Hello, my friend.
Yes.
It is worthwhile!
This is the ideal scenario: that you, as an "awesome sponsor", are paying close attention to the sign-up alerts SFI sends out, as soon as a new PSA registers.
Obviously, it is always worthwhile to send individual welcome letters to new PSAs as soon as you get the notification.
SFI is very good at alerting sponsors that they have a new PSA.
Several options are available to take advantage of them
A. The SFI Internal Messaging (SFIIM)
As you may have noticed, the alert mentions the opportunity to chat with your PSA using the SFIIM, the internal chat portal, as they may still be online by the time the alert is sent out.
Any form of positive communication with the new PSA will have a beneficial impact in helping them feel welcome and appreciated.
Within their early hours of joining, they will know that you are ready to help them, assist them, and answer their questions.
This may impact their behavior and motivate them to take SFI seriously, be very active and turn out to be high achievers.
Every sponsor should strive to send such individual welcome letters.
It is the first step of being an "awesome sponsor."
The question is: Is it always possible to send such individual "Welcome letters'?
When your daily PSA sign-ups are relatively low, yes. It is good and highly desirable to do so.
B. The Genealogy "Date Joined" Filter
However, we also know that there are some sponsors who get tens and tens of sign-ups, and few others who get hundreds of sign-ups on a daily basis.
Those very lucky sponsors may not be able to send such individual "Welcome Letters".
Then two alternatives are available:
First: At the end of the day, the sponsor can filter this genealogy and select all the PSAs that have signed-up that day. A welcome letter may then be sent to them. It will still within the 24 hours of sign-up, and the new PSA will still feel welcome.
C. The Next Day "PSA Recap"
Second: SFI sends a PSA recap that lists all the sign-ups of the previous day.
The sponsor can use that list to send a 'welcome letter'. That is also with the first 24 of the sign-up.
In both scenarios First and and Second above, the sponsor has the opportunity to alert the new PSA on the importance of scoring the Fast Track.
D. The PSA/Genealogy Mailer
The third opportunity is the one you mentioned: PSA/Genealogy mailer.
This is a tool that must be used with wisdom. There is a balance to be struck between useful and timely communications versus "too many mailings" which may take away the interest and the keenest for somebody to open the emails they will receive.
If too much emails are being sent, the affiliate may resort to ignoring them.
