I think the best way to get someone interested in SFI is to found out which area of the program would appeal to them the most; basically, you need to know your audience. Once you find that out, then concentrate on that area initially. The key is to identify an area of the SFI program that they could get excited about.
In other words, if someone is looking for a second income…guess what, we have that in SFI. As a matter of fact, SFI has multiple income streams! Maybe someone is interested in playing games…guess what, SFI has numerous different types of games. Introduce the person to Zack the Zebra! Maybe someone has a hobby that they would like to market…guess what, TripleClicks has that available to market around the world! Maybe someone loves penny auctions… guess what, Pricebenders is the answer. I think you get the jest of what I am saying.
So now you are probably wondering “How do I get to know my audience?” Well here is a technique I learned a long time ago. With this, you can get to know who you are talking with in a matter of minutes. Think of the word F.O.R.M. – Family, Occupation, Recreation, Message. People normally love to talk about themselves or their families. Now you do not want to seem creepy or that you are “stalking” someone but casually ask them about their Family, their Occupation, what they do for Recreation and tie in which part of SFI that would appeal to them. Then you could deliver a short Message about how SFI could help or fulfill that need or interest.
