Hi Mary
Both have value in it's own way , but the question is which audience you want to attract?.
Mainly creating your co op is great to attract your team members once they joined you to help and speed up their business grow process and in the mean time you can blog about SFI to further teach them more in-depth about the business aspect.
But now the difference is if you start your own co op for the general public for or about SFI, if those prospects are not in this kind of business don’t know what it means and what it can do for them.
But blogging about SFI to the general public give them the insight to start a new business and it also help you on the way, if you blog continuously in a daily or weekly bases in different topics to rank you number 1 in search engine optimizer to put you in the first page of Google.
My own blogging purpose is geared toward that way even if I also blog to my team members at least once or twice a week just to teach them about different method of marketing.
As far as I know the blogs I made to my SFI team members stays in the circle, so in addition to that I blog on Face Book and other media outlets to reach the masses.
If your intention is for that purpose I would say you will benefit more in the long run
By blogging especially when you have the tool to spread it to the whole world.
Once you got them in, then your SFI co op will do the magic.
