My Dad was a salesman, and he always said that whenever someone is not interested in your product, that you are one step closer to the person that is. So keep smiling, keep your chin up and stay positive. Just be yourself and talk to people naturally with sincerity. I don't think there's one proven speech that works with everyone. You must learn to read people and then apply an appropriate speech. Start with a compliment. That works well and breaks the ice.
