I would definitely encourage him to keep going and not quit but I would first see how long he's been with SFI and exactly what his "hard work and efforts" are. Hard work is different from person to person; perhaps he is advertising his gateways links occasionally and sending team mail to his downline in an effort get them to become active and nothing is happening. While this can be very frustrating its hardly enough to build a successful SFI business.

The individual would do well to know that if he were to start a brick and mortal business how much work and effort would he have to put into that to make it a real success...years; that what it would take 5-7 years to turn a real profit "IF" he manages to start in business after the first year or two. For some strange reason people think because its an online business the scenario is different. They believe that little effort is needed; not so, if anything more effort, time and determination to succeed is needed. Working a 60-70 hour a week job for someone else is hard work. SFI is is not hard work, what is hard is sticking to what you started, being committed to succeed, not giving up because things are not going as planned, not being focused...that's the hard part.

What do you tell an affiliate who says he going to quit? Tell him to give it another try and this time try something other than the things he's been doing because obviously that's not working. Tell him to put in the time needed to give SFI a real chance. Tell him (tactfully) to drop the defeatist attitude and adopt a winning mindset and lastly tell him..."NEVER QUIT!"

I've never had an affiliate whose talked to me so I've also never had to answer this question, but from my own personal experiences I'd be blunt. Let me explain.
I wouldn't be rude blunt. Just explain in a few words that this business is one where we rely on people and when you involve people you immediately should eliminate deadlines. Every person learns their own way and for some it takes awhile and some not so much, but that doesn't mean they aren't learning. Time is of essence when working with people. It may feel like a lot of hard work and effort, but seriously? It's not. This is a fun job that doesn't take up much time unless a person chooses to use the 'free' route. If you choose to find your own leads it will also take time and experiments. Just because something takes time doesn't mean it's hard work, or effort unless you're allowing yourself to stress out about it.

When you read on the forum you'll find that all the PTL's will tell you that you need to give yourself two to five years to allow this business to grow, blossom, bloom.

I would say to an affiliate that if you put so much effort and money into this brilliant programme, and then quit, it would be such a waste.

When something doesn’t work out one way, there is always another way to skin a cat.

Like any other business trial and error come into place, to succeed you must keep trying, whether it is advertising a different way or investing into different areas of the programme.

I suggest investing in 125 T-credits and the S-Builder Co-op, and in time, set a goal of two years to reap the rewards of this, hence the meaning Strong Future.

Simply tell everyone honestly as in life, absolutely nothing can happen or change over night. SFI marketing isn’t something you can dive into with enthusiasm and give up after a few weeks with no profit. Building your group, email lists, and customers takes a little time. Patience is a virtue—stick with it, and your patience will be rewarded. Be impatient and give up, and you’ll fail.
With all the time and effort you’ve put in so far It will be just fair that you end up with the results. It will happen maybe in a day or two or maybe longer but it will happen.

You don’t have to be passionate about it to make a profit. What you do need , however, is being dedicated to it. It’s YOUR business. YOU decide what to offer. YOU decide how you want to promote it, and YOU have to do the work. It does take a little effort, but by doing the right research, finding the right products, and promoting them in the right way, YOU will be the one making the profit!

Well, if a hard-working affiliate is thinking of quitting, I would have to point out the following two things:

1) If you quit, then all that hard work, all that effort, HAS come to nothing. If you quit when you fail, you haven't learned to succeed.

2) There's a big difference between "hard work" and "effective work." Now, the following analogy takes things to extreme, but it makes the point: Say you need to clean your house, and you go out to the gym and lift weights instead. Yes, you've done hard work, but it's not very effective at cleaning your house. You need to change what you're doing to something more effective. What you change will depend on what you're doing? If classified ads aren't working to promote sales, switch over to safelists, try blogging, or consider promoting face-to-face. Success is about figuring out what works for you, and the more and more effective you make that process, the more and more results you will see.

Now obviously, you need to find out what sorts of efforts he or she is putting out. You need to listen and tailor the suggestions you give to ones that make sense--you don't tell someone who can't write to attempt a blog, for example. Duplication requires effective communication, and if your affiliate isn't succeeding, it means you're not teaching him or her effective ways to duplicate your success.

