I have to admit that there are truly those Team Leaders that know how to motivate their PSA’s to remain active. I think that experience and knowledge have a lot to do with it, as well as devotion and investments.
The first, and most important is YOU. You need to make an example of yourself. You need to make your members wish they were like you so that they will follow your lead. So ask yourself- what is your biggest value, what is the thing that differs you from other people- and present that personal feature to your members. Also, always present yourself as successful and put together. You may not be earning as much, but you should present yourself as organized and passionate about this business. It wouldn’t heart to maintain a polished image of yourself when you share information about yourself on social media. So, you may not be rich, but you should as well be neat, put together, devoted. Let’s face it- most of us don’t get dressed for office when working from home. But that doesn’t mean your members should see you wearing rags when you are chatting via Skype, for example. So, a bit of that “Selfie” approach wouldn’t heart because you wish to become someone other people with imitate. Don’t be afraid to invest a bit into self-presentation.
The answer to your question also lays in motivation of your affiliates to expand their downline and maintain their leadership status. That means educating them until they grow enough knowledge and skills to further motivate their members into meeting minimum EA requirements every month.
First of all, you have to be very careful about the way you present SFI to your members. At first, they will not fully understand everything and they will rely on your perception of it. If you present SFI in a confusing, too detailed and overwhelming way or you neglect your affiliates they will give up. And this is the “X-factor” of team leadership that I feel is the best kept secret. So invest some time in learning how to present SFI properly.
Second part is a lot of time and money investment it takes to create Team Leaders in your network. At the beginning, they will need help in maintaining EA status, than in building active networks, advertising etc. You will have to keep in touch with all your downline frequently, set up contests, award gift certificates and many more to keep your members motivated- because starting from scratch for a beginner in network marketing is all but easy.
Still, your PSA’s personal qualities are what determines his/hers success. Will they be persistent enough, will they follow your instructions? Will they know how to make best use of your help? At the end of the day, it’s all up to them. Or is it? Maybe there is a lot in their initial subliminal image of SFI and the future it can bring them.
