It's a very lovely idea, but in time, your team will grow enough that you will become overwhelmed with details.

Whenever you set up welcome letters, etc., try to make it sound personal without actually using their name. Talk in your communiques as though the person was sitting across from you. Suggest beginning things for them to do that will help them overcome their initial "shyness" with the website. Remember that SFI will also be sending mail to them, you don't want to fill their email unnecessarily.

Always, let them know you are available (email, chat, whatever works best for you) to help them with any questions they may have.

Use e-cards, too, that is a good way to send a quick tip, or encouragement!

The idea is very bright and good.

Individual letter is a must. It should be preceded by a Welcome - E Card.

Personalized welcome letter will create a warm and friendly climate for the new member to feel assured. This will motivate him to communicate back.

First impression is the best impression. Our communication should not be " mechanical " just speaking about "Do this and Don't do that" will only make the new affiliate skeptical. Worst - he may decide to quit sooner than one imagines.

The initial communication should just congratulate him for joining SFI Business as an Independent Contractor. It can welcome him to your Team making him feel your deep joy in having him in your Team.

Then, your letter can highlight your commitment to support him so that every one can grow step by step, together continuously.

When our intention is right, naturally the execution will also be right.

A open minded communication with a genuine and honest feeling towards the other person's well being and growth will certainly open the heart of the other person. You will be able to develop a good rapport soon which will blossom into a fine bonding in future.

Conclusion:

I would say, YES!! Its worthwhile to create individual, personalized welcome letters to new PSAs using information from their Affiliate Profile. At the same time, do remember, we do not know how many of them would have filled their Profile Page. But, still it's a good attempt.

It is very much worthwhile to engage with our new PSAs on a personal level to make them feel welcome, appreciated and motivated.

A. Personalized welcome messages and e-Cards will go a long way in creating that fuzzy feeling which will draw a new sign-up to log-in again, explore the business further, start working, or ask questions if needs be.

When I am expecting new sign-ups, I like to watch both my email notifications and my SFI Affiliate Center for new messages announcing of sign-ups.

Often, I catch the new affiliate still online and I send them an SFI IM to welcome them and to draw their attention to an upcoming email with tips to help them navigate SFI and progress rapidly.

B. Sometimes though, it is not always possible to send such personalized communications
When we are getting large numbers of sign-ups, often more than 10 at the same time, within few minutes, it may be very difficult to give that personal touch.

As your question points out, we want to make an effort to know the affiliate at a personal level and use our knowledge to make him/her feel welcome.

The first obstacle is that in some cases, we do not have that much personal information in the new affiliate's profile.

The second obstacle is the lack of time, especially when we are dealing with large numbers of PSAs. In such circumstances, I choose to be selective, piking up only those affiliate who have show some form an tangible interest, such as (i) confirming their emails, (ii) score a thresh-hold of actions points, and or (iii) sending me their profiles. For those I like to make a special effort to send both an e-Card and a personalized message, drawing on their personal information as well as tips based on their first activity.

C. For the remainder, those new sign-ups who have had no activity, or who have not confirmed their emails, it might bewiser and a better use of our time to limit ourselves to a Team mail message, sent to all those who registered that same day.

We can select them easily though our Genealogy filters

D. For this latter group of new sign-ups, we will be well advised to keep in mind an SFI sponsoring "Golden Rule": Work with those who work"

It may not be very beneficial to spend too much time going through a profile that has little data and of an affiliate who is not showing any kind of activity which might demonstrate their interest.

When we follow these guidelines, we will likely build excellent working relationships with our new affiliates who show some level of eagerness without too much wasting our time.

Hello Everyone,

I think that there is nothing wrong with using the PSA Greeting format to welcome your new PSAs.

When you see them working on-line, (by checking your Movers tab), you can always send them a Chat or an E-mail and do a more personalized Welcome.

The reason I say this is because, let's say you just started a new ad campaign, and it is giving you a great response and you have just received 25 new PSAs on your first day of advertising. The second day, you more than doubled the amount of new sign ups.

Now, if you take the time to address each one individually, you will be consuming more time sending welcome letters than you will be able to handle and will be losing more time doing advertising or other important things that you need to do to build up your business.

