I am no psychologist but I have researched self-esteem in my personal improvement over the past several years. Self-esteem normally develops based on experiences in a person’s life; it is basically how you feel about yourself. And there is one good thing about low self-esteem…you can change it! But you have to take the initiative; it takes time and persistence.

You can build up your self-esteem in many different ways. A few thoughts are to forget the past, think and talk with a positive mental attitude, accept yourself, exercise, be assertive, appreciate your special abilities and qualities, stop worrying, read a book on self-development, take a course in personal development, and always have some fun.

Within the SFI Community, the resources for building self-esteem are unlimited! Reading, learning the program, getting involved/participating and seeking support from your Sponsor, Co-Sponsor or any of the other leaders in SFI is going to help make you a GREAT leader! Just like growing your SFI business, and as I mentioned previously, it is going to take time and persistence.

Experience comes with time. (Yes, there is that word again!) But SFI has made it possible for you to earn while you learn. If you follow the program, seek counsel from your upline, work with your downline, strive to acquire new knowledge every day, you will gain the experience needed to be a GREAT Team Leader in SFI.

This is a very good question and a question I think a lot of affiliates ask themselves. The short answer is, you should expect to produce income as soon as you join.

Realistically, it will depend on you, as to when you start producing income. This question is specific and individual to each SFI affiliate. I believe everyone has to decide what this answer is for themselves. How much do you want to earn? What is your expectation of how long it will take to reach that level? This all depends on the level of participation and work that a member puts into building their SFI business. This is part of the reason goals have been incorporated into the SFI daily routine. It helps to keep you on track of what you want to achieve.

Everyone is looking for a Return On Investment (ROI) and it is mostly based on how much income can be produced over a period of time. But you have to be honest with yourself. SFI will not make you rich overnight because it is not programmed that way. If it was, then they would not have been around for 17+ years. It may take some time for you to grow your business to the point where you establish a steady residual income. But it can be done. How long? It depends on you.

If you are learning/doing the recommended training, are an active participant in the daily, weekly and monthly items on the To-Do list (and other venues within SFI), along with sponsoring other affiliates and becoming a team leader, then your expectation should be you are producing income already. To coin a phrase, the more you put into something, the more you will get out.

I think the best way to get someone interested in SFI is to found out which area of the program would appeal to them the most; basically, you need to know your audience. Once you find that out, then concentrate on that area initially. The key is to identify an area of the SFI program that they could get excited about.

In other words, if someone is looking for a second income…guess what, we have that in SFI. As a matter of fact, SFI has multiple income streams! Maybe someone is interested in playing games…guess what, SFI has numerous different types of games. Introduce the person to Zack the Zebra! Maybe someone has a hobby that they would like to market…guess what, TripleClicks has that available to market around the world! Maybe someone loves penny auctions… guess what, Pricebenders is the answer. I think you get the jest of what I am saying.

So now you are probably wondering “How do I get to know my audience?” Well here is a technique I learned a long time ago. With this, you can get to know who you are talking with in a matter of minutes. Think of the word F.O.R.M. – Family, Occupation, Recreation, Message. People normally love to talk about themselves or their families. Now you do not want to seem creepy or that you are “stalking” someone but casually ask them about their Family, their Occupation, what they do for Recreation and tie in which part of SFI that would appeal to them. Then you could deliver a short Message about how SFI could help or fulfill that need or interest.

This is a question that both new and experienced online marketers are always trying to answer.

Paying for traffic or paid advertising needs to be part of everyone’s marketing tool box. The majority of companies that sell advertising, whether hits or visitors, normally do have a vetting process for the prospects they market to. They are not going to risk their business or livelihood with some “run-of-the-mill” program. They will want to provide a good product so there are return and/or new customers. Of course, there are some advertising programs that are just looking for a quick dollar and then they are gone.

Unfortunately, the answer to your question could be yes and no. In other words, some purchased traffic may work for sales and sign-ups but some will not. If you can designate you want only traffic from those people looking for a business opportunity, then you have a better chance with getting prospects. Most companies will guarantee a specific number of hits or visitors to your website but they all have a disclaimer that says they do not guarantee sales or sign-ups. And what works right now, may not work in the near future due to the dynamics of the online market.

What works for me is researching the different paid advertising offers I can find online and taking the top three for a test run. By that, I mean buying their lowest advertising package to see if they are a viable option. The most important thing is to make sure you can track the number of sales or sign-ups from each program. If one works better than the other, then I will purchase a larger advertising package from them. If none of them provide any sales or sign-ups, then I will look at other advertising programs to hopefully find one that will meet my advertising goals. I use a combination of sending traffic to my SFI affiliate links and also to my personal website where I do market the SFI program.

I realize this is somewhat of a gamble with your money. Some people may not be able to do this and that is OK. Continue marketing through the free methods that you have worked with or expand to other free paid advertising. When you reach an income level that you are comfortable to begin some paid advertising, then give it a try.

Knowing what your SFI business budget is, would help to provide a more definitive answer. However, as your question reads, you are just asking on what you should spend the most. But this would also depend on your goal(s) with your SFI business.

If you are wanting to build a big team within SFI, then the front runner to your budget would need to be spending the most on advertising, promoting the opportunity, and/or prospecting. The great thing readily available to you in this area is the SFI PSA program. Also, some of the ECAs provide advertising for PSA sign-ups. The ones I have tried have proven to be more productive than “cold” advertising or sending advertising out to unknown target markets.

