Should I advise new PSAs to slow down and not qualify as Team Leaders so quickly?

Well, I wouldn't put it exactly that way.

I don't think it's good to tell someone, "don't do this", or "don't do that". Rather, tell them if you do this, then this is what will happen. And if you do that, then that is what will happen. So take your time and think about it, then decide for yourself. Fast is good, Slow and steady is also good. The important thing is consistency.

The best would be to make sure your down line knows how it works. It is easy to become TL in the first month with all the action points available. You can advise them in two categories:
1. If they are financially able to make a standing order worth 1500 points each month. They can go for it from the start.
2. If they struggle to make ends meet at end of the month I would advise to first get a team behind you to make up some action points so that they can reach their TL status with out

This is interesting question. I don't think you should advice them in these lines. The reason is that, as team leaders and Sponsors our task is to encourage them to become a team leader. How fast or slow is their choice. If they want to earn at SFI then they have to work that out themselves. If they want to earn fast they have to work as much if slow then they can take all their time and the runners will be running ahead of them.

I don't think it's up to you to decide for your new PSAs whether they should go all out or take it slow.

The best thing you can do is to inform them of the pros and cons and then leave the decision up to them.

I found that by becoming a Team Leader early on, I had the goal every month to either keep that rank or improve it. This gave me a lot of motivation to work on building my business.

My blind and straight answer for your question is "Yes". With out putting the first step on the floor how can we climb a mountain? Is it possible? When we have a strong foundation for our building, the building will not collapse. Like that with out having much knowledge about SFI, becoming Team Leader that too with out a strong team

Absolutely not!
I feel it is better to embrace their enthusiasm and be available as they have questions and learn the business. If they bring on affiliates early also they can always refer questions to me until they are better educated on the program. If the affiliates have money to invest in SFI and they want to this is, it is wonderful! We just need to be supportive in showing the new team leaders how their investments and position as leaders can benefit them and where to find this information

The answer to your question is Yes and No. I'l share my experience. When your PSA wants to be a Team Leader, i'l advice you that you should give them a chance to prove their leadership skills and to enhance it as their sponsor.
Support also by advising such to get an S builder or PSAs To Go to build their team towards the next qualifying month. 0r you can reassign some of your PSAs to them to help them, thus motivating them more and if they run into any problem, be there to help

Extremely good question that all of us need to ask yourself ???

Of course, each of us has the desire and willingness of its members who is thriving, industrious and painstaking directed towards the top. Yet it is not so good, especially if a new member who wishes forward, not mastered everything that had to be mastered. Leading is a massive time commitment. You will need to be super active if you want to become a good leader.