Keep in mind also, that not all new PSAs that sign up, will begin to start working their new business. They might just browse through the SFI site to see what it is all about and than leave.

There is nothing wrong with doing and using Time Management Tools. Take advantage of the tools available. So you can just keep on moving forward.

A good leader is prepared.

I recommend you have a pre-prepared Welcome letters, Profile and Commitment letters ready to go.
I would send the appropriate letter for each circumstance.
I think personalizing any communication that is direct one on one
is a great idea.

Group Emails will only require your general acknowledgements.

If you have a prepared Welcome Email and you have just one or a few sign ups
that day, I think it is good to send personal welcome Emails.

Maybe an exhuberate ECard welcome, followed by your personal letter.

Use the initial Profile info provided to help personalize your letter.
For example, use where they are from, their nationality, language preference, etc.
to help make your letter familiar and friendly.

You want to develop a one on one relationship with your Active PSA's.
Being personal and professional is the best way to start a solid relationship
with your new recruit PSAs.

Ideally, yes…that must be the nice way of treating someone that is capable of helping your business grow. I mean if you are that idealistic, it’s really worth doing.

But we should be realistic here, with the numbers of PSA (we acquire from the executive pool share) that means a lot of working hours not to mention the PSA you got in your co-op (if you subscribe of a certain group). You could just imagine making individual welcome letter for 20 to 50 individuals.

And besides it’s not practical even if you have all the time in the world. You can make individual welcome letter or any inspiring message for that matter to the PSA’s that you’ve personally known. To those PSA that you really invited personally, individual personalized welcome letters can be worthwhile.

Instead reserve your letter for the workers, to remind, inspiring, or even complementing them for a job well done. These affiliates is worthy of such nice act and your efforts will be worthwhile. Welcome letters will be practical and effective if you can make a template and be sure to have a content that is applicable for all or in general the content must be informative and precise.

Absolutely, I think you can create one standard Welcome! letter and tweak it to the individual based on their profile. This way it feels more personalized and you feel more relatable. I personally believe it makes the person feel like you are really there for them and accessible, and they are not just another number.

I try to look at my downline's VP ledger and make suggestions about how I think they can be more successful, and of course congratulate them on any success to date. Dear Sharon,

Actually as a sponsor and a leader, we have been given a chance to set up a prewritten welcome letter to be viewed by any new affiliates right after their signups. Anyway, after receiving a letter of notification about new PSA signup by SFI, we can send him/her our personal welcome message in a form of email or greeting card. It’s up to us.

I prefer ecard to email because of a picture associated with the ecard. We have a chance to be more personal because some affiliates usually complete their Affiliate Profiles. But still there are few who just signed up but did not complete their Profiles. I have quite a number who did so. What we can do to tackle this case is by reminding them in a teammail sent.

To be more personal by using information from the Affiliate Profiles is even much better and worthwhile. The affiliates will feel more closed to us as we address and relate SFI business to them in a personal perspective. A communication gap can be reduced if the sponsor also introduce himself/herself and mention a little bit about his/her background, experience and sweat and struggle for success. Hopefully they will do a duplication.

As we all know, whatever information we have about our affiliates, use them to the maximum in a positive way for the good of both sides. Each of our affiliates has different background and capabilities. Use the profile to enhance an effectiveness of personalized communication to create leaders among them.

First, we need to remember that welcome letters are sent to Affiliates immediately we receive notification of their sign up. Most of the times the Affiliates would not have completed their Affiliate profile. For an average Affiliate you need to guide them to even complete the Affiliate Profile. Thus, there is need to have a pre-written general welcome letter for our affiliates.

However, the information provided in Affiliate Profile when well completed is a wealth of information about the background, mindset and ambition of the Affiliate especially at the point of joining the opportunity.

Therefore, it is good to look into details about their background on internet marketing, leadership qualities, willingness to spend on their new business or not, what they thing is most important to their success in SFI - is it Training, Money or Prospects etc. We could then write them another welcome or tip letter to address how we may help or offer tips, training or guidance to get them get started.

Successfully utilizing of Affiliate Profile information would definitely help the Sponsor give requisite support to kick start activity and enthusiasm of the new Affiliate.
