First you have the satisfaction that you managed properly and instruct a member SFI using firstly duplication to reach this status, your messages were clear and easy to understand. The answer to this question could be very lengthy. The basic idea however is very simple. We all want to make a lot of money - and we can make more by getting others to help us than to do it by ourselves. The beauty of a business like SFI is that the structure allows for you to have many affiliates doing work from which you can profit. Getting those affiliates to the point of making money takes effort on your part and if we are talking about a lot of affiliates, then we are talking about of lot of work (too much work) for you. The answer to this is to take a few affiliates and assist them in becoming leaders who teach others, and so on. That way everybody profits and does so without being overworked.

As far as I see it, the question is not so much really about having team members to TAKE ON leadership role, as much as it is about the fact that it is IMPERATIVE upon them to TAKE UP leadership role, if they want to succeed in sfi by personally recruiting affiliates into their team.
If you study the workings of sfi, you will find that the fastest way to succeed in sfi is to personally introduce more affiliates into your team. People, who have a great desire to earn more money, so that they can improve their way of life. Such are the once who will want to know what they should do to achieve their aim.
This is where the team member comes in. He should TAKE UP the responsibility of quickly helping them to know what and what they should do, and should be doing daily to achieve their aim. This simple act of teaching them to know their way is what is called LEADERSHIP ROLE. It should be a strong and dedicated desire by the team member, because when he does his best for these affiliates to succeed, he succeeds as well. You realize, therefore, that this is a win-win situation which team members MUST NEVER take lightly; and this is why it is IMPERATIVE upon them to do so.

In my opinion, having team members to take on leadership roles is so important because it is the key of success in SFI. This is what DUPLICATION is all about. Imagine you have five Team Leaders in your team. You + five TLs is an equivalent of being in six different places at the same time, doing six businesses at the same time. If you want to become BTL you will need 3000 VP, but you have to make at least 1000 action versa points. You can make 2000VP from sales without lot efforts (SO or games or you will sell some products). But actions VP are tricky. And you need to have team members to achieve that. You should abet your team members to accomplish that task too. You should help them about marketing and ads. More team members more money for everyone.
For you as a serious business builder you will see very early on that becoming EA or higher and remaining EA or higher every month is the first step in your eventual success.

The second level of commitment is where the employee takes an interest in the company beyond receiving a paycheck, and this is when a personal investment is made.
