Hello Pamela and thank you for this very important question.
Honesty and trust are essential ingredients of any relationship and that includes the relationship between you as a sponsor and your affiliates.
I think if the sponsor does not know the answer, the resources at SFI make it possible for him or her to find it. A few examples of these resources include the Forum, your upline, ASK SC and many more. A leader is not necessarily a person who has answers to every question but one who is able to guide their followers in the right direction. Just imagine another scenario where you came face to face with would be affiliates during off-line marketing. What would you do if they asked a question to which you had no answer? Surely, there would not be enough time to find online answers and the honest response would be “Sorry, I do not have an immediate answer but I will get back to you later.”
In conclusion, although leaders are expected to know more than their followers, learning never stops for everyone and asking questions is one form of learning.

This has happened to me. What I did was contact my own upline, both of them (sponsor and co-sponsor) and get their take on the subject. It might be a specific question with a specific (and only one) answer, but it could be an opinion in which case having 2 more points of view wouldn't hurt.
If it's an opinion type answer with no right or wrong, give them your opinion, those of your uplines, and maybe advise them to reach out through the Forum or a2a friends. I've done this too.

This happens many times with most of the team leaders... No one will know everything.
Try to understand your team member's question in all aspects and try to give him something. If not, no shame. You can tell that you will check about it with some of his co-team members and will provide with the best and correct solution.
In business there is no need to worry if you dont know about something. We need to learn our everyday lessons. Your team member needs support with his question and your part is to provide the best solution. That' it. Take help from anyone and resolve it as soon as possible and it good right, you are also learning something new from this.

Great question.
I always search for the answer on SFI and if I am unsure of the answer I will refer to my upline.
Once I have the answer I do not just answer the question for them.Instead I point them in the direction of the answer.I feel that this is the best way to learn about SFI.
Many times I have been looking for an answer to a question and in my search learned something new.
If they still do not understand then I will help them to understand the quesion, but I feel it is always to try to help them find it on their own

When a team member ask a question and you do not know the answer never tell them directly you do not know. Then, you must look for the right answer available in SFI’s great system like the Support Team and Ask SC. Without good answer, you will need to continue to search with your Up line Leaders or friends A2A.If you do not see again the true answer, go to Forum (an awesome sponsor SFI) to ask every member and to win your search. If you do this research yourself, you will find that by helping your team member. Also, you are helping them to solve their problem while at same time you are learning something new.

We all ask questions at one point or the other and therefore we are appointed Sponsors/Co-sponsors/Upline and they are all here to help us, they might not have all the answers but they will make the ultimate effort to assist you with your questions. When they cannot help they ask you to Submit a ticket.
Another simple way of getting answers is SFI-basics and Launchpad Lessons if you read all these materials there are so much info you realise that you missed.
When I first started my sponsor sent me an email telling me to READ, read and read because intriguing info is sometimes missed and you feel lost and once you get this feeling of hoplessness your mind decides for you to QUIT, but why should you quit when the line of communication between you and your sponsor is poor.
So my advice to you about if you want a correct answer to your question and you get no joy from your Team then do your homework because each Tab has self explanatory information which is vital for your business. All information is paramount when it comes to your business whether from Upline or Sponsor, its important.

You should let them know that you don't know but that you will find out as soon as possible and give them an answer. Ask your up-line, ask your A2A friends or visit the forums or see if you can find the answer on the FAQs page. You can teach them also how to look for the answer. That way the can learn how to look up the answer for their questions. and if the answer is not found or they are not satisfied you can always ask Gery.
