My answer to you is BOTH are great goals and should be part of your daily business activities.

First...You should sponsor a lot of new PSAs every year because this is network marketing...and it is a numbers game! The more people you sponsor, the greater the number of future EAs you will find. People come and go because "life happens". You may have an EA who stops working for months and you will need someone to fill that spot so that you can maintain your residual income.

Second...You should teach EAs to develop EAs themselves. This is how we make money. If your EAs don't make money, they will not continue working. They need to develop a strong team for themselves, just as you need to do for yourself, so that all of you can create a residual income that will last all of you a lifetime! Isn't that why we joined this great company?

Dear Friend,

Having and maintaining hundreds and thousands of inactive and obsolete soldiers is an absolute and futile exercise than having a very few more active and successful ones.

By having said that an active and successful PSA can give you enormous success than the hundreds of inactive ones do. If you can concentrate on such active ones and make them more successful, then your income and success in the system will be manifold.

If you ask me, giving more attention on inactive PSAs will be a more time consuming effort without anything to expect in return. I am not telling you to completely neglect the inactive ones but to give only a small amount of your precious time with the hope of making them active again.

An active PSA can bring not only the success and income for you but also they will be eager to learn more activities and ideas in the system to become more successful. I am sure, they will emulate the same strategy and ideas in developing their own active team at a later date.

Hence, it is really important to spend more of your time in investing on active ones than on an inactive lot to lose the race altogether.

Because of the structure of the compensation plan I would say it is much better to be teaching your EAs (Executive Affiliates) how to help their PSAs (Personally Sponsored Affiliates) become EA2s.

This will help you build a much more solid base for your personal SFI and TripleClicks home business.

Look at it this way – If you sponsor 100s of affiliates how are you going to find the time to work with those who decide to take massive action within your group. It is true that you need the “numbers” to find the workers but at the same time you need to teach and be an example on how duplication works.

If your teammates see that you as their leader must sponsor 100s of affiliates every year that might be enough of a downer to keep them from ever trying. But if you can show them a system that will get them even one worker a month you would have an excited growing down-line.

My personal goal has been to attempt to sponsor/enroll or purchase up to 25 or more affiliates every month which I have been able to do for over the last 6 months. But that isn’t working at the level I would want it to be.

I am at this time trying to change my advertising enough to get rid of the tire kickers and the curiosity seekers. If we as sponsors learn to have higher quality sign-ups then we would not even think about sponsoring 100s of new affiliates every month.

I would rather acquire 4 or 5 active affiliates a month instead of trying for 25 or 30 affiliates not knowing if they will be active or not.

There is a small problem with pre-qualifying your sign-ups that is it will take a lot more advertising in the right places and it will take more time with much fewer responses. And if you do not have that kind of time then by all means play the numbers game and go for massive sign-ups during the year.

In a nut shell my new “sponsoring” goal is to acquire at least one worker a month and then put all my energies into helping that one worker become an EA2. When I can see that my EA2 is now working with his own PSAs then it is time for me to acquire just one more worker.

You see a building is built 1 brick at a time. If you were to purchase a 1000 used bricks to build a shed with you will have to go through a huge pile of broken and cracked bricks before you can find a good one to start the foundation with.

But if you had brand new bricks to build with you would not need to sort through any rubbish and you could build your shed much faster and it would be stronger.

As sponsors and leaders we need to be teaching our down-lines how to acquire “pre-qualified” affiliates. If we were doing that the majority of our down-lines would be workers and isn’t that that what we all want?

