Those affiliates who aspire to be TLs are overachievers. Welcome and embrace that quality as most will do nothing! They want to be the best in all they do. They love the competition and thrive on the challenge. Welcome them with open arms and reward them for their faithfulness.

That said, I don't push my team to maintain higher milestones without the supporting structure of EAs. EAs are the building blocks of a successful network. Everyone can do this. Everyone can find a transfer buy and invest into their future based on their budget. For example if you play your cards right you can nearly earn 1000 to 1200 VP from activities like participation in auctions, Eager Zebra games, AskSC, the Daily Grand, and the home page action tabs. Depending on how many points shy of 1500 they are a small transfer buy will solidify EA2 for life each month.

Therefore it is more important to encourage PSAs to keep cost dost and build a strong foundation for their SFI business. Leave no EA with PSAs. Then the higher milestone will not be difficult to re-qualify for. As more EAs are added to the team other EAs will make higher milestones automatically. It is spontaneous advancement that is desired more than struggling to maintain and grow.

On principle, I would never discourage anyone from going after this business. What I advise them to do is to earn 1,500 VP first just by going through the training materials so they know that an affiliate can built up to EA level without investing a penny. In my case, it took me six days to reach that level. Once an affiliate is at that level, a 1500 VP standing order boosting them up to TL Bronze level makes a lot of sense. It took me eight days in the business to get to TL Bronze level, and I must say that I had my sponsor's attention and support the whole way, and it made an incredible difference.

If a person declares themselves a leader in the business, by all means encourage them. My sponsor transferred both PSAs and CSAs to me as soon as I make TL Bronze. That really set me on fire. Incidentally, two of those CSAs became my first EA2s. Then when I received the bonus of another 59 CSAs from the company for being at the TL Bronze level, I was fully engaged and roaring with unstoppable enthusiasm.

The funny thing is in retrospect, I could have made it to the Bronze level even sooner, and possibly gone on to Team Leader Silver level that first month. That is how fired up I was.

It is great for every affiliate to be a team leader, but understanding the whole concept of SFI is what matters. Most people new to SFI are eager to make quick money, so the little investment they make, they expect to get it back in the first month.

If it happen that they didn't get it back, they get disappointed and give up.

I would advice a new PSA to take his/her time to study the concept of SFI for the first month and just make sure he/she attain EA status.

If it happens this way, the PSA will use the full advantage of the team leader position well.

But for PSA's who are very serious and understand what SFI provide to it's affiliates, they can get the TL status and explore. Thank you.

Never, I mean, never ever discourage your PSA's by any means necessary! If you do that, what will they think about you and SFI? Think about it!

The first and the most important thing in my opinion, make your PSA's see a friend in you! That way you will have a nice communication which is the key, and then you can explain them that being a Team Leader without a team means nothing. However, don't discourage them, ever, it will have negative effects for sure, whatever the thing is.

Remember, you are their guide, their teacher, their mentor, and the most important, their friend.
If they look upon you, and you discourage them for no matter what, there are good chances they will do the same with their teammates, which is bad for both of you.

Support your team, no matter what the thing is unless if it's bad. Since there are no bad things in SFI just support them with everything they need!

The important word here is 'want', If your PSAs want to become Team Leaders right away, then by all means support them and guide them. Make sure they understand what a Team Leader means. Make sure they understand the rules within SFI (like the starting from zero every month: this always confuses people).

Then guide them on how to build their team. Show them the ins and outs of SFI and TripleClicks so that they can really start being a Team Leader to their own Team. After all, the more active PSAs we have, the better for us in the long run.

Now the important thing is to be certain that your PSA do not rush before understanding. This is where you as his sponsor plays a part. If he wants to succeed, he would've started asking questions from Day 1 and you should've started answering them from Day 1. Teamwork is important.

