This is really an important issue. If we take into account that we have to attract as many people as possible and make them familiar with SFI, and, once attracted, try to convince them that SFI is the right business for all the committed ones, I would suggest that both SFI co-op and a blog about SFI are equally important and can provide remarkable boost to the business.

Co-op is important because Personally Sponsored Affiliates (PSAs), Co-Sponsored Affiliates (CSAs), and/or any affiliates in your downline can participate and thus boost both their and your own business. Advantages are numerous, and the Support Desk provides all information needed. All you should know about them, from creation to management, is listed there. All you should do is there for you to use,and you should simply follow the instructions.

On the other hand, a well designed and well written blog about SFI is an excellent way to promote the business and provide up-to-date information about everything concerning SFI and TripleClicks. Using codes from Marketing Aids, the blog can be furnished with links leading to everything that might attract attention of potential PSAs. Blogs are great for advertising - although there are sites which block direct links to SFI, no blog address has ever been blocked or rejected. I strongly recommend a dedicated and updated blog for advertising.

To sum up, start a blog to attract new members, and then create your own co-op to develop your business.

I have mixed feelings about each of these choices, whether an SFI Co-op or a blog about SFI has more value.

Both have good points and bad points and in the end, the scale balances just about equally for both choices.

1. Creating Your Own SFI Co-op:

Good Point: A co-op is a great way to reward and support your team members!

Bad Point: Finding a source to provide ACTIVE recruits. There are several dependable services that do provide "sign-ups", but I have not yet found one that provides any respectable number of ACTIVE sign-ups.

2. Starting a Blog About SFI:

Good Point: Starting and maintaining a blog focused on SFI is a great way to build interest, attract potential affiliates, and qualify the serious ones. The biggest challenge you will face with a blog is getting a steady stream of traffic.

Bad Point: In my experience with a variety of recruiting methods, including blogging, most prospects will not sign up for SFI and of those who do, most will not get active or stay active in SFI. Most people are looking for "the easy way" that does not require expense or effort on their part. Most who do join SFI eventually get drawn away to other opportunities where the promoters are skilled at making promises that they cannot deliver on, like "It's easy!" and "Everything is done for you!"

There is no program available that is like that. If it was easy, they wouldn't need you!

So, bottom line to your question about which is better, a blog or a co-op, I say they are equal in their challenges and equal in the results they will produce ... so ... the BEST thing to do is do BOTH!

Why not set up both...I love SBuilder...it is so easy and constant..

I love to blog, so get a wordpress blog for FREE, and connect it to your FORUM news, and everyday make a blog about SFI/TC...it is so easy when you do it that way through wordpress.

Then go to TC and buy some hits, I got 400 for under $5.00 and they are appearing on my tracker as true ppl, not bots.....someone will sign up!

Get yourself a couple of SBuilders and let them roll in, if they work fine, if they don't, YOU keep working...perseverance is the key to surviving in this business...do not become discouraged, as Rome was not built in a day and neither will your business.

It (SFI) is here for the duration, but you must keep yourself motivated, and how you do that is by finding way to increase your downline by finding new ways to present (market) your wares without being a salesman.....Change your Mindset!

You can create a co-op, perhaps through the S-Builder Co-op, and reward your hard-working team members with shares in it.

Use your blog to create helpful articles to help your team grow their own SFI business. In time, as your blog generates signups, through your gateway links placed in it, you could use these as your own co-op, alongside or instead of the SFI S-Builder Co-op.

e.g. Place a keycode in your gateway links on your blog e.g. http://www.sfi4.com/YOUR-SFI-ID.xxx/FREE where xxx is the tracking keycode you use. Then in your SFI Co-op Manager (https://www.sfimg.com/PowerTools/TLCoop), set up a new co-op. Under co-op source, select Your Gateway Site and insert that keycode number in the box there.

As people sign up to SFI through your blog, they will be automatically given to your team members you have included in the coop, in the rotation you choose, by number of shares or number of signups. Also, the signups you generate from your blog will have the benefit that they have already read about SFI, so have a good idea what to expect from the program.

Encourage your team members to interact on your blog, by liking and commenting on your articles, as this will help it to rank higher with the search engines.

Which one provides the best value will depend on what your goals are - are you after PSAs, ECA, sales and within what time frame? How much time and funds are you going to invest?

The SFI co-ops tend to be for shorter terms. You can set up the co-op fairly quickly and then
wait for results which you go on attending to other aspects of your business. These can also be cheaply funded depending on how many of your team members participate and contribute financially. The returns I find are fairly steady.

A blog can be set up at no financial cost at all and you have to regularly keep it up to date with relevant and interesting content. You also have to promote the blog. Blogs can be very effective and are of great value but it can take a fair while before it can start producing results.