When you try any paid advertising, you need to test it with a small amount of money first to see if will provide you with what you are looking for. Make sure to do your research on the advertising and even ask questions of the promoter or with the advertising program support. Remember to track where the sign-ups are coming from if you are advertising in more than one place. The majority of any paid advertising will not guarantee any sales. They may guarantee sign-ups but again, from my experience, those sign-ups are getting paid by a third source to register with a program but rarely ever participate.

You have probably heard that building a business is a numbers game. The more advertising you do, the more people you sign-up, the greater the chance of finding that “Diamond” in the rough amongst the many prospects.

Bottom line, I believe you should invest the most on building your team. I personally think that would help you in the long run. Then you can reevaluate your budget as your team grows.

I believe there are numerous qualities that should be considered and they are probably relative to our personal perceptions.

The areas that I consider the most important are participation, communication, and the member’s “Why”.

By participation, I mean being a part of most all the aspects of SFI. To name a few: Is the member doing their daily actions, the weekly actions, the monthly actions, and completing as much as they can on the “To-Do” List? Is the member playing the Eager Zebra games? Is the member joining in the auctions at price vendors? Is the member participating in the other contest in SFI? Is the member engaged in the discussions in the Forum? You can find out how much a member is participating by reviewing their ledger.

Communication is an important part of any team and it has to be both ways. Are you in regular contact with the member? Does the member respond to your emails, posts, streams and other type of messages? Does the member send you messages, questions and/or ask you your opinion of something? Being able to communicate with your PSA’s is a solid foundation for working together.

The last area I think is most important is the members “Why”. Once you know what is motivating the member to be successful in this program, then you can really help and guide them towards reaching that desire. When a member tells you their “Why”, they have shared a personal part of themselves with you. This validates a sense of trust that should not be taken lightly but respected and appreciated.

The Designated Diamond program is long-term so remember the commitment you and your PSA will share as you both work towards Diamond Team Leader. Take the time to make a list of qualities you feel are important before you start sending out your invitations.

Yes I think brainstorming could be a great asset to helping you build your SFI team.

First, I think the term brainstorming needs to be defined so that everyone understands its general meaning. Wikipedia defines it like this: “Brainstorming is a group creativity technique by which efforts are made to find a conclusion for a specific problem by gathering a list of ideas spontaneously contributed by its members.” In short terms, you could probably say it is a form of creative problem solving.

The real benefits to any brainstorming comes from the synergy of information and ideas that are presented when a group of people get together to discuss a particular issue or situation. With so many different perspectives and experience levels from each person participating, one thought can lead to another and inspire the creativity of ideas. Through this formulating process, you come up with a greater plan or solution.

There is probably brainstorming going on right now in response to your question. And if you follow the threads in Ask SC or the Forum, you are probably seeing some brainstorming there.
One way to employ brainstorming is to plan a local or small regional workshop where all affiliates in the area can come together to formulate a plan, for example, to introduce or build the SFI program in that area.

Another way to employ brainstorming is through surveys. For example, ask a specific group of people a question like “How would you advertise a new business in this area?” You are sure to get numerous different answers and from the responses, you could formulate a solution for advertising in that area.

As a matter of fact, I just brainstormed an idea from my previous paragraph. If I was going to survey the question mentioned above to a group of people at a market, mall or legally in a public area, I would ask them to take my 1 question survey and as an incentive or reward, I would give them a TripleClicks Gift Card.

I guess creative problem solving does not necessarily have to happen in a group. It just takes creative thought.

In the financial world, a lot of people say "Pay yourself first." In SFI, I think that should still be the case.

Each affiliate's financial situation will be different but here is a recommendation to consider.

As you start to earn commissions and/or receive your signing bonus, you should pay for your business expenses first. You may have paid some expenses up front to build your SFI business so any initial earnings should go to pay yourself back.

As your earnings grow, continue to use those earnings to build your business. Work towards putting yourself in a situation where you can eventually pay for your business as you go with no out of pocket expenses.

Once your earnings grow beyond your business expenses, then it is time to move that money into other areas of your life. Whether it is to pay bills, start a savings account or even put money back in your business, you have worked hard for your supplemental earnings so use it to your benefit.

The one thing I do seriously think you should do with your supplemental earnings is to enjoy some of it! Go out to eat, buy yourself something nice or take a vacation. Reward yourself for the hard work and the achievements you have made!

Each individual will have their own focus and will advance in this program at their own personal pace. As Affiliates and Team Leaders, we need to be there for all members no matter if they are downline or not. I do not believe there is any right or wrong focus when first starting as long as an Affiliate continues to grow and adjust to changes in their journey to build this business.

When I first started with SFI, my focus was on learning more about the program and concentrating on myself and the things that I needed to do. My attention was on completing the daily, weekly, monthly action items. For me, I knew I wanted to be knowledgeable in a majority of the program aspects so that when I became a Team Leader I would be able to help my downline and others. I participated in all of the different areas to better understand what each entailed.

When I became more comfortable with the program information, I started building my Team. The focus at that point was now assisting others with issues and/or questions they might have. Since I had already formed the habit of doing things I needed to do on a daily/weekly bases, I did not have to focus as much time in these areas.

With the recent changes in SFI, which I personally think are in the right direction, my focus has changed slightly. I am still doing the same things as before but now I focus more effort on letting new PSAs and CSAs know about the signing bonuses. I think this is an important thing for them to understand as far as them becoming Silver and Gold Fast Start members to have the opportunity to receive the bonuses. I believe the bonuses will play a big part on whether new members continue and grow this business.

The final thing I do differently now is I have opened my own ECA store and spend time approaching other businesses to establish their own store online with TripleClicks.

To me, the one key thing you mention in your question is the word “focus”. Every affiliate needs to focus on achieving their goals with SFI. And as long as they maintain that focus, their goals can be met.
