If you are not good at approaching people face to face, what are some tips to improve in this area?

Not many people feel comfortable approaching people face to face about a business opportunity. It is mostly the fear of getting a “not interested” reply that makes it so difficult.
Fortunately, when you immerse yourself in a business like SFI, it becomes a lot easier to talk to people about it.
A few suggestions:
1) Get to know all the different aspects of the business as well as how
affiliates benefit. When you know your business and you have confidence in it, it’s much easier to talk to people about it.
2) Spend time doing everything you can to build your business. While doing that you will start earning (even if it’s not a lot in the beginning) and you will start feeling a “natural self-confidence”.
3) As you grow your business you will get more and more excited about it. This will show and when you talk to people about SFI, they will see your enthusiasm. Very few people (especially those who know you) won’t then want to at least find out more.
Wishing you lots of success!

Which is better and why? Promoting SFI and TripleClicks locally and more personally...or globally via the Internet?

Both ways of promoting SFI and TripleClicks should be used, as one is not necessarily better than the other. Each has its own advantages.
When you promote locally you have a better chance of personal contact. A person who has just joined SFI usually relies quite heavily on their sponsor for assistance. If you’re able to meet them in person and guide them through the first few days, they usually have a better chance of success.
Although it takes more of your time initially, it is good for you and them in the long run.
When you promote globally you have access to millions of possible future team members. You might find it challenging to get team members to become and stay active.
However, with modern technology like Skype etc. the world has become very small. It’s very easy to have face-to-face conversations, even if you are continents apart.
Do what suits you best at the time, but don’t limit yourself to one or the other forever.

How important is it that your family embrace your SFI business...and what if they don't?

I’m in the lucky position where those in my family (whose opinion matter), embrace SFI and give me their full support.
That said, even if they did not, I would still build my SFI business.
Why?
Because ultimately, I am the only one responsible for the success or failure of my SFI business.
So, if you are serious about your SFI business and committed to it, let your actions show them what is possible.
Don’t let anybody stand in the way of your dreams!

How do I come up with good content for my weekly newsletters to my team?

You can find so much free (and often very good) information on the internet that it’s sometimes difficult to decide what to write about. I find that following a formula helps a lot.
Intro: Give a brief overview of the past week. Mention team members who did well etc.
Body: Find an interesting and informative article about network/internet marketing and rewrite it.
Or
Use this tip from Ask SC: Write a good answer to an interesting question and put that in your newsletter
Conclusion: Ask for input and suggestions. Wish your team members the best for the coming week. I also like to add a motivational quote.
All the best!

What's the best way to communicate with your downline?

As SFI affiliates we are privileged to have quite a few options available to communicate with members in our downlines.
I don’t really know which I would describe as “the best way” as I use all of them.
If you want to reach your whole downline with a single communication you can :
1) Send a weekly newsletter using the Genealogy Group Mailer. It is quick and you know they receive it on their regular email as well as in the SFI Message Manager.
2) Post stream messages.
If you want to communicate with individual downline members you can:
1) Send an e-card
2) Have conversations via the chat system. In real time when you are both online, or by leaving and reading messages.

Should I prospect people to become affiliates only from my own country...or from everywhere?
Marlene Roberson, Aff (Uruguay)

You will be doing yourself a big disservice if you only prospect people from your own country.
Having affiliates from your country can help you in that they are easier to reach and communicate with. However, there is no guarantee that people from your country will be active and productive team members.
If you build a team with people from everywhere, you have people who can help you understand different countries & cultures better.
You can also cultivate team leaders from different countries to help new affiliates (from their country) find their feet.

How do you know if you are capable of building a successful SFI business?
Affiliate since: 07/02/2024, Power Rank: 99999999
Unfortunately being capable of doing something does not guarantee success. As far as I'm concerned anybody is capable of building a successful SFI business as long as they are willing too :-)
To build a successful SFI business you must:
1) commit and work on your business daily
2) read and learn
3) invest time and money
4) be patient
5) build a team and support them through thick and thin
Wishing you lots of success & a successful SFI business!

I love that SFI:
Is a well-established, honest and reliable company.
Offers EVERYBODY, regardless of race, language, location, age or gender, the opportunity to build an online business.
Is managed by an exceptional leader and a team of people who really care about others and always have the best interests of affiliates in mind.
Provides excellent training, so even people who are totally new to internet marketing can be successful.
Supplies support, marketing materials and everything required to build a great business.
Keeps on growing and offering new and exciting ways to build our businesses and earn even more.
Lets me be part of a global, like-minded family!

Creating my own SFI co-op...or starting a blog about SFI...which will provide the most value?

Affiliate since: 07/02/2024, Power Rank: 99999999
Personally I have done both and it’s been working very well for me and my team.
First, I invested in a SFI website with blog features. I then started a co-op for my active team members.
When I advertise I send people to the website where they can get all the information they need about SFI and TripleClicks.
I use the co-op link on the blog for people who are interested to sign up. This way new PSA’s get allocated to team members fairly.
I don't worry much about which provide the most value, as using them together, my team and I all benefit.

I want to recruit only SERIOUS affiliates. What should I tell prospects about SFI to ensure this?

Soon after joining SFI I realized that it’s possible to build a massive team if you’re happy that most of them are inactive.
Because having a massive, inactive team can’t grow my business, I decided I would rather recruit serious affiliates. It might take longer to build my team, but in the end it is worth it.
I still have many PSA’s from shortly after I joined SFI who are totally inactive …
But,
I now have 4 PSA’s who are doing very well (all 4 have been team leaders for 2+ months) and this is how I recruited them:
Firstly, I told them right off the bat that I needed people who want to build a business, not a hobby. People who are realistic and know it takes time to build a solid online business.
I told them about the Fast Track and Standing Order and how much investment they would have to make. I also stressed that it is very important to be willing and able to spend time and some money growing their business.
When they joined SFI they were ready and accepted that they had to get on the Fast Track, get a SO etc. They knew that although it was free to join, they would have to invest time and money. In other words, there were no surprises.
I think that by letting people know about the time and money they have to invest before they join, you will ensure more serious & active affiliates.
Good luck!
