One of the good communication tools that SFI has given us is the “Stream” where we are allowed to send short messages just to our PSAs or CSAs or generations 2 – 8 or to our entire team generations 1 – 8 including our CSAs. And of course we can send a message to our a2a friends.
I use the stream post to send up-dates in SFI or TripleClicks – if the up-dates are longer than 340 characters (which most of them are) I text a short explanation and include the link and suggest that everyone reads it. I send these up-dates to my entire team 1-8 levels and CSAs.
I also use the stream to recognize achievements made by any members in my team, such as new levels achieved – prizes won – and/or new badges they qualified for.
When I run a contest or an incentive program I use the stream to keep those that are participating up-dated with the weekly progress of the contest or incentive. (I direct them to my leadership page [including the link] where the details are).
I also send good quotes along with my own comments fitting to the quote being used. These messages I send to both my entire team and a2a friends.
When I write my own “dribble” message (not using quotes) of either education or motivational I will send them to my a2a friends and all teammates including CSAs.
Don’t underestimate the value of the “Stream” – if you use it regularly with good fresh content and information your teammates and a2a friends will be watching for your next post.
I personally try to write a stream post every day. And sometimes I have been known to have two or three post in one day.
And now that I have my own ECA – I will also include a message to those connected to my ECA and it also gets posted on the “stream” page.
Use the stream wisely and often – give good information or motivational messages. You never know whose button you might push that will get them activated.