I would not want to go with the words “encourage” or “discourage.” Just present the facts before your PSAs and let them take their individual decisions. Remember, your PSAs are individual business persons who may want absolute freedom to do their own things. Be careful how you present your advice to them. If you present your facts right, many of your PSAs will find out that:

1. It is not wise to aspire to be a Team Leader when you are yet to build a team you can lead.
2. If your team is not deep enough, you can not earn substantial matching VPs due Team Leaders.
3. Action VPs are more difficult to earn in SFI and a good team allows you to earn many action VPs which help you to Team Leadership position eventually.
4. In SFI, it is always better to do first things first to get maximum benefits. Team Building comes before Team Leadership.
5. A PSA can remain EA from month to month and still earn very well till her team is deep enough before thinking of advancing.
6. Titles don’t matter much in SFI. It is earnings that count.
7. Many of your PSAs will follow your lead if they know you lead by example.
8. Your advice is to help them take their own decisions.
9. Your own story and experience well-told goes a long way to help your PSAs.
10. Even EAs are leaders in their own rights so why the haste in advancing further?

Personally, I would discourage them from becoming TLs immediately. I think you'd be doing them a great disservice. Why?

SFI isn't like any other MLM out there. It takes time to understand it all, enough to be able to lead a team successfully. "Buying" your way to the top won't help you learn the business. Eventually your team members may get discouraged that they're spending more money than they're earning to maintain their TL level.

I have an excellent sponsor who discouraged me from moving too fast like I tried to do the first time I was with SFI. I made BTL before I even had three active PSAs under me. After a couple of months of frustration at having to spend my own money to maintain that level, I ended up dropping out of the business.

So now I follow my sponsor's lead and I encourage my new team members to take it slow too. Learn the business and make sure your own strategy is working and successful first. And as new members join under you, you'll earn the required VPs to maintain your TL level just by helping your team earn and maintain EA2 themselves.

So no, I would not encourage them to rush to being a TL until they've got a good handle on the whole business, have a successful strategy that they can encourage their new PSAs to duplicate, and then let TL status happen organically.

I would not encourage my PSA's to become Team Leader right away, especially if they are new to the world of internet marketing.

They need to understand the basics of the SFI system, and if they make Team Leader right away, which can be done quite easily with all the free VP they can earn from the getting started actions and Launchpad, the following months can become very disappointing to them.

Help them understand the value of being an EA every month, and how to teach their downline the same thing. Then, their Team Leader rank will take care of itself as they build their team.

If your PSA does understand the concept of network marketing, then I would encourage them to become at least a BTL as soon as they can; the derive many more benefits, and start building a team of CSA's.

Personally,I feel that we should encourage and not discourage our PSAs who want to become Team Leaders right way.

However being a Team Leader ourselves, we should guide and motivate them properly and effectively so that they will continuously remain as a Team Leader and not just being a one or two months wonder and subsequently be downgraded back to Executive Affiliate status.

Firstly you have to instil in them that to qualify as a Team Leader every month you need to have a combination of SVP (Sales Versa Points) and AVP (Action Versa Points).Let's take Bronze Team Leader (BTL) for example. A BTL needs to earn 3000 points to qualify with a minimum of 1,500 SVP and maximum of 2,000 SVP and the remainder being the AVP.As such you have to advice them on the ways to earn the required SVP, the easiest being A 1500 VP SO for the purchase of 125 TCredits.This will require some investment of S36.25.As for the balance SVP I would suggest to purchase 5 1 TCredit thus earning another 510 SVP.The 1000 AVP required can be obtained by performing the daily,weekly, monthly actions, TripleClicks product reviews, team leadership & support and also participation in various Eager Zebra games,TC Music downloading as well as Pricebenders Auction bid.

Secondly emphasise to your PSAs the need to recruit new affiliates as our business can only grow with more active downliners (affiliates.There are many ways to do so, some of the more common one being to promote SFI in Facebook, Twitters as well as other free advertisement site.

Thirdly,encourage your PSAs to refer as many new ECAs(E-Commerce Associate)possible. Besides earning extra AVP they can also earn commissions for every products sold by the referred ECA (s), thus having a guaranteed residual income for life.

Other additional benefits that can be obtained for being team leaders are as follows:
1. Receive matching VP on all EA2s in their downline within 6 levels (including their

It is not just a case of encouraging or discouraging your PSA's to become a team leader. You need to give them a full explanation of your reasons for the advice you are giving.

You should be explaining to them that they would not be getting any of the team leader benefits, (apart from 2nd home CSA's,) if they haven't got a team to lead. Of course if they are extremely lucky they could pick up a couple of EA2's in their 2nd home CSA's but that is rather a gamble.

They would be far better off spending the money they will need to spend to upgrade, on some paid advertising so they could build their team up. Once they have a team to lead then I will encourage them to become team leaders.