Hi, this is a good question; but there is an old adage which says: "Rome was not built in a day", and while this is relevant in so many ways to life and business, there is always the question of how long again, and what next can I do!

People get anxious and worried about spending quality time and investments into something that appears to be unyielding, and sometimes at the point of giving up is just when they are poised to succeed.
Another Chinese proverb says that " a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" I would like to say further that it also ends with one single step.

Your job is to encourage your team to stay focused despite the set backs and failures, because these are the elements of their learning and experience, if there are no failures then where is the experience. If there are no setbacks, then where is the learning.

Take the famous Colonel Sanders of Kentucky fried Chicken fame, this man never tasted real success until he was at the age of retirement, even though he tried almost every profession in the book. Including politics, farm worker, insurance salesman to name a few, a highway reroute construction forced him to lose his restaurant; he had to relocate.

He never give up and never caved despite the gloom and doom that surrounded his life, instead it made him more desperate for success, and the rest as they say is history. Share this with your team

The best way to convince your PSA not to quit is to empathize with his/her predicament. See the big picture from your affiliate’s perspective. Make use of language that shows you care and help him figure out why nothing comes from his effort and hard work. There is no way that investing time, effort, hard work, patience, perseverance, passion, and money would not produce SFI success.

If you want to have a team of serious affiliates, EA, EA2s, TLs, CSAs, and PRMs, sitting on the sofa is not going to make it happen. Investing in advertising your SFI & TripleClicks gateways and/or buying PSAs is not also going to make it happen. Success in SFI and in life has something to do with the Law of Sowing and Reaping and the Law of Cause and Effect.

What you sow, you reap! You invest time in reading the SFI Basics, LaunchPad Lessons, Ask SC answers, Forum discussions, etc. you gain knowledge and skills. You invest time and effort teaching, guiding, and nurturing your affiliates, you gain quality team members. When you sow negative thoughts, you quit SFI when things are not happening the way you envisioned it to be. When you sow positive thoughts, you will never quit SFI because you believe in the notion, “There is no failure – only feedback.”

SFI success is about sowing and reaping; and quality seeds of knowledge, skills, value, and beliefs when planted and properly nurtured, produces bountiful harvests of EA2s and Team leaders.

So if you quit, it's your loss! The rule of the game is "Never, Never Quit!"

Thanks for the nice question.

On my own idea to be able to stay an affiliate who felt upset and try to opt out
with his/her SFI business I think the sponsor is the one who exert a great effort to
convince that affiliate to stay calm and think twice to her/his decision to quit.

I suggest that....

1.Tell to him/her that there is no business that they will get money in an easy way.
2.exerting effort and hard work is very essential but it's not that mean that they
are paid for just doing that.It needs patience and strategy also to get what you are expected.
3.Don't think immediately about what you are going to earn in your first month because it will distract their focus on to get started their business.
4.They will supposed to be think on how they move forward fast and get the position EA
or BTL to get the benefits.
5.Lastly to avoid thinking about the word "quit" they must have or set a goal which is
they will live on that goal and think on how they will achieve.

I hope that this simple strategy of mine will help you.

Let me begin by saying, this is an "EXTRAORDINARY OPPORTUNITY" for you to test your leadership skills. Plus, you have been afforded a 'true' advantage that in most cases we affiliates don't get, which is an actual headsup on what an individual downline member plans to do. In other words, he/she communicated his/her intent to you!

In this situation, my first instinct would be to find out what that person's "efforts and hard work" actually entails. In other words, is he/she directing his/her "efforts and hard work" in ways that are most likely to bring positive results, or is he/she simply doing the wrong same things over and over again and again, and each time expecting a different result?

My suggestion is, you must find out how this person is going about performing his daily advertising and promoting. Is he/she actually sticking to SFI's marketing methods, training, etc.. And/or what actual methods are he/she using. Of course, it would help if your knowledge base is, at the very least, adequate.
