"When you encourage others, you in the process are encouraged because you're making a commitment and difference in that person's life...
Encouragement really does make a difference!"
Logging in from long period of inactivity after weekly team mails and e-cards sent is actually an indicator of success to your perseverance and persistence.
Acknowledgement, recognition and encouragement can make this inactivity to something positive both for the affiliate and you.
Welcome him or her back and offering support and assistance can be a start. Especially that there have been so many innovations and developments in SFI and TripleClicks.

If the affiliate logs in after a long time away, I think he/she should be acknowledged. After all, he/she is a member of your SFI team.
As for what you should say, I don't think you should ask your affiliate where he/she has been-that's private. Welcome them back, ask them what they remember. If need be, start them off fresh as if he/she just joined SFI. (Start, SFI Basics, LaunchPad; tell them to read Forum posts, search the Forum and research the black toolbar on his/her SFI Homepage.)

Let me ask you this: If you saw a friend that you had not seen in a long time, what would you do? Would you acknowledge them?
I say do the same with this affiliate. We should not treat our fellow team members any different than we treat someone that we know "face-to-face". Afterall, they are real people.
I would acknowledge the fact that they have logged in after being inactive. I would send them and Ecard or an email. You can say something like:
"Hi, it's good to see you. How have you been?"
I would also let them know that you are there to assist them if they have any questions.

A quick "Welcome Back" message will let them know you care about them, and that they are still a welcome part of your team. I was inactive for a number of years due to some serious health issues. When I returned, even a quick "Welcome back! Is there anything I can do to help you move your business forward?" message would have been nice to see. Sadly, I did not get one.
The reason they have been inactive may be personal or professional, and if they wish to share it with you, that is fine. Otherwise, I would leave it alone.
I would then work with them the way I would work with a brand new affiliate, starting by sending them a series of emails outlining the steps they need to take to succeed at SFI.

Great Question. This has happened to me and what I do is send an e-card and share that I noticed they signed in and I am so happy that they are possibly giving SFI another chance.
I also let them know that I have sent several emails to my downline and they might want to check their messages and read up on what they have missed.
I then share that they should save all of my messages for future times. Especially, if they decide to work SFI as a business and start getting a downline that they would need to support. My emails might help them to answer questions they might not have an answer too.
Then I share my favorite quote: "You don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great." -Les Brown

Super question and one which we all encounter sooner or later.
In my point of view you should absolutely acknowledge their presence. Best if you see them online and can set up a live chat with them. But chances are often slim that you will see them when they are online.
Second best is to send them an e-card. The “I Can Help” category might be just the thing to get their attention. Offer your assistance in any way you can. You could even go the extra mile and offer them, if they request it via email, a TC Gift Certificate just to help them start to get acquainted with some of the many facets of TripleClicks.
You could also, after checking their VPLedger, refer them to some of the learning activities which they may have not gotten to as yet. Or even to reread the Launchpad lessons.
Any help you can offer without being too pushy is always best. Just always try to keep a line of communication open.

Most definitely! What you would say and the method you would use to make contact might vary depending on your past relationship with this person. For example were they working closely with you in the past over a longer period of time or were they distant and active for a short period of time.
You do not need to know why they became inactive. If they want you to know they will volunteer that information to you.
The main thing is that you let them know you are available to assist them in anyway you can.
Show that you are concerned by asking them how they are doing. You might want to share some obstacles you've had to overcome and some of your recent achievements.
Give them room to open up to you. Your initial communication after a long layoff should be brief and simple. Keep the pressure off for a day or so before offering any intensives for reaching certain milestones. You don't want to cause them to feel boxed in.
Personally I would not include a PSA in my Co-Op that is not performing well. It is a good idea to review their VP Ledger beforehand. They must prove themselves. It is better for a new PSA to have a passionate and active sponsor and supportive upline. After awhile you can tell if someone is in for the long haul.

I will certainly acknowledge this.
I'll first welcome him/her back and tell him that how glad I'm to see him/her back.
Then,I'll try to find out from him/her why he/she was inactive for so long, and hope that it wasn't for health reasons or anything bad happened to him/her.This will show him/her that you care for him/her as a person and not just as an affiliate in your team.
If the reasons of inactivity were related to SFI,then I'll ask what difficulties forced him/her to stop.
I will then offer to help him/her in anyway that is possible to get him/her on his /her feet again, and assure him/her that I'll be there should he/she needs any help.
I will then send him/her a welcome back gift,it could be TCredits or a gift certificate to encourage a new start.

You must acknowledge when some of your inactive affiliate suddenly shows up in your movers list. I strongly suggest you to do following actions when it happens
1. Welcome him back immediately when he shows up by saying something like "Welcome back to SFI 'his name'. I am here to assist you and I believe you are going to grab the real taste of success on return"
2. Soon after let him know about the new and enjoyable portions added into SFI and TripleClicks. I rather suggest you to tell him how easy he new games are and how can hey produce huge benefit at very low effort but in very short time too.
3. Observe his activity everyday and follow up with good and quality advices to earn his faith.

Acknowledge yes of course you should. Welcome him/her again and encourage him/her to continue. Tell him/her that you are glad and pleased to see him/her active again in your team. And encourage him/her to log in daily and continue doing the task at The SFI Affiliate Center....
It should be a happy moment for you but your PSA's may not realize that, keep your emotions in control but do treat him/her as any of your other team members.
Sometimes as team leaders we should realize there are unforeseen reasons why they could not log in but let me say this it is said prayer helps and changes things. So pray for your downline and also for SFI Business nothing is there as an accident everything has it's purpose and everything is going to be accomplished some time, now or in the future. Always keep a positive mind.
Hope I have been of help!
