MY GATEWAYS -All SFI affiliates are assigned their own unique SFI Gateway Website(s) for promoting their businesses.your gateway should look like this http://www.sfi4.com12345678/FREE. 12345678 refers to your SFI ID.

KEY CODES -When advertising it is in your best interest to use Key Codes, they tell you which ad's are bringing in the most or least hits. Use numbers at the end of your gateway link http://www.sfi4.com12345678/101/free The 101 is your key code.
NOTE: You can choose any number for your ad-based Key Codes, EXCEPT the following codes currently reserved for SFI corporate use:

1101 for affiliates from S-Builder.
1104 for PSAs To Go/PSAs won at Auctions
1200 for affiliates who were not referred to SFI by anyone.
1300 for TripleClicks members via the TC Tell-A-Friend feature.

HIT TRACKING -the tools provided by SFI make marketing easy . If ,you keep track of the Key Codes used SFI provides you with the number of hits for each code.

You must keep notes on WHAT Key Codes were used and WHERE they were used because SFI only provides you with the number of hits each Key Code received.You can use the same Gateway link in different ways for example classifieds, flyers , blogs, use three different Key Codes on the same Gateway link. Hi, This is a great question for SFI newbies as tracking your SFI links with codes can play an important role in your advertising efforts.

Tracking your SFI gateways with codes is very easy to do but must be monitored weekly for successful results.

Once I discover a particular gateway code thats get better response then I mass advertise that link for maximum potential results.

Let me explain, As each Sunday your HIT TRACKING is reset in your Power Tools Menu, you must ensure you write down your code results for each gateways used before it's reset.

Example. www.sfi1.biz/123456.77
By adding a decimal point with a number (eg.77) after your Id number this then become your tracking CODE for that SFI link. Each SFI link I promote has a separate code attached so I can monitor its results in my weekly hit tracking.

There are many ways to track your links, but I prefer using SFI as I can create as many codes I require each week and can check them daily while working on my SFI business.

The best way to track your ads to know which one are providing best results/better conversion is add a key code in the link.
For example, if you have two blogs and you want to know from which of them you get more hits just place two different key codes in those links associated with each blogs.
For the first blog:

For best results, you can use different key codes in your Gateway links. Do not use key codes which SFI has customized to avoid confusion. I find that the best way for me to track my ads are to use key codes and than create a list of websites you're advertising on with the key code you're using on each website. You need a different key code for each separate website.
Now use the hit tracker and keep track of the hits on each site although if you're getting lots of traffic and no sign ups it still isn't what you want. SFI will email you every time you have a sign up and they always include your key code in the email.

My favorite method is using SFI 's Prestige Lifetime Domain Manager. I saved up my MRP and purchased it from the rewards tab in TripleClicks. Now I have five URL'S that lead to my gateways of choice and they all have key codes included since you can set it up that way if you choose. It's so awesome!!!

I find the SFI Hit Tracker quite adequate for tracking my ads.

With the hit tracker, I can see which ads are getting hits and which advertising avenue give me best results. I use the tracker for both online and offline advertising.

For each ad I compose or use, I assign to it a unique number and I record this number on a spreadsheet. The ad can be a text message, banner, email, flyer, etc..

I advertise at specific sites – Classified, Submitters, Social Sites. Each site is allocated a unique number and is recorded as per the ads.

When I post an ad, say in FaceBook, I would enter in the link after my SFI ID the FaceBook ‘site code’ (22) and the ‘ad code’ (15) for that particular ad. My link will look something like this http://www.sfi4.com/XXXXXXX.2215/FREE

If I get a hit and later when I check the SFI Tracker, I see the code combination of 2215, that’s confirmation that someone at FaceBook viewed that ad. If it results in a conversion, e.g. someone signing up to SFI, that’s fantastic and obviously I am going to run that ad again at FaceBook.

This is for ad tracking but you can also use it in a similar way for tracking the effectiveness of any advertising campaign you run.

If you are starting out in advertising, you will most likely write many ads and use many advertising avenues. Check the hit tracker regularly and narrow down your activities to those ads and sites that give you results and focus on those. Be aware though that new advertising avenues and sites come online all the time and other sites lose their momentum/status/effectiveness, so always be alert and test our new avenues.

Tracking your advertising responses are very important for your successful marketing. You can track your advertising responses with the help of Key Codes.
You can add your own Key Codes to your SFI ID with in your Gateway Links (for example: http://www.sfi1.biz/SFIID.347 or http://www.sfi4.com/SFIID.347/FREE)

SFI captures these codes automatically and shows them in the notification or in genealogy under the column “KC” for your PSAs and PRMs and so you can track the advertising source.

So this helps you to know from which source of advertising your results are coming and which particulars advertisements are working for you.
You need to maintain a list of all the key codes you are using in a diary or in a folder in your Personal Computer in a safe place for easy reference.

This is an excellent question. It is necessary to track your ads in order to see which are producing the best results. When you know which ads work the best for you, you have the opportunity to tweak them, a little at a time, and continually make them better and more effective.

SFI has excellent tools available for this. When you use Key Codes with your gateways, you can track how many hits each ad is getting.

Make sure you KEEP TRACK of what key codes are assigned to each ad. You can use a simple spreadsheet program to do this. You can also see how many hits each ad is producing through the Hit Tracking feature. Both the Hit Tracking and Key Code info is under "Power Tools" on the black ribbon menu. Be sure to check your Hit Tracking on Saturdays and record them, because the hit counters are re-set Saturday night for the following week.

You asked an excellent question, but I am going to go a little further. What do you do with this information? Of course, it is good to know which ads are producing results for you, so you can continue to use them. And to know which ads are not producing any results - so you can stop wasting your time with them!

However, a key lesson here is to take this information and use it to make your ads BETTER. You can take your best ads and do split-testing. Use the original ad, and a very similar ad that has been tweaked a little. Does the new ad do better? Pick the better of them, and tweak it again. This way, you are continually improving your ads, and you will be able to attract QUALITY affiliates who are more interested in joining your team and building a viable business.

To be honest about answering this question I would have to suggest you will need to acquire a good auto-responder service. During my activities with on-line marketing companies I have used auto-responders in the past.

You cannot beat the information that is provided by a good auto-responder service. The problem is they are a little costly - and the free auto-responder services want to keep your leads and you get to mail them according to their set rules.

I cannot recommend a brand name auto-responder to you because of the rules in ASK SC but I will say a paid service is much better than any free ones. So if you need the free service tracker then I would suggest you use the Hit Tracking system provided by SFI.

To use the Hit Tracking power tool you need to be using “key codes” at the end of your URL that you are using – you can find the instructions for inserting your key codes here:

You must remember that every Sunday SFI must reset the Hit Trackers so you will need to check you results during Saturday.

This system does work good for letting you know how many hits your URLs are receiving. What you will need to consider is the “CTR” (Click Through Rate). Thousands of hits with no sign ups is not a good ad site.

When you run into a good site you will receive maybe fewer hits but more sign-ups. Your objective is to find where you are getting a fair amount of hits with at least 2% to 4% conversions (sign-ups).

There are a lot of variables that can affect your CTR. Take into consideration; time of day, what day of the week, during what part of the month, during what month. Also need to consider where your ads are being placed.

Tweek and tweek and tweek your ads until you start getting good results on your Hit Tracker.