It would be desirable to keep your house in order in the first instance. Even a thousand miles journey starts with single step. In businesses such as these we always start in trickle. I mean we will be adding PSAs SLOWLY. Therefore to start with you first train the few affiliates with you in correct way. The advantage with this method is
a) 1. Only in early stages of business where we have ample time, we choose the affiliates and train them up well, so that when slowly the group is growing, you can put a few of these well-trained and dedicated people TO DEVELOP THE TEAM.
2 They will be your second line-leaders and they help you in laying solid foundation to the business (of you and theirs) AS ALSO ASSISTING YOU IN DEVELOPING THE BUSINESS ON RIGHT LINES.
3 Here you can ensure quality and as the time advances, with the quantity growing you can ensure meaningfully quality also. You are not leaving things to chance and the team will be to your desired look of your 'mark' on the team.

b) Coming to the second alternative: You will be concentrating on PSAs for increasing your performance and improving the income. Your entire attention is towards numbers. Though you want, you will not be able to train up your affiliates. As a result group increases, but here performance and quality is the casuality. We cannot expect all the people joining us have the same attitude towards quality. Where there are people doing thing meticulously. They do,, others will not be able to do that better. Given the circumstances, these type of people are more. This has long term negative consequences on you and your groups performance. By the time we look back and try to correct things, the damage will have already taken place.

My limited experience at SFI against my accomplished experience in analysis necessitates a basic look into human thought.

Its fine sponsoring 100s of PSAs. But do you have it in you to boost the morale and keep each of them feel exclusive. Are you upto allocating time to each of them. Team Mails are fine and hunky-dory, but will they serve your purpose? That is the question. It is not an easy job to keep track of the pathway of each PSA. Unless, unless, one has a foolproof system in place to track and grade each of the PSAs.
It all boils down to personal touch.

Developing EAs is cost-effective and very rewarding, in the long run. It is like "One in hand is better than two in the bush". EAs are already ready to go. They know the ways of SFI. Therefore, they are in a better position to "sow seeds" of futuristic goals. Also, this would be a way to boost their morale and fine tune their skills, as also make them feel the power of SFI behind them.

Its a two-fold benefit here. Like "little drops make an ocean".

Finally, its upto you to decide on your abilities to separate the stars from the constellation.

A very good question!

In terms of making a buisness, you have to have lots and lots of initiatives and capital. Here in your SFI Business, your "CAPITAL" is of course, your active downline. However, in the initial days/months/year, you wont get active PSAs and hence your search should be continued and try with them to develop.

As said above, you may not expect more than 10 from 1000 PSAs to be active and hence, you may need to look and filter for those best 5 or 10 or more from your Capital and start moving with that. With this flow, you may not to concentrate with more affiliates joining you but if you are really want to earn then put your time to make an entry for each and every affiliate joining you and train them to be active. At-least, you may spend time with them training for two months and I am sure, you can make them very active in this business. Often they might have minor queries to their sponsor and this can be done very easily with exchanging emails or even phone calls.

Filter the BEST and GET them with you...

I personally believe in quality before quantity.

With SFI though we can only lead by example and voice. We cannot force people to do anything. With that in mind I prefer using the SBuilder and Bid&Build because the it's a more steady flow versus the extremes of all or none that come with PSA's to go.

Along with PSA's come teaching. I find its easier to teach 'one on one and that can happen sooner with my preferred method of building my team.

It helps the team tremendously when the Team Lead shows their enthusiasm by their actions versus words. It's easier to follow, more contagious, and easier to believe.

Remember to work up beyond EA if you want EA's. They need someone with experience to help them. Everyone has their own style of learning and implementing what works for them. It's OK. Just do that.

Also keep in mind that each individual needs to want to become EA every month. Learn how to motivate and inspire them to make it happen.

It is easy to find new PSAs however finding active ones is very much a numbers game. You need some volume of PSA signups in order to find the relatively small percentage who will work to become EAs.

So I don't think either of these goals is exclusive. Sponsor as many PSAs as you can. Be an awesome sponsor as taught by SFI. Develop communication with all of your PSAs. Keep an eye on your Movers list and you will see the ones who are obviously worth focussing your main efforts on, and you will get your smaller number of EAs. Work with these and explain duplication to them all.

However, don't neglect the rest of your genealogy or your 'sleepers'. Keep sending them your TeamMails and newsletters with encouragement and tips and they may wake up and come back to become EAs you can work with too.
