot reach the Forum.
Understanding the purpose of the stream post helps you to maximize and not to go beyond your boundaries e.g the a2a was removed in the stream post in the past because of the abuse of this stream post by a2a friends who were cross soliciting. So understanding the purpose helps you to know the ways it was meant to be used.
2. Use it to build your team by sending them important and relevant information that can help them build their business. You can briefly use it to convey the recent news and developments of SFI to them thereby making your team aware of happenings in SFI. You can also use it to send ideas may be on marketing and how or the technique you are using to build your business, thereby duplication faster and possible in your team.
3. Use it to build a rapport with your upline leaders thereby building your business. From here, you can learn more about your upline updates and their blogs and how they work their business and thereby duplicate them. Also you can also use it to ask questions about your SFI business thereby making every confusion clear.
4. Use the stream post as a medium of encouragement to your team. This is by sending inspiring and motivational quotes and statements to keep your team going. 5. Use it as a congratulatory and recognition/ reward medium to congratulate those in your team who has done exceptionally well and to recognize their feats mentioning it in your post to boost their morale.
Through the stream post, you can easily notify your team of any reward or contest you may have for them and to notify them of any email you might have sent to them thereby enabling them to check their mails and thus receive your weekly letter and getting it to read and to responded to.
6. Use it to reach out to others. This is for your own personal development that can aid you to boost a profitable business. Learning from others and sharing your ideas with like minded people goes a long way to help you build a profitable business. Am talking of your a2a friends. I believe all your a2a friends are active just like you and they participate in all of SFI's activities thereby you are able to learn from them and at the same time be a good friend and perhaps a mentor to them if you are of a higher rank than them. In answering your second question, how many times should you post in a week? I'l say as often as you deem it fit. SFI gives us a minimum of 3 posts per week. I'l say you can exceed that if what you want to pass across to your team and others are important and cannot wait.

I think one of the best ways that Stream posts can be used to build your business, since the only other people who see your Stream are other SFI members, is to promote your ECA store.

You can announce new items you've added to your store, announce sales, featured items or testimonials from your ECA customers.

You can post reminders that other members can earn a commission by promoting your ECA products too. This is helpful for other members who are looking for some extra cash and are good at sales.

It may also encourage other members to build their ECA stores too.

As far as how often to post, it's good to post a minimum of three times a week, but you can actually post as often as you like.

For example, if you've already posted the minimum amount to earn your VPs, you can post a favorite quote, or a tip that's helped you recruit new members to your team.

Just be sure that what you're posting is encouraging, inspiring and helpful to other SFI members, and think of Stream as an expanded Twitter status update.

Steam messages are a terrific tool for daily contact with all your
PSAs, CSAs and A2A Friends.
I especially like Stream as a quick access tool to share important
information with my Team and A2A Friends.

Some of the many uses are:

1. Sharing tips in advertising, marketing, in SFI and the TC Store

2. Recognition,Complementing or Congratulating a Team Member

3. Making special note of a Forum stream which may be of use to all

4. Alerting to an event or News stream

5. Passing on special informational messages to help your Team

6. Motivation and Inspiration

You are rewarded with one Action VP for the first 3 Stream messages
per week.
I recommend at least 3 message per week, sometime more, as needed
by your good judgement.

Stream, also, carries special messages from Gery at SFI Corporate,
your Upline Team Leaders, A2A Friends and ECAs you are connected to.

Maintaining good communication, information and motivation is of primary
importance in Building your Business.

How can Stream help in building your SFI business?

- Through the Stream you’ll be able to get great insight just by asking questions to your downline.
