My approach is to use both Wave3 and S-Builder.
I find they compliment each other, and both can lead ultimately to a team of PSA's that you can help to mold into a winning team, as long as you put in the time to communicate with each team member.

Signing them up through Wave3 does not stop you from recruiting and sponsoring them as SFI affiliates it is merely a different path. If they don't join SFI then you still have the royalties on their purchases which helps the short term bottom line and provides you with more $$$ for other methods of attracting or rewarding your successful team members! The KEY is getting out there in the real world and attracting new members1 The perks are tools to help you get the most out of your investment of time, energy and other resources. The decal is a conversation starter that can be very effective if used properly (you have to know the ins and outs as well as the real benefits of the program to your recruits!)
As you continue to purchase and hand out X cards I believe that you will find that the cost evens out over time on a per team member basis.

With S-Builder you get a steady gentle stream of new affiliates which gives you a chance to connect with each one before the next one arrives. This can allow you to spend some quality time helping them get on track with the right attitudes and habits to become successful in our program. This steady stream comes without you spending your efforts recruiting. You get to put your time into development instead.

Use both of these excellent tools in the right way and you will be in a very good position to be the ultimate example of what you want each member of your team to accomplish!

My advice to you is to participate in both.
Why?
Number one, Wave3 is like a super bonanza, you only pay once and it's so cheap, just $1.98 and it's like you are set for life or for as long as you want to be. Every month you get free Member Reward Points, Free TCredits and the chance to buy some selected goods on TripleClicks cheaper than people who are not W3 members and the chance to win other fabulous gifts.
Now tell me, is this a bonanza or not.
As for the S-Builder, if like me, you find it difficult to talk to people and get sign ups, the S-Builder will do all that for you. Though it's not a given that people who sign up will stay or even be active, the risk is not more than, (if not less)if you signed the people on yourself. You get people who signed on assigned to you every month and unless you are jinxed some of these people will stay and you will earn money through them.

And less I forget, the cost of the S-Builder is just about $0.72 cents per day.
That is why I said initially that both of them are good to run your business with as part of the first building blocks of your business. And did I mention the free ad you also get for your business by sticking the decal to your car and giving out the cards with your gateway details on it.

So you see my friend your best bet is to go for gold by investing a little in the two of them.

W3 and S-Builder Coop are two different programs in SFI with two different purposes.

The main purpose of Wave 3 (W3) is for us to help promote SFI/TripleClicks through the Decal that is sent to us that we stick on our cars: In return it gives us the following benefits.

Becoming a W3 member is a onetime fee (for shipping) for a decal to put on your vehicle window on the front, back or side. Take a photo of you standing by your vehicle with the W3 decal showing and up-lode it to TripleClicks for approval. You are now a W3 member for life.

Now using S-Builder you are investing a monthly amount of money ($22USD) a month as a standing order) into acquiring PSAs that will go on your front line. (Level one)

The price listed above is for one share of the monthly co-op advertising in which you are not guaranteed any certain amount of PSAs received. You can purchase any number of shares each month thereby increasing the amount of PSAs received.

If you do not put S-Builder on a standing order then the cost will run you $24USD per share.

Now if you are hard pressed financially and you are trying to decide between a onetime investment for a single month I would suggest to you to purchase the W3 system. Wave is mostly only a marketing program for TripleClicks: Wave sticker only advertises TripleClicks in general, but still can catch attention and raise the overall value of VP (bound to the sales). Wave X-cards and the invitation link are bound to your account though, and thus can create PRMs and winoptions for the weekly wave drawing. Additionally you will be rewarded with monthly bonus points.

From S-Builder Coop you will automatically receive shares of PRMs and PSAs depending on the success of SFIs own marketing. It helps you to build your downline and can even get you some sales from TC.
