Before doing anything gauge the interest of your team members first. Just simply put it out there and say to them that you are thinking of running local training sessions. Is there any interest?
Your next step will depend on the feedback you get. If there is great interest and you are going to go ahead with the training, ask your team members what they would like to be covered in the training. You want them to buy-into the idea of getting together and having a say in what the training is about.
You will of course structure the training sessions guided by what your team members want. You don't have to cover everything they want all at one session. You can also cover what you believe needs to be covered.
Limit your training sessions to 2-4 hours and hold them at a central location to which most of your local affiliates can go. It may not be in your hometown. Start at a suitable time, allowing for travel etc..
If this is going to be the 1st of several sessions make sure that you host your team member well, within reason. Make sure the training is the best. You want them to go away happy that they have learnt from the day and looking forward to the next training sessions.
