Confusion and duplication cannot certainly walk hand in hand, as the end result would be more confusion.
I think one has to first establish the cause of confusion:
1. Is it due to information overload?
2. Is it due to language barriers?
3. Is it due to difficult in discerning what is presented?
Once the cause has been established it should be addressed before any duplication can take place. Of the three causes above, the most likely are the first two. Language barriers can be eased with translation tools or by re-assigning the affiliates to those who speak the same language. Trying to take in so much information in a very short time (or information overload) can make even simple things appear difficult. If the problem is simply in understanding what you are presenting to them even though they speak the same language as you, then, it is better to slow down and just take it step by step. Ensure what you show them first has been grasped before moving on to the next and give an allowance for a feedback. As we are human, some will grasp your information faster than others and this not the sponsor’s fault.
In summary, to make the process of duplication easier, ensure form the outset that the affiliates are clear as to what SFI is, their role and have no other barriers that can impede their progress. If there are any barriers discuss them first.