I would say that if you enjoy blogging - keep at it, turning your hobby into a money making avenue. If you cant keep it up to date, don't bother as outdated blogs can be a turnoff and you will not have followers/subscribers.

While co-ops and blogs are good ways of promoting/advertising SFI, taking into account the time and financial investment involved and the returns, I would say that co-ops provide the most value.

Both creating one's own Co-op and starting a blog about the SFI has its own advantages and disadvantages with both having almost same value, maybe a little difference in degrees only.

Whenever one creates his own SFI Co-op, initially he should have at-least hundreds of active PSAs and CSAs and then they all must be encouraged to contribute to the Co-op fund. Umpteen number of questions and queries would be raised, initially one may have to face lots and lots of opposition, but one has to be very tolerant and patient to all these things and go forward and do the things as he likes. As and when adequate funds have accumulated, then one should look for a cheap and best advertisement website which has a wide and far reach and engage it for his advertisement purpose. Then one has to wait for certain pre-supposed period of time, watch regularly the number of visitors and the gauge the rate of success of one's advertisement with regards to any of his gateways.

All this takes a lots and lots of time, efforts, labor and patience or tolerance to take a concrete shape to prove to be successful effort and needs lots of will-power and courage, apart from possessing technical knowledge to do it.

On the other hand, if one is starting his own blog about any of his gateway belonging to SFI, he has to initially visit either paid or free website like weebly and start constructing his own blog beautifully and attractively plus convey his message to a number of visitors with a appropriate link provided by way of his gateway. Hi Mary,

To answer your question: “Creating my own SFI co-op...or starting a blog about SFI...which will provide the most value?”, I would like to first think about the kind of things you like to do.
Are you comfortable writing every day about a specific topic? How about writing every other day?
Do you have the time and commitment to write an article with good content to provide a valuable blog that others refer to?
If you answered no to any of the previous questions or to more than one, I think blogging is not going to be a good idea for you. You can still hire some freelancer to do the job, but it will not be your own creation.

On the other hand, creating a co-op, is not so hard, there are plenty of places to set up advertisements, and by creating a team advertisement you can share in the results and best of all you will share the expenses with the team. So everyone wins, or it seems that’s what happens.

Now for the second part of the question, which will provide more value. My question is, for whom?

A blog provides a lot of value to everyone that reads it, if the content is of good quality and is regularly updated. If the blog is not very popular, then it doesn’t provide such a high quality value.

The co-op can be of good value for the team if it is bought from a place where the new referrals are explained what they are joining and not just signing up for something they don’t care about.

Here is my solution for providing good value for team members and for new affiliates:
Create a team blog. Create a forum inside the blog or use a free forum linked from your blog.
Yes, this way you can all create great value content and also promote the blog, if everyone joins from the blog, people in the team will benefit from the content and from the new signups. And the new referrals will know what they are headed for, and who will be part of their team to help.

Won’t it be nicer to join a well-established team?

Wouldn’t it be nicer if you knew you have a whole team backing you up and ready to help?

For me, I prefer a co-op as long as you have done your home work well.

Creating a blog is cool but the hard part is keeping your blog fresh all the time in order to keep the right crowd coming to your blog, which may in turn lead to those quality sign-ups. If you could get a professional writer, maybe that could work but you have to still get your blog out there in order for the internet community to know what you've got. Both the services of a writer and your advertising will cost money too.

However, a co-op has the advantage of connecting with the professionals and gurus in web traffic management in bringing that desired result you require. Yes, it may cost some money sometimes (there are also ways to get free traffic too) or a fortune sometimes but you are sure of constant traffic and since SFI is a numbers game, you need as much traffic as you can get as your diamond may be in the midst of all those hay coming in.

Meanwhile, if I had to advise, i would say you should begin with co-ops first and then when you've built a wealth of experience in this business, you could go all out and begin a blog which would surely be filled with your experience and skills in succeeding in the SFI opportunity. Just a little proofreading would be needed and little advertising too. With quality blogs, you will deal with real people who want to do things the way you did it. With time, you will be getting active sign-ups and would only need to keep the blog fresh with quality articles to keep attracting the real bees.

Creating your own co-op can generate quite a number of sign-ups. I can certainly vouch for this, so go ahead and give it a try (and school them on duplication right away, while you're at it).

Starting a blog is also a great way to get SFI out there to those who are curious about going into business for themselves. Make your posts witty and clever for your affiliates and readers. You might even get some new prospects down the line.

Content is King when it comes to writing/blogging so keep your blog posts short, and helpful if that's what it takes to write something worth reading. I personally don't like a lot of videos and pictures. I like something worth reading and that is becoming incredibly difficult to come by nowadays and I have started writing on Hub Pages as well as my two blogs and I am now finding more literature worth reading! It pays to never ever give up!
